Epilogue
Jasmine
Two weeks later we got married at his parent's house. Mrs Geller came for the occasion. It had been lovely to catch up with her. Christian seems to have avoided her. By the time I calculated how long it had been since my last period, I realised it didn't matter it was too long. Carina is keeping Bella for a week. I didn't want to go anywhere for a honeymoon. Not without Bella. So we stayed at home and we loved it.
Christian is excited and nervous. He is excited to be a daddy but nervous about how Bella will feel.
I'm not worried for a change knowing Connor is about to be a brother will help Bella cope.
I hope Reese is happy wherever he may be.
Christian
“Did you have a good birthday, Bella?” I ask my green-eyed princess. Out of all my daughters she still holds my heart. I love my other two but with Bella I take extra care. It’s what I owe her father.
“Yes, Daddy. I can't believe I'm eight years old.”
“I know. You're so old.”
“Daddy! I'm not that old. Connor is older than me.”
“True. Baby, I had wanted to ask you something. I have for a while but I wanted to wait till you were old enough to understand.”
She glances at my face.
“What's wrong, Daddy?”
“Nothing. I just feel a little nervous.” I run a hand through my hair.
“Baby, I married your mum four years ago. I had wanted to adopt you then. But you were too little. You can still keep Daddy Reese’s name if you want to. Or if you want to be Bella Calder-Hayes if you want? Or if you don't want me to adopt you that's okay too.”
Shit, why didn't I take up Jasmine's offer to be here with me? Now I sound like a rambling idiot.
Bella jumps on my lap and wraps her arms around me.
I feel her tears on my neck.
I hold her close to me. I feel the tears escape my eyes.
“Please, don't cry my beautiful Bella. No matter what you will always be my daughter.”
She nods against my neck.
I see a shadow appear in the doorway. I look up to see Jasmine standing there with a small smile on her face.
“You have been the best Daddy. I love you. Yes, I want to be Bella Calder-Hayes.” she pauses. “It would be weird not having Calder anymore.”
“I would love that baby. It's just a piece of paper it doesn't change anything between us.”
“I know, Daddy.”
The duh is implied in her sassy ass reply.
Jasmine blows me a kiss and walks away. Her ass was swaying in her turquoise dress. Like mother like daughters. Sassy.
I smile.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
The End.
