Twenty-One

Steve

Later that night after we’d eaten way too much pizza while cooking together, we sat on Garrett’s couch watching another Christmas movie. Teddy was lying between us and if I didn’t know better, I would have sworn he was watching it too.

“Are you sure you want to go tomorrow? I’m sure my mom is going to drive you nuts,” I said and hoped he wanted to almost as bad as I hoped he changed his mind.

“Of course, I’m sure. What games will we play?”

“We play a little of everything. Most of them are older games but we have some newer ones too.”

“Do you play Boggle?” he asked.

“Oh yeah, my dad can get a little competitive with it. We try to avoid it but if you want to we can.”

“Competitive you say?” He rubbed his hands together like an evil scientist and laughed his best evil laugh. “I say challenge accepted.”

“Oh god,” I mumbled.

“Yep, you’ve invited someone who does not like to lose at any game. I hope your family is ready because I grew up playing board games with my relatives and no one ever let you win, so I learned at a very young age to be cutthroat and not back down. Even for Gammy,” Garrett said with a totally straight face.

My eyes widened in shock. My sweet Garrett apparently wasn’t as sweet as I’d thought. “Not even for Gammy?”

“I don’t know how your grandparents are but mine didn’t go easy on us at any game. My grandpa gave videogames a try but when he couldn’t figure out how to beat me on Mario Kart, he threw the controller and swore he’d never play a videogame again.” He laughed at the memory and patted Teddy. “I was hoping you could meet them on Christmas Eve. We usually have a casual night with just an easy dinner. It’s only for a few hours, nothing major. What do you say?” he asked.

“Are you sure? I don’t want to intrude.” That wasn’t the whole reason I was leery about going. While I loved the idea of any time I could get with Garrett, I didn’t want to be dropped into someone else’s Christmas chaos as an outsider with no clue who anyone was or what their traditions were.

“It’s a big party they have for all their friends and neighbors. But don’t worry, it’s a drop in so not everyone is there at the same time. Some just stop by for a few minutes, others hang out the whole time. It’s in the garage so you’re not trapped in their house with a million strangers,” he said, and I knew he understood once again how much I didn’t like being around too many people in one spot. Being at a store was different. I didn’t know any of them and could easily avoid them. Being at his parents’ house was something else entirely.

“Can I think about it?” I asked and could feel myself starting to sweat at the thought of it.

“Of course. I wanted to give you time, and if you don’t want to, I totally understand.” He squeezed my leg, and I laid my hand over the top of his. Sitting here with him was so cozy and warm in ways I’d never experienced with anyone before. Garrett didn’t do anything with the pretext of being owed anything. Everything he did was because he wanted to, and it made him happy.

“Have you finished all your shopping?” I asked, even though I’d asked him a few times because everyone asked that question this time of year.

“I just need to get some gift cards and find my white elephant gift. It’s getting harder to find one that they haven’t used yet and isn’t stupid.” I took out my phone and started searching, Garrett watching as I scrolled. There were so many weird things, and I understood what he meant. Some of them were funny while others were just strange. “What’s that?” he asked when he noticed something.

“An electronic yodeling pickle,” I said, and tried for a completely serious tone. His brows went up and he laughed.

“Oh my god, send me the link. What else have you got? I need two more.”

“How about this?” I pointed out a pen that had ten different tools attached. “It has everything you’d ever need to use on a pen,” I said.

“Send me the link,” he said. “My dad will want it just because it’s a gadget. It’ll be a good one to make them want to steal.”

“This?” I asked. He glanced at it before once again laughing.

“Perfect! Send me the link.” It was a pair of socks that you could have your face printed all over in a pattern. “Thanks, I’m officially done shopping.” He leaned over and kissed me, making me melt into his side.

“Always happy to help,” I whispered.

“I can think of a few more things you can help with,” he murmured and kissed down my neck. I was vaguely aware of Teddy jumping down as Garrett straddled me and held my face in his hands before once again kissing me. His tongue swirled with mine and my dick, that I was trying to control, was now on full alert and I wanted Garrett once again.

“I think I can help you with this,” I said and squeezed his dick through the joggers he’d changed into when we got here. He was hard and straining as he leaned back enough to meet my eyes before kissing me again. I lifted him by his ass enough to roll him onto the couch and pull his pants down enough to free him. I burrowed my face in his groin and inhaled his clean scent before licking the length of him, causing him to hiss.

My tongue followed the ridge of his head, and I looked up to find his eyes on me as I swallowed him down. His eyes rolled back, and his hands clenched the couch as he tried not to shove his dick down my throat. Not that I minded. I managed to pull my own pants down enough to give myself a hand job while sucking him until I knew he was so close it wouldn’t take more than a flick of my tongue on his sensitive head. My own body screamed for release, but I wasn’t ready for that until I knew he was more than satisfied.

Shoving my mouth down on him as deep as I could, I slowly pulled off and flicked his most sensitive spot. He froze for half a second before releasing down my throat. I rose up on my knees and after a few strokes finished on his chest.

His eyes slowly opened and met mine. He looked deliciously debauched as he pulled me down to him by the front of my shirt and kissed me. “You’re amazing,” he said, and neither of us moved until our breathing slowed. His brow furrowed and both of us turned to find Teddy sitting there staring at us. His eyes shot to mine and I collapsed on him again, laughing. I loved this, laughing about stupid shit I was even starting to love his dog, but I refused to think about who else I could love.
