Moon

I 've taken a single step off the altar when all hell breaks loose.

One second, there's joy in the air, and the next, there's a portal opening up in the middle of the aisle. Love stumbles out with a limp body hanging off her. She's got one of his arms over her shoulder, and when she looks up, blood is dripping from a wound on her forehead.

“Sky! He's…he's …” she starts, but she can’t finish.

“He's been possessed,” the man that I thought was unconscious says with a deep groan.

“What?!” I shout, running over to help Love, but my men pull me back. Kili and Crow assist her instead, helping the man to a seat. He looks like he’s been through hell. I can’t tell if he’s a Witch, just by looking at him, but he’s radiating power, so whatever he is, he’s strong. Did Sky do this to him? Who the fuck possessed him?

Love kneels in front of him, checking the man for injuries frantically, clearly worried about this new man.

“I don't know. He was fine…I don't know what happened.” Love has tears in her eyes, and heartbreak in her voice. She shakes her head, sniffling.

“The Fae Queen…” the man says, voice rough. “It must be her.”

“Norma?” Fen asks, and I glance over my shoulder at him, his eyes wide.

“Okay, so, Norma…she did something to Sky?” I ask, and Love nods, looking over at me.

“She must have. I think he wanted to confront her alone. She stole so many years of his life, and he wanted closure. The guards who were outside her cell were killed. She’s gone, and Sky…I think he followed her, I just don’t know how she did it.” Love cries, and I have to pause for a moment, processing her words. That's…fucking intense.

“And who are you?” I ask, turning to the guy breathing heavily in the chair. We’ve gathered an audience, and everyone who’d been attending my ceremony is now watching the drama unfold.

“A friend. You can call me Violence.” Obviously not his real name. Fair. Given, he doesn't know any of us, and half of us are Fae or Elves.

“I didn't know where else to take him… my first thought was you. I need your help, Moon. I can't save Sky on my own…”

“Well fuck…alright, what do you need me to do?”
