Chapter 1
ISABEL
A girl could get used to this…
My teeth pressed into my bottom lip as I watched Tucker getting ready from my spot on the bed, his firm, naked ass and delicious, rippling back muscles there for my viewing pleasure as he brushed his teeth. Neither of us were dressed. We’d barely slept.
Last night had been amazing.
Heart breaking.
Life changing.
Healing.
Prom night had redefined us and made us whole again. For the first time in months, I could feel my heart beating strong in my chest without the throb of despair lurking in the background. Today, my skin was buzzing, my body feeling like it was about to burst with happiness.
I glanced down at the large diamond ring on my finger, tilting it in different directions to watch it sparkle under the light. And just like it had ever since Tucker had placed it on my hand just hours ago, my heart gave several rapid thuds of joy .
Pulling my legs up to tuck them against my chest, I wrapped my arms around the sheet that covered my bare form and rested my chin on my knees, letting my eyes linger on my fiancé again.
Holy shit, I’m really engaged.
Tucker is my fiancé!
I still had a hard time wrapping my head around it, even though I couldn’t withdraw the smile still splitting my face.
That man was mine .
Tucker looked back at me in the bathroom mirror, that cocky, playful smirk of his showing even in his eyes. He spit out his toothpaste. “You keep looking at me like that, princess, and we’re not making it out of this house before lunch.”
My teeth pressed into my bottom lip again, and I winked. “Promise?”
He was across the room in a second, leaping over me, and I squealed as he pulled me back down to the bed, my lips eagerly meeting his as he slid his hand up my chest to grip my neck. His form hovered over mine, and as our kiss deepened, he lowered the sheet from my body, his fingers dipping between my legs to rub circles over my clit.
Even with all of the times he’d touched me since last night, I was instantly wet, craving him, and I moaned as my hand reached for him, stroking with a few firm pumps along his hard cock.
“Were you just teasing, or do you plan to deliver?” I purred into his ear, and a growl rumbled out from low in Tucker’s chest .
“Demanding little vixen.” He pressed a kiss to my lips before reaching out blindly to the nightstand for what was left of our sleeve of condoms. I took it from him and placed his fingers back between my legs before tearing the protection free and rolling it on.
We didn’t even need foreplay at this point. My body was ready to go just looking at him, and as soon as the condom was on, Tucker grabbed one of my legs, hooking it over the crook of his arm, and thrust his hips forward.
I moaned, loving the feel of him, and soon the room was filled with nothing but our sounds. Both of us thrusting, grunting, moaning, driving every sound we could from one another. It was hot. Fierce. Desperate. Like some part of us still couldn’t believe we were back to this place, and we had to grasp it and claim it before it could slip away again.
My body shuddered when my first release hit, and I tapped the back of Tucker’s shoulder to get him to pause as my leg shook violently over his arm, the sensations so intense. I found him smirking down at me when I finally opened my eyes, and he lifted my other leg, bringing them together over my chest as he gripped my ankles.
His hips were already thrusting again, and those whiskey eyes stared down into mine, desire, love, and intensity swirling in their depths. I was sure they matched mine. Everything I felt in that moment was consuming. I tightened my core, following the rhythm of his thrusts, and watched the shift in Tucker’s expression. Knowing he loved when I did it and hated it at the same time. It edged him closer to his orgasm while all he wanted was to drag as many as he could from me .
Meeting him halfway, I reached between my legs to rub at my clit, already feeling another orgasm building.
“That’s it, princess. Touch yourself. I want to watch you shudder under me over and over again.”
I crested at his words, my release hitting me like a wave, and before it was even through, Tucker was pressing my knees into the mattress near my shoulders as he leaned down to claim my lips in a kiss.
“Oh, fuck.” I groaned against Tucker’s mouth at the new position, my hand coming up to run through and grip my hair. “Like that. Yes. Just like that.” I begged, my head pressing back into the pillow, and Tucker’s lips moved to my neck, kissing and licking and sucking, brushing over every inch of my skin they could reach. His cock hit every perfect place inside my body. My attempt at making him come was gone, I was so lost in the sensations.
