Chapter 6

Losax stood tall and confident in the communication room of his spaceship, preparing to address the fractions of Earth’s remaining governments that had joined his broadcast. The sight of the advanced technology surrounded him was intentional—proof of his people’s capabilities.

As he spoke, his gaze swept over the screens displaying representatives from different countries, their reactions ranging from curiosity to suspicion.

Behind him, the symbol of his people gleamed, a reflection of their commitment to peace and cooperation. He hoped it would convey their intentions clearly to the humans.

“Leaders of Earth,” Losax began, projecting strength and respect through his voice. “Today, I come with a proposal that could change the fate of both our species. Our advanced technology can assist you in finding a habitable planet for your people.”

He paused, giving them time to process his words. He knew this offer could be met with skepticism, but he believed in establishing trust from the start.

“In exchange for our assistance,” he continued, “we seek volunteers for our mating program. This program is designed to benefit both our races—ensuring your survival and solidifying a long-term alliance between us.”

The government representatives exchanged looks as Losax’s words sunk in. One man spoke up with suspicion, lacing his voice. “Why should we trust you? What’s stopping you from exploiting us?”

Losax nodded in understanding. “You have every right to be cautious,” he replied calmly. “But know that we have the power to take what we want without asking. The fact that we are having this conversation shows our willingness to work together for mutual gain.”

Another representative raised an important question. “What guarantees do the volunteers have that they won’t be harmed?”

“Volunteers are needed and it does us no good to hurt them. The volunteers must pass a physical evaluation before being accepted,” Losax answered confidently.

Another representative, a middle-aged woman with sharp features, interjected. “A physical evaluation? Can you elaborate on this? It sounds concerning.”

Losax met her gaze with a reassuring smile. “The evaluation is necessary to ensure the volunteers’ safety and compatibility. Our goal is to protect both your people and ours. “We have four alien female healers overseeing the process and encourage you to send one of your own to collaborate with them. Transparency is crucial for a successful partnership.”

The representatives continued to ask questions and express their concerns, but Losax addressed each one with patience and reassurance. He knew that building trust would be a process, but he was determined to make this alliance work for both their species’ survival.

Losax stood at the head of a long, polished table, his commanding stature exuding confidence and authority. His dark eyes swept across the screens that displayed the faces of government representatives from various countries.

“You have twenty-four hours to decide,” Losax’s voice was firm but encouraging. “Those who choose to collaborate with us will gain access to our advanced technology and support. Those who decline will miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

One representative, a young man with a serious demeanor, spoke up. “What guarantees do we have that our volunteers won’t be harmed? The term ‘physical evaluation’ suggests experimentation.”

Losax shook his head slowly. “The safety and well-being of all parties involved is our top priority. The evaluation is simply a medical assessment to ensure compatibility and health. Qualified physicians, including your own, will oversee the process if you choose to send someone. This is not an experiment; it’s a necessary step for the success of the program.”

His words appeared to ease some of the representatives, while others remained skeptical. Losax understood their concerns and knew he needed to provide more information.

“Several governments have already expressed their agreement based on preliminary discussions,” he continued, casting his gaze over the screens. “We want to ensure everyone is fully informed before making a decision.”

He paused, weighing his words carefully. “If you choose to proceed, we will work closely with you to provide all necessary information and support. Cooperation from all parties is crucial for the success of this program.”

“This is nothing more than an invasion disguised as cooperation!” one representative exclaimed, his voice rising in anger. “You’re trying to exploit our people for your own gain!”

Losax’s jaw clenched as he fought to control his emotions. To insult one’s integrity without proof was grounds for a challenge to the death. He knew he had to take charge before tensions escalated further.

“You have twenty-four hours,” he repeated firmly, leaving no room for negotiation. “This is a choice we are offering, and those who decline will be excluded from the opportunity. The decision is yours.”

With that, he ended the broadcast and left the communications room. As he walked down the corridor, his thoughts turned to the human woman who had captured his attention. He couldn’t ignore the strong connection he felt towards her, and he wondered how their future would unfold amidst these challenging circumstances.

But as a leader, Losax knew he had to put personal feelings aside and focus on navigating through the obstacles ahead. With determination and conviction, he would lead his people towards a better future, no matter what challenges they may face along the way.
