Breaking news! Gossip has it that billionaire Peter Taslim's scion Royce Taslim is in the finals of the inaugural JOGGCo International Young Comedians Competition—and he has his daddy to thank for it.

According to an inside source, Frisson Cola offered to sponsor Taslim Junior's spot in the competition when the CEO, a friend of Taslim Senior, was prompted to do so by Taslim Senior. How cheeky! Wonder what else Royce has had help from Senior with?

If you're Royce Taslim, apparently, all you have to do is run to Daddy and ask him to get his friends to pump money into the event. This is allegedly the reason why the sponsors for JOGGCo International Young Comedians Competition suddenly decided to let Taslim, who was ousted in the semis, enter the finals. Talk about privilege!

According to the family, which released a statement through their publicist Nina Bell, nobody in the Taslim family induced or otherwise encouraged the co-sponsor of JOGGCo International Young Comedians Competition to increase the pool of finalists therein. Ms. Bell insists that Frisson Cola acted independently of any external influence, but the social media backlash has already begun.

@TentPoleProductions TentPole Productions would like to assure everyone that the competition was judged fairly and at no point in time did the judges receive any monetary compensation or otherwise to let Royce Taslim compete in the finals. In fact, up till the semis, Royce Taslim used a pseudonym to compete and was careful to keep his real identity secret.

The judges, event organizers, and the production house stand by Royce Taslim, who is an outstanding young talent.
