Epilogue One

9 MONTHS LATER

JOEY

"Is it normal for a baby to pop out that quickly?" Jack asked the doctor. He still hadn't held our little girl because Lip was too busy hogging her.

"Yes. Some mothers are fortunate like Josephine," the doctor said, smiling at me. She turned to Jack and Lip. "So who's the daddy?"

"We are," my men said in unison.

I glanced at the doctor, whose cheeks were now bright red. Panic rose in me. I knew the world wouldn’t look at us like everyone else, and that was fine. People didn't need to accept our lifestyle; they just had to respect that it was our choice and we were happy.

"Well, the more love, the better," the doctor said after a moment, clearly getting over her shock and beaming at us. "She's a very lucky girl."

"That she is," I said, kissing the top of her head and inhaling her sweet baby scent as Lip handed her back to me.

"You gonna let me hold her?" Jack asked as he walked over and gently took her from my arms. "Hello, baby girl. I'm your daddy. We've waited a long time to meet you, sweetheart." He lifted her tiny fist, bringing it to his lips and placing a small kiss there. "Look at these!" He waved the tiny fist in the air. "You’re a fighter like your daddy."

Lip sat beside me, kissing the top of my head. "You did good, sweetheart. Our little girl is perfect like her mommy."

"Isn't she? I'm so happy, Lip."

"I am too, sweetheart, and it looks like Jack is too."

We stared at Jack as he swayed with our daughter, a broad smile on his face as he talked to her.

"I want to name her Lori after your mom," I said.

"You do?” the guys asked in unison.

"Yes. None of us would be here right now if it weren't for her. She's a good woman, and I can't think of anything better than naming our little one after her grandma."

"I think Lori is a perfect name for the world's most perfect little girl," Jack said.

Lip walked over to Jack, sticking his arms out. "You gonna let me get a turn or what?"

"Be gentle. Support her head," Jack instructed, gently placing Lori in Lip's arms.

Lip cradled our daughter, leaning in and kissing Jack quickly. "Thanks for the lesson, bozo, but I've held her before."

"I love you," Jack said to all three of us. "I love you and the perfect family we've started together."

My eyes welled up with tears as I looked at my men and our daughter. My life was full of love. It was perfect.
