20. Thea

Chapter 20

Thea

T hea couldn't control the moan, her body trembling even as Jax's hand tightened around her throat whenever she made a sound.

She'd never been so turned on, and Jax had barely touched her.

She wasn't sure what to think when he'd pulled her onto his lap, spreading her legs like a whore in the middle of a club. Except she wasn't really on display, only those beneath the tables able to see anything. And that was if they were really looking.

She was embarrassingly wet, and she knew he could feel it when he finally dipped beneath the edge of her thong. She moaned, rocking her hips to get better friction. He was teasing, bringing her closer and closer to the edge with nothing but a brush of his fingers. He hadn't even touched her clit, which was pulsating with such need she was sure to turn feral.

What the fuck was wrong with her? Except, every time doubt crept in, Jax brought her back into the moment with his touch and with his voice.

Fuck .

His tongue should be illegal.

She felt slight pressure against her clit, and Thea whimpered, watching how Leigh's face thundered, his eyes pinging between her face and the shadows beneath the table. Him watching Jax bring her to the edge of pleasure was intense – fucking cathartic. She'd never been so turned on with the thought of being watched.

"He wants to be me right now," Jax said, his teeth nipping at the curve of her shoulder. "But you're mine."

Thea nodded like an idiot, unable to drag her eyes away as Leighton stood there and watched her pant like a bitch in heat. A single finger pressed against her entrance, and she was lost to everything but the ache.

She was aware she was still in a busy club, the music loud enough to drown out the noise of her impatient cries. Everyone around them was oblivious to what Jax was doing, lost in their own conversations. Everyone except Leigh, who continued to watch while Jax pleasured her so effortlessly in public.

"Fuck," Jax groaned. "You're tight."

Her nails dug into the back of Jax's hand, needing him to take it further, to reach the orgasm that was building far faster than she'd ever had before. There was no more teasing, the fabric of her underwear cutting into her skin before they snapped under his strength. Jax groaned beneath her, his thick finger moving back in a languorous thrust that had her clenching around him.

"That's it, little thief; show him what a good girl you are."

She was so close, her body tightening as he teased another finger to her centre. He pumped both inside, thumb flicking against her clit before a third finger was spreading, stretching. She tightened around the digits as he forced her closer and closer to the orgasm she needed. She no longer cared about her ex or the club. Not when Jax held her entire attention.

"Please," she begged, teetering on the edge. He was ruthless in his thrusts, his touch a possessive brand against her skin.

"Watch him," Jax growled, fingers pinning her forward. "Let him see how fucking beautiful you are when you come for me ."

His deeply delicious voice was what finally pushed her over the edge, the orgasm rocking through her body like a violent wave. She didn't know how she didn't scream, his hand on her throat, constricting, only allowing the softest exhale of air.

He finally released his grip, only for his lips to crush hers, tongue sweeping in to steal all her moans.

She'd been aware of the sexual tension between them, but she didn't think it would be anything like that.

Bloody hell, she wasn't even sure if she liked him.

"Thank you for the pillow," he said, his breath feathering along her wet lips. "I look forward to proving it wrong."

Thea blinked, her cheeks prickling with heat as she came down from her high. She'd just experienced the strongest orgasm of her life. And it was in public. With Jax.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

She'd thought he was cold and detached. Clearly, Jax was anything but.

Jax raised a single brow at her mini panic, his sapphire eyes edging silver as his hair had brushed forward, as if trained to hide the left side of his face. She wanted to brush it away, to stroke her fingers along his scar. Except she didn't. Couldn't. Not when her feelings were too raw.

Abruptly, she scrambled off, pulling her dress down at the same time so her bare pussy wasn't on show. Because of course her underwear was nowhere to be found, the club was too dark to find the fabric despite them being bright pink.

Not to mention her thighs were embarrassingly sticky, and she was thankful that Jax wore black because she was pretty sure she'd left a mess on his lap. He simply leaned back, head cocked as he watched her like a predator. There was no smugness about him, just an intensity that had her shivering beneath his attention. It was as if the club didn't exist, and at that moment, it was only the two of them.

Jax lifted his arms to rest on the back of the bench, three of his fingers still glistening obscenely beneath the lights. Horrifying fact, female cum glowed beneath UV light.

The skin on her cheeks prickled harder.

"So, yeah. I'm… I'll be right back." Without giving him a chance to respond, she grabbed her phone and crossed the room, unsure whether she should be embarrassed, ashamed, or book him in for a second round.

