Chapter 4

Chapter Four

“Jeepers!”I cried, throwing Mr. Fluffers across the room and stamping my heels in utter frustration. I sat on the soft rug of my bedroom, surrounded by my favorite little items, and still… nothing. My little side was dying to come out and play. But playing alone wasn’t the same as playing with friends, or having a Daddy to care for you.

Tears pricked the corners of my eyes. I didn’t know whether to go into a full tantrum, or pull my hair out, or just curl up in bed and resign myself to not getting what I needed. That’s what it was, in the end. A need. A downright forceful ache in the pit of my stomach, begging me to let go and be little the way I wanted to. I was trying. I truly was.

I dialed Layla’s number as tears filled my eyes. I had sworn I wouldn’t call her because I wouldn’t need to. The plan had been to immerse myself in the local scene here in Providence, and be so happy and busy I wouldn’t need to call my best friend in the little community back in Denver. Nevertheless, here we were.

“I knew you’d call,” she answered on the first ring. Instantly, my racing heart slowed.

“I can’t do it, Layla. I’ve tried,” I sniffled pathetically.

“Can’t do what, sugar?” she all but cooed. She was the sweetest friend I’d ever had. My heart ached, missing her so much.

“I can’t be little.” Whimpering, I reached for a tissue to wipe away my own tears, with no Daddy in sight.

“That’s silly, and you know it. You can be little because you are little. What’s holding you back, sweets?” Her calm attitude helped, but only by the tiniest bit.

“I don’t know…”

“Yes, you do. Out with it.”

“The group is new. I don’t know anyone. Well…”

“Oh, there’s a story there. Don’t lie to me,” she teased.

“Fine. So there is a guy there —”

“Sounds promising. Tell me all about him.”

“That’s the problem. I could tell you so much about him,” I whined pitifully.

“Why is that a problem?”

“Because he’s Alyssa’s dad.”

“Wait… Alyssa, as in your flighty best friend from high school? Oh, girl. You didn’t just find yourself a Daddy, you found yourself a Daddy.” Her peals of laughter rang out so loudly I had to pull the phone from my ear.

“Yes, that Alyssa.”

“And you’re interested in her dad? Like, man, he’s hot, interested? Or straight to little space, can’t think straight, interested?”

“Ugh…” I groaned.

“GIRL! What are you doing sitting in your room when you could be at the club talking to Daddy McHotStuff again?”

“It’s not that simple, Layla.”

“It really is. Now get off the phone, get off the floor, put on a cute outfit, and get your butt out there. You’re never going to get over this feeling if you don’t get under someone… I mean… if you don’t get out there,” she tittered playfully.

“You’re incorrigible, Layla,” I scoffed.

“Big word for such a cute little,” she teased.

Sticking my tongue out at her, knowing she couldn’t see me, I hung up. Layla was right. The best way to get over this feeling was to get out there.

Or maybe getting under a certain Daddy.

Fidgeting with my shirt,I paced the hallway outside of the little room. What was I thinking, wearing this?

A shirt about two sizes too small, and a pair of jeans? My belly showed just slightly under the hem of the tee-shirt. The jeans were comfortable, but the shirt was downright tiny. My breasts almost wouldn’t fit at all, and they definitely made the shirt raise up even further, to the point my belly button was just peeking out.

But it had Care Bears on it.

That’s why I loved it.

I may not be ready to go full little in front of strangers, but this I could do. Clutching Mr. Fluffers to my chest, I waltzed my happy, round ass into the playroom and didn’t look back.

Immediately, my eyes found Adam sitting on the same sofa where we’d been a few nights ago. He was in the middle of a conversation with another man, both of them speaking in hushed tones so as not to disturb anyone’s playtime.

The other man lifted his eyes, catching my attention with a smile. Which immediately pulled Adam’s attention. His face was stern and serious as he turned to look at me — and immediately broke out into a wide grin. Butterflies erupted in my tummy.

Those butterflies moved lower, settling right between my thighs as his eyes moved over my body, taking in my more little-esque appearance. His gaze heated as he waved a hand, beckoning me over.

“You made it back! Erick, this is Bunny. Bunny, this is Sir Erick,” he introduced us, his deep voice making the butterflies flutter faster.

“A pleasure to meet you, Bunny,” Sir Erick said, giving me a slight nod.

“You, too,” I mumbled.

“Oh, come now. Don’t be shy. Sir Erick is a good guy. He is one of the owners of this fine club,” Adam explained, gesturing to the room.

“Really?” I asked, my interest piqued.

“He’s being too kind, but yes. I am one of the co-owners of this club. But don’t let Adam here downplay his own success. He’s one of us, too,” Erick chuckled, nudging Adam in the shoulder.

“Really?” My eyes popped open wide. I knew Adam ran a business; that’s how he was as wealthy as he was. But I had no idea he also co-owned this place.

“Yes, really,” he chuckled.

“So that’s how you could afford that house,” I muttered under my breath.

“What was that?” He leaned forward to better hear me.

“Oh, nothing,” I quickly muttered.

That was close!

It wouldn’t do me any good to announce that I knew him quite well, even if he didn’t realize it.

“Erick and I have to run off to attend to some business, but maybe I’ll see you later?” Adam asked, touching my shoulder. I tried to ignore the nerves that resurfaced as soon as they left.

Snuggling into the couch, I took a moment to watch everyone else, not quite ready to join in, but excited to take that plunge tonight.

“Alright, folks. As much fun as everyone is having, it’s time to clear out the room,” a Dungeon Monitor called from the corner of the room. Excited chatter erupted throughout the whole room, leaving me sitting there, confused. It was still early, and I had no idea what was going on. Or why almost no one was leaving the room.

“What’s going on?” I whispered to a little playing on the floor near me. She tugged the pant leg of her Mommy.

“Did you need something?” the woman asked kindly.

“What’s going on?” I asked quietly, but still loud enough for her to hear.

“There is an event in here tonight! A Littles Movie Night! You’re so excited, aren’t you babygirl?” she asked her little, who still sat on the floor, her thumb now in her mouth.

“Are you staying?” the little girl asked me.

“I, um… I didn’t know about it. So I didn’t sign up.” Immediately, the girl pouted.

My thoughts exactly.

Resisting the urge to pout myself, I rose from the sofa and walked out of the playroom. I had just been getting up the nerve to get involved. Lesson learned. I would come back in a few days and try again.

Standing in the hallway, I debated going to my car and heading for home. Or I could stay and wander around a bit, familiarizing myself with the club a little more. There was more to see here than just the Littles Room, after all.
