Jakson: HEY POPS! How’s my favorite Romanoff? I’ve stolen Jasper’s phone. He’s killing me, Pops. The man is a maniac. No one should enjoy sit ups as much as he does, I swear! Also, I am sorry if you are busy, but Jasper’s being sooo annoying because he’s secretly worried you’re going to miss his surfing comp so could you pleeaaseee get here as soon as you can! That’s all! Lia: Hi Poppy, it’s Lia. Jakson gave me Jasper’s phone to stop him from calling you every ten minutes. I just wanted to check in on you and see how you are? I hope you know I am here for you if you need anything, lovely! The guys’ competition starts soon and they’re both getting a little worried about you. Just let me know if you’re okay, I am sure it will put them at ease hearing from you. Stay safe and I’ll see you, hopefully, soon!

Jasper: I’m going to murder the two of them, Wellsy, I swear. I finally got my phone back though and am currently hiding behind our showers so they don’t castrate me for calling you again. I got my number though! And I’m one of the last ones to compete. I think you’re busy right now, and that’s okay, but at least now you’ll be able to make my comp since I’m last to compete and all. Please just message me or call me back or anything, I just want to know that you’re okay. I l—I’ll see you soon.

Jasper: Hey Wellsy, I miss you and I hope you’re okay. Lachlan just competed and beat the Hasting’s surfer by 17 points! We’re on a roll. Xander’s up next, I’ll let you know how it goes. Hopefully, I’ll be able to watch it with you in person soon.

Jasper: Hey Wellsy, it’s me. Jakson just tripped over the blanket and fell face first into the moat of Lia’s sandcastle. I can’t stop laughing, you should’ve seen it! Anyways, he’s okay. Lia had to guide him to the showers as he refused to open his eyes and get sand in them. Honestly, those two…yeah. I hope you’re okay. Let me know when you get to the car park and I’ll come and meet you.

Jasper: Hey Wellsyyy, Xander and Kai have both competed now. We’re currently ranked second which is so fucking good to hear. I think we can actually win this thing, ya know? Anyway, Jakson’s up next. He told me to tell you that you ‘better get your ass down here quickly or face the wrath of the dark side’ so if I was you, I’d get here quickly. Totally not because I want to see you…okay, stay safe and I’ll see you soon!

Please come soon, I don’t know how much longer I can cope without you. I’m competing in 5 minutes, so just call Jakson when you get here, and he’ll come and get you. I know you have things going on, Poppy, and I know firsthand how troubling family issues can be, but just know for the future, if you ever promise Jasper something again, please go through with it. This might be some small joke to you, but Jasper is like my big brother, and you have really let him down today. Regardless, I hope you are okay, and for Jasper’s sake, I hope that whatever the reason for you missing his competition was worth it.
