Chapter 11

CHAPTER 11

T wo weeks later…

Jenna stood on the roof of the castle, and let the cool air wash over her as she looked out over the forest. She felt like she was on top of the world, and the only thing that had felt better was flying.

On her second day in the castle, Clara had presented her with a navy blue snowsuit, a matching balaclava and gloves, and a stylish pair of black goggles. She'd felt ridiculous dressed in the outfit, but the other women had assured her that the extra protection was needed, and they hadn't been wrong.

Flying was amazing, but even more amazing was the fact that Eron could shift into a dragon. She'd already seen the partial shift, so she'd thought she understood what to expect, but there was nothing that could have prepared her for the sight of her man in his dragon form.

The beast was nearly twelve feet high, with black scales that shimmered in the light, and his amethyst eyes were even darker than they were in his human form. His teeth and talons were large, but his wingspan was amazing, and she loved the feel of the soft, thick webbing that covered the bones.

She smiled when she thought about the first time he had carried her while soaring through the air.

While he was in beast form, he could turn invisible, and that meant that she would be invisible, too. He'd soared them so high all she saw was blackness and stars surrounding them, and then he'd taken her low, over the tops of houses and buildings, allowing her to see everything from a different view.

He had an amazing gift, and she was beyond grateful that he wanted to share it with her.

And that wasn't the only thing he wanted to share.

His family had almost instantly felt like her own, and he encouraged her to make herself at home and get to know them all. The Queen had even organized a girls night for the women, and Eron had provided all of the snacks and drinks. The amount of work he'd done that day was crazy, but he hadn't minded any of it, and pride filled her when everyone gushed over all of his creations.

She glanced toward Emerald Haven, and couldn't help but smile again.

The town was small, but even so, it had a lot of potential. Especially on the weekends. The amount of tourist traffic that came through was surprising—more so because the places to eat were limited—and a candle shop would definitely do well there. Zane, the Alpha of the bear and wolf clan that lived among the humans, supported the idea, and she already had the building she wanted as her first choice picked out.

There were quite a few vacancies on the street opposite of Holly's shop, and it would be nice to be close to her and Bastian. Especially on days when Eron couldn't be with her.

Which she doubted would be very many. Her man spent a lot of his time in the kitchen, but he sought her out often, and it wasn't just for sex. He actually liked spending time with her, and she liked it, too.

Eron's bedroom was on the first floor of the castle, but his office was on the second floor, and her studio was right next door. She still couldn't believe that he'd given her the space, or that the King was okay with it, but honestly, it shouldn't have been that much of a surprise.

There were plenty of empty rooms in the dwelling, and almost everyone had some kind of private area besides the living space they shared with their mates.

She still needed to get the last few things from her apartment, but they'd already grabbed all of her clothes and candle making stuff, and had gone shopping for more. It was a strange feeling to do what you loved all day—to follow your dreams without any hesitation—but that'sexactly what she was doing, and she loved it.

This was the life she'd always wanted, and there was only one thing missing.

Well, not missing exactly. She and Eron were a couple, and even though they had only been together a short time, she did love him, and she knew he loved her back. Despite leaving him that first night, she'd known it from almost the beginning, and she hadn't been joking when she offered to stay with him forever.

Now she wanted to make it official.

He hadn't mentioned the mating bond again, but she knew that's what he wanted. It was weird, but she could almost feel his beast reaching out to her, and she wanted to solidify that connection more than anything. It would bind her to him for life, but unlike with other men she'd dated in the past, she wasn't afraid.

She heard the sound of a door opening and closing, and when she glanced at the closest turret, she was happy to see Eron striding toward her. There was a turret in every corner of the building, and each one had a passageway that led them all the way down to the parking garage. There was also a storage area in the most used one, which held chairs, blankets, and snacks for those wanting to camp out on the roof.

Apparently, staring up at the stars was a huge thing for the entire clan, and it was rare to find the space empty.

The blazing sun made the gold in Eron's bronze hair sparkle, and, combined with his amethyst eyes and big, muscular body that seemed to be made of granite, he looked like a god walking toward her. He was gorgeous, but he was also funny, kind, and fierce when he needed to be. And he wasn't just that way with her. He teased his family on a daily basis, and out of all the dragons, including Clara and Sabine, he was the least intense. Evander was a close second, but Eron was usually the one to make everyone smile.

Maybe it was because he was always surrounded by food—because the entire clan could eat a lot—but she didn't think so. As Second-in-Command, it was his job to help keep balance, and he was a steady presence in the middle of chaos. Not that things were crazy around here, but when eight dragon shifters and their mates filled a room—especially a room filled with food—there was a lot going on.

And she loved it.

"Hey sweetheart," he said, wrapping his arms around her waist, and leaning down to brush his lips against hers. "What are you doing up here? Do you want to go flying?"

She slid her arms around him, and rested her head on his chest. A moment of panic set in that he might not want her anymore, but she pushed the stupid thought out of her mind, and pulled back to look at him. Eron wasn't like the other men she dated, and he had no problem showing her off to the world. In fact, over the last two weeks he'd often insisted on it, while she'd been content to stay holed up in the castle.

"Not right now," she smiled up at him. "There is something else I want to do though."

"Okay. What is it?"

"I want to know what color my mate mark will be."

He stilled, and then tightened his hands on her hips, but he didn't say a word. Instead, he searched her face, as if trying to figure out if he'd heard her correctly. The only way to get a mate mark was to complete the bond, and she would never tease him with something so serious. She hoped he knew that, because his silence was starting to make her nervous.

"You want to complete the mating bond?" He asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Yes," she nodded. "I'm ready, Eron."