Surely she could have amazing sex with a man who'd broken into her home, stalked her and not make it weird? That didn't mean she was unwell.

Okay, maybe she was a little unwell.

Trying not to bring any attention to herself in the bathroom, she cleaned herself up before walking back out into the club. Thea stumbled, catching herself against the wall when she was yanked roughly to the side.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Leighton snarled, his grip so tight it would definitely bruise. "Are you some type of slut now?"

Thea, using her free arm, shoved against him. He released his grip, but didn't back off.

"You're my girl," he said, spitting the words at her. "I'm not going to let you fuck around – "

"Let me?" Thea laughed. "I'm single, remember? Which means I can do whatever I want."

Leighton growled, and she backed away until her head knocked against the wall. "Fucking hell Thea, they meant nothing but a quick fuck. You know you're the only girl for me."

"That's a joke, right?" She pushed against him, but his body pressed closer. "Don't touch me." She didn't know how she could have ever been attracted to him; his lips twisted into an ugly sneer as he breathed the stench of cigarettes and beer.

"Look," he barked in her face. "I've been patient, but that's enough of this bullshit. It's been over a year. You need to get over it and come back to me."

He reached for her hand, but she managed to slip beneath his arm.

His expression thundered. "Stop acting like a fucking – "

"I wouldn't finish that sentence." Jax jerked Leighton to the side, holding him off the floor by the front of his shirt. The fabric cut into his neck, stretching under the weight.

"Jax!" Thea reached for his arm, her nails sticking in. "Don't bother, he's not worth it."

Jax turned his head, his expression so calm it was terrifying.

"Please," she added, just as her phone vibrated. Searching her bag, she quickly scanned the message. "Grey's waiting for us."

A nerve twitched in his jaw before he returned his attention to Leighton, who was struggling in his grip. "I'm right behind you."

"Get your fucking hands off me!" Leighton snarled, kicking out. The shirt ripped, and he fell to the floor with a thump .

"Seriously, he isn't worth your time." Thea shook her head. "Grey's outside; meet me there in two minutes or I'll sic Ruhne on you." Ignoring Leighton entirely, she turned and gave him her back.

The breeze swept through her hair when she stepped outside, cool enough to tease goosebumps along her skin. She hadn't seen Leighton since she'd caught him balls deep in another woman. Thea hadn't shouted, or even cursed. She'd simply turned around, dropped her key to his house on the mat, and walked away. Like an adult.

She'd also hired a young witch to scratch a bad luck charm into the back of his car, but that clearly hadn't worked, considering a woman had been hanging off Leighton's arm. Which was bullshit, because it had cost her a pretty penny.

I'm outside. Where are you?

Thea waited for the three dots, Grey taking his sweet time to respond.

Grey:

Down the side. It's quieter.

Frowning, she stepped outside the terrace to peer down the passage between the warehouses. It was dark, the lights from the terrace unable to penetrate that far down.

A silhouette appeared in the distance, waving.

"Hey!" Thea shouted, walking closer. "I thought you were getting us a booth?"

Grey continued to wave, his features obscured by the shadows.

"What are you…" Thea stopped, ice skimming down her spine. "Grey?"

Laughter from the terrace echoed behind her, but Grey remained silent. Slivers of moonlight highlighted the overstuffed bins, black bags falling out the side. A side door to one of the warehouses was to her right, the emergency exit sign glaring as it cast a sickly green colour in the space in-between, emphasising the darkness just out of reach.

The ice turned into daggers, her inner voice telling her to run as fast as she could in heels.

"Grey?" she called out once more, taking a step back. "This isn't funny." Pulling up her phone, she called him.

A dull thrumming echoed, followed by a glow just further down. Without a word, the person moved, and Thea let out a gasp. Grey lay on his back, head turned to the side, with his eyes open, but empty. His phone had been propped on his stomach, his screen facing the sky.

Thea scrambled back, her heels getting caught on a black bag. Catching herself before she twisted her ankle, she stopped, stilling as a cold breath, almost numbing, brushed against her back.

She heard a scratch, like nails on the concrete.

Pressure suffocated her lungs, but before she could succumb to the fear, she slowly reached into her bag, searching for her pocketknife. The feel of the weapon calmed her, even if her pulse beat violently against her skin.

The silhouette stood and watched, remaining in the shadows, only stepping into the light when the first claw sunk deep into her shoulder.