“I’ve missed this. You. Us ,” Tucker said with so much emotion against my lips, and God, did those words hit home, feeling it in every part of my chest so strongly that a tear slipped from my eye. Tucker’s head ducked against mine, his pumps now driving harder than the rest as he grew close. My back arched as I was sent into another orgasm just before he groaned, and I felt every pulse of his cock before he finally collapsed at my side.
TUCKER
“I can’t move. My legs are like mush. I’m just a puddle of sated goo here on the bed now. Leave me. ”
I smirked down at my girl before grabbing her ankles and pulling her over to the edge of the bed. “That just means I’ve done my job fucking right.”
She looked at me, and her head fell back with an eye roll and a grin. “So dang cocky.”
“You know it.” I grabbed under her arms and pulled her up to sit, and Izzy groaned.
“You’re gonna make me get up, huh?” She rested her head against my bare hip.
“I don’t know about you, princess, but I’m starving. As many times as we’ve gone at it the past five hours–that time over the pool table not excluded–I need to refuel if we’re gonna go any more rounds.”
Izzy sucked in a long breath and then lifted her head, holding her hands out to me to help her up. “You’re right,” she said as I pulled her to her feet. “But not just about more sex. Things are starting to get sore. And I am pretty hungry. Do we want to call something in or go out?!” She called the last bit over her shoulder as she padded to the bathroom.
“Let’s go out!” I called back as the shower turned on. I forced myself to resist joining her, knowing we’d never make it out of this room again if I did.
We ended up down a section of the boardwalk about a half hour later and grabbed a table outside one of the oceanfront restaurants. Quickly placing our orders, we were enjoying the fresh ocean breeze and talking over our meal as the wind picked up.
Izzy had just laid down her fork and sat back, her hand going to her stomach like she was stuffed, when one gust of wind blew my napkin off the table and sent her hair whipping across her face. We exchanged looks as Izzy’s expression dropped in disappointment.
She glanced up at the sky, and my gaze followed hers to the darkening clouds. “We would be getting gross weather when I managed to rent the beach house.”
“Yeah…but it’s still okay. The house is amazing whether we get to spend time on the beach today or not.” I reached over to squeeze her hand. “Did you still want to invite our families?”
She perked up. “Yes. I really do. They need a chance to appreciate it, too. We could all stay there tonight, and since tomorrow’s senior ditch day, we can stay there a while longer with Annie and Jet before turning in the keys.” I nodded, bringing another bit of food to my mouth when she added, “Plus, I think the beach house would be a perfect place to tell everyone our news.”
“You want to tell everyone today ?” My brow went up.
“I thought?” Her face fell, doubt crossing her features. “I mean, if you don’t want to…” She pulled her hand into her lap.
“No. No, it’s fine. I just hadn’t thought that far yet. I’d figured we’d tell Annie and Jet…”
“Definitely. I want to call them first, but with our families I just don’t want to have to hide our engagement. I’m so happy, and they’ll see the ring soon anyway because I’m not taking it off.”
I couldn’t help but grin. “Good. Because I don’t want you to.” A couple of sprinkles hit my face, and I quickly shoveled the last few bites of my food down before tucking some money under the stand on our table. “Ready to go before we get wet? ”
Izzy nodded, pushing back her chair, and then threaded her arm through mine. “Speaking of our families today…” she hedged, her tone flipping the subject. “There’s something I’ve been trying to figure out how to bring up with you.”
My brow furrowed as we hurried down the walkway that led from the restaurant, more and more sprinkles starting to fall. “Why am I nervous now?”
She made a face, hesitating for a second. “Because it’s about Micah…”
A crack of thunder sounded above us with his name, and like a dam had been opened, the rain was unleashed.