"Are you sure, sweetheart? You know there's no rush. It's enough that you're here, and willing to stay. You can take all the time you need to decide if you want to be with me forever."

God, she loved him. And because of that, she wasn't willing to hurt him. He hadn't admitted it, yet, but she was pretty sure he ached to claim her the same way she ached to be claimed, and that was no way to live when she'd already made up her mind.

"I've already decided, and I'm sure. I can feel your dragon reaching out to me. I feel it deep in my soul, and I know this is where I'm meant to be. That's never going to change, so I don't see a reason to wait. You're mine, Eron, and I want the world to know it."

Not that anyone would ever see her mate mark. The process branded her skin with her mate's fire, and they were placed in areas where clothes covered the skin so that the marks couldn't be tracked. Once the bond was complete, she would be immortal like Eron, and unlike tattoos, the brand was hard to effectively cover from one century to the next.

His eyes darkened and a deep growl rumbled from his chest right before he bent down, wrapped his arms around her thighs, and threw her over his shoulder. She laughed as he started walking toward the turret closest to their room, and when he opened the door, Clara and Marcus barreled through.

"No one bothers us for at least three days." He barked the words at the couple and kept on walking.

"Three days?"

The words came out in a squeak, and she could hear Clara and Marcus laughing as Eron practically ran down the stairs. When he reached the hallway, she heard the Queen's voice.

"Hey, Eron. I was wondering—" Petra started, and then laughed. "Never mind."

Jenna couldn't see her, but she heard the soft footsteps of the woman going in the opposite direction.

A few steps more, and Eron opened the door to their room and slammed it behind him. He stormed through the living space and entered their bedroom without breaking his stride, and then he tossed her on the bed.

"Unless you want me to rip those clothes off your body, I suggest you strip, sweetheart."

Liquid heat dampened her panties, and her pussy started convulsing. Eron had already tore through several pairs of her panties, but she'd never seen him like this, and she liked the idea of him tearing off all of her clothes. She looked down at the cute shirt and wondered if Clara could find her a replacement, but it was too late.

Eron had already removed all of his clothes, and was crawling up the bed between her legs.

He grabbed the hem of her top in both hands, and then yanked the fabric in opposite directions. The garment tore from the hem to the neck in almost a straight line, and before she could think, he reached for her bra next. The tiny bit of satin holding the cups together was torn away, and when her breasts spilled out, the growl that filled the room was needy and impatient.

"Fuck!" He swore. "You are so fucking beautiful."

Instead of touching her, he ripped open the button and zipper on her pants, and then tore the fabric in both directions, ripping the seams going down her legs. The only thing that remained was the lacy panties that matched her bra, and he leaned forward to place a kiss on her mound before fisting the fabric in both hands and tearing it away.

Liquid heat gushed out of her core, and she'd never been so turned on in her life.

Eron threw all the ruined pieces of clothing to the floor, and then he leaned forward and sucked her clit into his mouth.

Jenna arched off the bed and gripped his hair as she shoved her cunt into his face. Eron laughed, but instead of holding her down, he lifted her hips, and swirled his tongue around her wet hole. When he pushed inside, she let go of his hair and started pulling on her nipples.

"That's right, sweetheart," he said, sliding two fingers into her cunt. "Pull on your pretty tits while I finger fuck you."

He moved his fingers in and out of her hole, hard and fast, and the orgasm that washed over her was sudden and unexpected. She screamed his name as her pussy accepted another finger, and more liquid heat gushed out of her hole.

She was soaking wet, but it wasn't enough. She wanted more—everything—and luckily, Eron wasn't holding back.

He crawled up her body and slid his cock inside her in one swift thrust. They'd had sex plenty of times, but this time seemed different—more—and she wrapped her legs around him to pull him even deeper.

"Fuck," he swore, sliding all the way out. "I love the way your pussy tightens around me, sweetheart. You were made for me, and I'm so glad I found you."

He moved in and out of her slowly, and another orgasm built until she was so close she wanted to scream.

"Please," she begged, digging her nails into his back. "I'm so close."

He started pounding into her harder, and when her orgasm hit, he tensed and closed his mouth around the skin just above her right areola. Pain caused her to cry out as his fire seared her skin, but a second later, she was screaming for a different reason.

Eron pounded into her as the orgasm rocked through her. For a moment she had no idea about space or time. All that mattered was his cock moving in and out of her core until he released her skin and let out a roar that echoed around the room and shook everything in its path.

She immediately followed him into the abyss, and that's when she felt his soul wrap around hers. It wasn't a physical thing, but she'd still felt it, and her eyes filled with tears as she seemed to come back to herself.

She was the same person, but felt different somehow—new—and she knew it was because her and Eron were now bonded.

Forever.

"Holy fuck!" He said, brushing his lips against hers, and using his thumbs to wipe away the errant tears that escaped. "That was..."

"Magical," she finished for him, smiling. "I've never felt anything like that before."

"Only with you, sweetheart," he said, kissing her again. "Only with my mate."

She remembered about the mate mark, and pushed on his shoulder.

"I want to see," she said, and he laughed as he rolled off of her.

She felt the absence of his cock immediately, but she knew they would be joined again soon, and she wanted to see her scar.

Once in the bathroom, she smiled as she rubbed her fingers over the dark purple half circle filled with flames. The skin surrounding the mark was tender, but it didn't hurt, and she loved that she would always have a piece of her mate with her.

She walked back into the room, and saw him leaning back against the pillows with one arm behind his head. His cock was still hard, and her pussy immediately started tingling. She walked to the bed, crawled on top of him, and sank down on his hard length.

She would never get enough of him, and suddenly, three days didn't seem like enough time to go without being disturbed.
