Vicious
Today was a test of my restraint. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed every goddamn second spent with her, the woman who ruled me, even if she didn't know it yet. The test came in the form of sexual tension and awareness between us. The conversation in the car had flipped the switch. After that, everything she did, no matter how ordinary, had a sultry or sexual energy to it. Honestly, it was a miracle I hadn't fucked her senseless. The urge to do it was overwhelming. I was sinking and about to drown.
It was afternoon, and I counted the minutes until Ashes and Dragon got home. We needed to talk. The vibe she was giving off felt sexual, as if she wanted sex. I needed them to tell me what they saw or sensed. My cock had been at half-mast or more all day.
We made the grocery run, then came back and got it all put away. I sat with her at one point and made her search for studio locations. I kept her away from apartment hunting. She was staying here with us, which made me realize we needed to get started on a house. One with a huge master bedroom and a bed big enough to let us all sleep comfortably. We'd have to flip the switch on it as soon as we got the official vote, making her ours in the club's eyes. If we didn't win the vote, wherever we went would end in us finding or building one.
We were trying to watch a movie, but I had no idea what it was about. I kept daydreaming about Micaela. As I got up to go to the kitchen to get more to drink and bring her back a refill, there was a hard knock at the door. She sat up straight and stared at it, as if waiting for it to come crashing open. I went to see who it was. Maybe it was Sin or one of the other officers coming to tell us they talked to Daredevil. I impatiently watched my phone all day, waiting for a text to say we were having church. It was killing me to wait. What was the fucking holdup?
Flipping the lock, I opened the door just as another knock came. When it swung open, I saw Daredevil's surprise change to something else I couldn't figure out. He was scowling, which wasn't a good sign. I leaned against the doorframe, casually blocking his ability to enter.
"Yeah? Can I help you?" I asked him lazily.
"Yeah, you can let me in. I need to talk to my sister. I know she's here. We need to clear the air about some things."
"Clear the air? What things?" I shot back.
"Things between us. This isn't your business, Vicious."
"Hell, it's not. She's my woman. That means anything anyone has to say to her, especially if it'll hurt her, is my business. You've twice been ugly to her. There's not gonna be a third time, Daredevil."
"Oh, you think because there's you and two more, you can intimidate me and keep me from my sister, but you won't. Micaela, sé que estás aquí. Salir, " he hollered.
I don't know if he did it, believing I didn't know Spanish or what, but I knew Spanish and a few other languages well enough to know what he said. I knew he said, Micaela, I know you're here. Come out.
"No está pasando. Vete, temerario, Not happening. Go away, Daredevil," I fired back.
His brows hiked up. He was opening his mouth to probably throw out a threat or demand for her to appear, but he was cut off by Micaela pressing against my side. She was able to see him but was still safe beside me. She had one hand on my back and the other touching my chest. I swear, I felt the heat of her palm branding her into me. Her brother's mouth tightened, and his brow crinkled more when he saw how she was touching me.
"You have something to say, say it. I'm right here and can hear you," she told him.
"I want to speak to you alone."
She and I both shook our heads. I let her answer his request.
"I'm afraid that's not possible."
"Why the hell not? Do they have you so under their thumb that you can't do or say anything without their approval?"
This remark pissed me off. "She's not prevented from saying shit! She's free to say whatever she wants to whomever she wants. The reason she won't talk to you alone shouldn't be a surprise to you. You lost that privilege when you went off on her not once but twice. Say what you came to say, or leave," I demanded.
"You're not my goddamn boss, Vicious. I'll say it since you want to be a little girl. I spoke to the club officers. I made my objections to this whole mess you're in clear. They know why I won't support this. You need to come back home. This is over. Sin is calling for church this evening, and the whole club will be told. They won't go for this. Come back to my house before you embarrass yourself even more," he demanded of her.
I'd heard enough. Outrage flowed through me. I shifted and then took a step toward Daredevil. I was gonna knock his fucking head off. The only thing that saved him was Micaela. She grabbed the back of my belt and held on as she pleaded with me.
"No, don't. He wants that so he can use it against us. If he needs punching, I'll do it. As for you, brother, go to hell. I'm not going anywhere with you, and I think you'll be shocked at what the club has to say about us. I've made my choice. It's them. You can accept it or not. I hoped it wouldn't be uncomfortable, but I see you're determined. I love you, Rome, but at the moment, I don't like you one fucking bit. Grow up. Let's go back to what we were doing, Vicious. Daredevil is leaving."
She turned her back on him and tugged on me to follow. The expression of hurt mixed with anger on his face made me do the same. I slammed and then locked the door on him. Following her to the couch, we sat down. I brought her close. I kissed her cheeks, her nose, then her mouth. When I was done, I tried to comfort her.
"Angel Lips, he's grasping. There's nothing he can do. You're ours."
"I still worry about what he might tell the others to sway them to his side. If Sin is calling church, you need to make sure to go in with allies. Have you talked to the other members about us?"
"No, I haven't, other than that one conversation with Bullet and Phalanx that I told you about. If it makes you feel better, I'll see who I can catch and talk to. Let me call Dragon and Ashes and get them on this. They can talk to Torpedo and Rampage. I'll see if I can get Phalanx and Bullet. If there's time, we'll talk to more. I have no idea what time Sin will schedule it."
I barely finished telling her that when my phone beeped to alert me to an incoming message. I knew by the alert sound it was from Sin. I made sure to give him a different one than the other members. I dug it out of my pocket and then read it.
Sin: Church tonight at eight. Mandatory. Don't be late.
That was Sin, straight to the point, without any flowery words. I usually admired his way, but not this time. Not when I wanted, no, when I needed to know what he and the others heard from Daredevil and what their responses would be.
"Do it. I've got something I can work on, so don't worry about me. If you need me to talk to anyone, let me know."
"Baby, thank you, but I think we should be able to handle this alone. You do whatever you need. I'm gonna use the bedroom I stayed in last night. Okay?"
"Yes, whatever. Go."
I didn't waste time going. Time was ticking down. First, a quick chat with the guys, then onto the others.
