Little Viper
Can you give me a call when you get a chance? Nothing bad, just have a favor to ask.
I'm getting ready to board the plane for the game tonight but I can call right now. I'm not against holding up an entire plane for you ;)
Little Viper
Everything's fine Kas. Your sister just had a really shit day and I was hoping we could surprise her? Any chance your coach would be cool with giving us a ride to your hotel and then letting us fly back with you guys tomorrow?
Little Viper
I've got the flight there covered. A friend owes me a favor.
Of course, I'll talk to him real quick.
I get up from my seat just as the attendants are closing the doors. "Sir, you need to take a seat," one of them tells me.
I smile at her. "I just need to speak with my coach real quick, I promise." She nods and heads in the opposite direction as me.
Once I've sidled up next to Coach Allister, I give him my biggest smile, and he looks over at me, groaning and shaking his head. "What do you want, Narvaez?" He's already rolling his eyes, prepared to say no to whatever ridiculous bullshit is about to come out of my mouth.
"My sister had a shit day at work, and her best friend—" He interrupts me before I can finish.
"The one who's got you actin' senseless?" he asks, and I nod, still smiling because he isn't wrong. "Continue," he drawls.
"She wants to surprise her by bringing her to our game tonight. Any chance we could give her a ride back tomorrow?" He looks at me head-on, processing my words and considering. Just as I figure he's about to say no, he gives me one stern nod.
"Fine, but don't ask me for shit like this again. Now get out of my face so we can get this giant tin can in the air," he grunts.
"You got it. Thanks, Coach!" I tell him and haul ass back to my seat before he can change his mind. Grabbing my phone, I shoot Aiyana a text, letting her know I've got the plane and hotel covered.
When I set my phone down, Ale eyes me speculatively. "What's got you so excited?" he asks, his brow raised.
"You'll see soon," I tell him, chuckling to myself, and I can't contain the massive grin that's spread across my face.
"Historically, nothing good has ever come from you speaking those words, " he groans beside me, leaning back in his seat.
