10. Gromnyr
CHAPTER 10
GROMNYR
S illy girl.
The human trembles in my hands as we fly back toward my ship. I can sense the fury within her, the anger consuming her.
She has no idea I just saved her life.
Those escape pods? They're for show. The air filters are faulty, their controls dodgy, the comm system non-existent. If I had left her drift off, she would have died a slow and painful death.
Her air supply would end long before she would ever find help. She would drift off into the nearest sun, or perhaps smash headfirst into the first asteroid storm she would come across.
I just saved her life — and I am going to make her pay for it.
