Epilogue

They had been back in Wilde a month now. Settling in at the log cabin had gone well and Naqi was overseeing all the changes Joey wanted to make on the house and one extra change. He was making the bedroom closest to theirs into a nursery. Janey was still there, Joey understood her need to stay out of sight and Naqi didn't mind her so much now that he had grown accustomed to having her around. Joey liked to say her cousin was an acquired taste. Once the apartment upstairs was done, Janey would move in there for the rest of her stay.

The wedding would take place in a few days and guests were beginning to arrive. There was only one hotel nearby, and it would be full for the first time ever. The cabin was full already with Joey's closest family.

He would tie her to him so she would never leave. It made him smile as he remembered all the hot loving that had passed between them since her heat came on. Naqi was ready for more now, his cock hard enough to drive in nails, but he'd rather drive into her. It was a shame that there were so many wedding guests staying with them, it curtailed their romantic activities which made him tend to get irritable.

Joey, on the other hand, was glowing with happiness, glad to have her friends and family here for her big day. Sisters, cousins, and close friends hovered around her giving advice and compliments, a blind man could see how gorgeous she was. Chief hadn't bothered them since they had returned here and as long as they stayed here, Naqi didn't think he would. He was pretty sure that Chief would turn his attention to some other poor white wolf which was bad because that would upset Joey since they were all her family.

Naqi would hope that the team sent after Chief would keep him too busy running to mess with anyone, but that was just wishful thinking. It was hard to counter that much ill will even with a team and unlimited resources. A bulletin had come out asking for personnel and any information that packs might have about Chief. He thought he might send one of his single brothers to help, after the wedding of course. Even he felt that he should because he really wanted Chief caught even more than most did.

Joey had invited Trev to the wedding which annoyed Naqi, but he would get over it since Trev seemed to have developed an obsession for Janey. Naqi couldn't flirt with Janey like Trev had flirted with Joey, but Naqi could certainly throw some single brothers and cousins at her. He smiled, revenge could be a lot of fun. Trev would see how turnabout was, he wouldn't like it that was for sure.

The situation with Chief might never be fully resolved, but they were safe enough for now. Their pup would be here in about four and a half months, they would be ready for him. His family, other than his mom, which was mostly his siblings, had accepted Joey, His mom seemed to come around more every day and once the pup was here, well grandma would melt. She had seemed to like Joey until she found out they were mating. He thought it had something to do with his father who had left her to go into the outside world after he had stayed with her for so long. His mom had never recovered from him leaving and Naqi thought she never would. He had left in the night taking only the youngest son with him. Naqi's youngest brother would fit into the outside world better than the rest since he had looked just like his father. He tried to take his mind from such a sad subject, it made him angry to think of it.

Joey came into the house heading straight for him. She jumped straight into his lap as he sat in the overstuffed chair. "I love you," she whispered in his ear.

He held her tightly against him. "I love you, too." Everything was going to be just fine.
