Epilogue Two
TEN YEARS LATER
SONIA
“Daddy,” our five-year-old daughter squealed, chasing my husband around in the yard.
I sat watching my husband as he played with our four children. I’d never seen him as alive as when he was with our kids. I didn’t realize I could love Tristen more today than I did on our wedding day, but I was wrong. When he held our first daughter in his arms and cried, I knew I’d married the perfect man.
Ten years. I’d been married to Tristen Watt for ten years. I always thought marriage would have its ups and downs, but it had been nothing but ups.
I watched Tristen walk toward me, holding our three-year-old twins in each arm while our nine-year-old and five-year-old trailed behind. I smiled at my beautiful man and stunning children.
Tristen lowered the twins carefully to the ground.
“Go wash up. Dinner is almost ready,” I said as they ran off.
Tristen picked me up and twirled me around. “I love you.”
“What was that for?”
“For giving me the best life a man could have. I love you, Princess.”
“I love you too.”
