Chapter 29

Twenty-Nine

Jacob

Jacob laced his fingers into Will's, and they walked down the mountain holding hands. Jacob felt like he was in another world than the one he had been before. All of his worry, his anxiety and uncertainty had changed into pure joy when he had realized Will didn't hate him, and was willing to give him another chance. He was sure he had almost lost the best thing that had ever happened to him, purely due to his own fear and stupidity.

He brought Will's hand up, his own hand still wrapped against it, and pressed a kiss into the back of his hand as they walked down the street toward Will's house. Will's eyes shone back, and his smile couldn't be erased. Jacob was so glad to see him smile, to know that he felt the same way.

They were alone at Will's house for at least a few more hours, before his parents came home from work. They cuddled on Will's bed, Jacob exploring Will's body in a whole new light.

"God, being away from you for one fucking night was unbearable," Jacob said, in between kisses.

Will sighed. "I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought so. I was convinced you were happy at your hotel, glad I was finally gone," Will said, shaking his head. The thought seemed to sadden him a little, so Jacob placed his hands on Will's shoulders.

"Will. Listen to me. I'm not going anywhere. What do I have to do to prove it to you? Here, let me do something," Jacob said. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and opened up Facebook.

"What are you doing?" Will said, with a curious smile.

Jacob opened the photo of Will kissing him, and selected it as his profile photo.

"There. I don't care who sees, I want everyone to see. See that you're with me," Jacob said, putting the phone away.

Will shook his head, smiling, his eyes wide. "You didn't have to do that. But you are incredibly sweet," he said, kissing Jacob again.

"I might… I might call my mom later, and tell her too. She's been asking me forever when I'm gonna finally meet someone and… stay with someone. She worries about me. I'm scared, but, I want to tell her," Jacob said, pulling in a deep breath.

"It's okay, Jacob. Go at your own speed. As long as you're with me, you don't have anything to prove anymore," Will said, running the back of his hand along Jacob's cheek and jawline.

Suddenly, Will's phone rang from across the room. He kissed Jacob one more time.

"Ugh, it's so hard to walk away from you, even just to get the phone!" he said, with a laugh. He got up, looked curiously at the caller ID, and answered.

"Hey – Erica? Hi! Didn't expect to hear from you again, how are you doing?..."

As Will talked on the phone, Jacob looked again at the photo of Will kissing him, public for all to see. A smile crept over his face and he was filled with a warm feeling, like finally he was doing what he was supposed to.

A few minutes later, Will hung up.

"Ho-ly shit," Will said, putting the phone down and looking at Jacob with wide eyes.

"What is it?" Jacob said, "Is everything okay?"

"Um… yeah, it's better than okay. That was Erica, the girl I met at the hotel in Santa Fe. She told me that she was in online marketing, and was there in Santa Fe to talk to an investor interested in her company. Apparently, the guy put money in, like a lot of money, and part of that is going to go to hiring paid interns. Jacob, she wants me to come intern for the company. She said she loved getting to know me, and knew that I wanted more experience in online marketing," Will said, walking slowly back over to the bed and sitting on the edge of it, his eyes still wide.

"Will, that is amazing ! Congratulations! She just offered you the job? You don't even have to interview?" Jacob said.

"Apparently, yeah. She said getting to know me over those drinks was better than any interview could be. Said she wants creative people like me in her department," Will said.

Jacob was immensely happy for Will, but he did still have one question that was burning, lingering in his head.

"So… you said she was in Santa Fe traveling. So… where is the company located? Do you… do you have to go far?" Jacob was nervous, not wanting to lose Will right after finding him again.

"It's in Oceanside, Jacob. It's only thirty minutes away from San Diego," Will said, an incredulous smile on his face.

"Fuck yeah!" Jacob said, unable to control his shout.

"Yes!" Will shouted as well, and they hugged each other as tight as they could.

After a few moments, Will pulled away, shaking his head in disbelief.

"I can't fucking believe it. A few hours ago, I thought my life was going nowhere. And now everything feels different," Will said.

"Everything is different, Will. But maybe this is how it was meant to be all along. We can do this, Will. You and me. Together," Jacob said, a cheeky smile on his face.

Will laughed. "Jacob, Jacob, Jacob… you're always there with the cheesy inspiring speeches. Have you ever thought about being a motivational speaker?" Will smiled, his eyes alight.

"Just get over here and kiss me," Jacob said, smiling and pulling Will in close again.

A few hours passed, and Jacob and Will spent the entire time in bed together. Jacob had been planning on driving the rest of the way to San Diego that night, but now, he couldn't bear the thought of leaving Will so soon. Will's mom came home, and she had agreed that Jacob could spend the night in the guest room.

Will told her the good news, and she was elated that he had gotten a job, though sad he would be away from home again.

Jacob and Will waited in the living room of the house for dinner. Jacob looked around at the framed pictures on shelves, many of which showed Will and his brother.

"What is this one?" Jacob said, holding up a frame to Will.

Will smiled. "That's from Christmas, when I was about 9. I wanted that art set more than anything. It had like 100 pencils, 50 markers, a bunch of paints, chalks, brushes…"

"Wow, I didn't know you'd been doing art for that long," Jacob said, smiling and setting the photo down. They were alone in the living room, and he slowly pushed his arms around Will's midsection from behind, pulling him into his arms and gently rocking slightly.

"Yep, I've always been a crazy little artist," Will said, running his hands along Jacob's arms. "It's gonna be weird, actually… doing an internship that won't just be all art. It's strange to think I actually have a job ," he said.

Jacob let his arms go, turning to face him again. "I know. I still feel weird about starting my job, and I've known about it for a month. We're adults now," Jacob said, raising his eyebrows. "But that doesn't mean you should quit your art. You are so talented, Will. The world needs to see your work," Jacob said, earnestly.

"Thank you. So much. It really means a lot," Will said, giving Jacob's hand a squeeze.

When Will's dad arrived home from work, Jacob began to feel nervous. He didn't know what to expect. His mom was just finishing dinner as he came home, and about thirty minutes later, they sat down to eat.

"So, you two are friends from school? Were you an art major too, Jacob?" Will's dad asked, sitting down at the table.

"Me? No, no, I was actually a business and computer science double major. I'm going to work at an IT consulting firm in San Diego," Jacob said.

"Wow, business. Maybe you can teach Will a thing or two about business… he's much more of a creative type. Not as huge of a job market for that kind of stuff," Will's dad said, starting to eat.

"Actually, honey, Will has some news to share. Tell him," Will's mom said, unable to contain her smile.

"I got a job offer, dad. In California. It's for an online marketing firm," Will said, smiling at his dad.

Will's dad dropped his fork. "Are you shittin' me? Wow! I never thought I'd see the day! Marketing, huh? Wow, good for you, son. Job like that'll teach you a work ethic," his dad said, laughing.

"As far as I can tell, sir, your son's got a great work ethic. He never puts down that sketchbook," Jacob said, smiling at Will.

Will rolled his eyes but smiled back.

"I'm really excited. I'm gonna try to find rooms for rent in Oceanside over the next few days, and then I'll go out to stay with Jacob in San Diego in a few days while I look for a place of my own," Will said, proud.

"I'm surprised we didn't hear more about you earlier, Jacob, it seems like you and Will are really good friends," his mom said.

"We definitely are," Jacob said, smiling.

Jacob sat down at the edge of the bed in the guest room. Dinner had gone well – slightly awkward, as most dinners with parents go, but overall he had emerged from it unscathed. It was now 11:00 pm and Will's parents had gone to sleep on the other side of the house.

A few minutes after Jacob had sat down, he heard the slightest knock at the bedroom door. He stood up and opened it.

"Hi," Will said, whispering and sticking his head into the room. "You're coming with me," he said, smiling mischievously and grabbing Jacob's hand. He led Jacob back to his room, where they had spent the day earlier cuddling in Will's bed. Will shut the door behind them.

"Guess you're not gonna let me sleep in the guest room tonight?" Jacob said with a devious smile.

"Definitely not," Will said. He looked at Jacob for a few moments before pulling his shirt off over his head. He walked up to Jacob, pushing his lips onto his. They were slightly wet and very warm, and Jacob knew that kissing Will would never get old.

"How am I supposed to do that to you if we're in separate rooms?" Will said as he pulled away slightly, flirty.

Jacob took off his own shirt and brought Will back into his arms, their warm bodies touching, hot under the cool air of the blowing fan. He had certainly been intimate with Will before, but it felt completely different this time. He wasn't nervous, he wasn't questioning his own desires. Instead, he knew exactly what he wanted, and that something was right in front of him.

He kissed up and down Will's neck and down onto his chest, lightly bringing his nipples into his mouth. Will sighed deeply in pleasure, and already Jacob could feel his erection burgeoning in his pants.

" Mmmmmhh , I missed you…" Will said softly, his neck arched back as Jacob's mouth explored his body.

Jacob slowly dropped to his knees, and unbuttoned Will's jeans, pulling them down along with his underwear. He kissed the tip of Will's cock.

"I missed you too," he said, pulling the tip of Will's cock into his mouth with his warm lips. He sucked, teasingly, not allowing all of Will to enter him at first. He felt the warm flesh against his tongue, relishing it, wanting to make Will feel as good as he'd made him feel. He pumped his mouth slowly back and forth on Will's cock as it became even stiffer than before.

Sucking Will's cock made him feel powerful, like any little movement he made with his lips and tongue could set Will off. He liked being in control, and even better, he liked giving himself to Will, taking Will inside him as far as he could.

He paused briefly.

"You know you're mine, right?" Jacob said, gently kissing the head of Will's cock.

"Oh god, yes . I'm yours, Jacob," he said breathlessly. Jacob began to move his head faster up and down his cock. Will moaned blissfully.

"Jacob, you are so good at this," he said breathlessly, looking down into Jacob's eyes and grasping the back of his head with his hand. Jacob used one hand to pump the base of Will's cock while he sucked, faster, on the rest.

"Oh my god," Will said. "Oh fuck ."

Jacob knew Will was about to come. He stroked until Will moaned uncontrollably, and for the first time, Will came right into Jacob's mouth. It filled with his salty, slightly sweet taste, and Jacob sucked a little more, making sure to take all of Will, sucking him clean, swallowing.

Will laid down fully on the bed, twitching and trembling slightly, his eyes heavy lidded.

"Holy shit, Jacob," he said, between deep breaths. "That… that, I could get used to," he said, smiling slightly.

"You better start getting used to it," Jacob said, smiling up at him.

Jacob laid next to him in bed, and Will kissed him deeply. Before he knew it, Will had climbed downward to return the favor.

" Mmmmhh , Will… you are my absolute favorite," Jacob said, settling in.
