Amos
“She’s ready.”
My brother says with a sinister smile.
She’s beautiful, even angry and covered in dirt.
I’ve been waiting for my brother to get her ready, letting him play the villain first. It’s not that I’m a coward. I’ve already hurt her more by leaving her in the dark.
Reina, my little warrior girl, will be mine tonight. Ours.
Mikeal and I played the part well so that no one would be expecting us both to walk from the woods with Reina when we’ve completed tonight’s festivities. I’m sure it will ruffle some people that we are breaking tradition but we don’t care.
Years. I’ve waited years. Too many. I’ve only ever wanted her.
Mikeal has spent his fair share of time face-fucking the single women in our community, waiting until the last minute to accept our fate.
Not me. Reina was always the only one.
She may have let some other guy have her first but it doesn’t matter. She’s mine. Ours. And tonight she will see that truth too.
I take one more minute to watch her before I step out of the treeline, ready to claim the only girl I’ll ever love.
“She’s ready.”
Mikeal says it with a sick grin on his face.
I see the moment the betrayal washes over her. That I am not going to save her, that I’m not here to stop my brother, that I want this.
It’s time she realized that this is the real me.
“Hello, my love.”
I’ve used the name before, usually with a teasing tone, unlike the serious way I say it tonight.
Squatting down, I cup her face gently as she attempts to pull away.
“Uh uh, none of that. It will all be okay, you’ll see.”
She doesn’t believe me and that’s okay. I have the rest of my life to prove it to her. Tonight, I’ll take her this way, wild and rough. I have plenty of time to cherish her later.
“Why?”
She asks. Her tone is guarded, attempting to hide her fear, but the crack in her voice gives her away.
I give her my truth. “We chose you. You belong with us.”
From the day she tried to save me from my own twin, this was our fate. I’ve never cared for another, I never will. Reina has always been my heart and without her, I wouldn’t exist anymore.
The Ceremony might seem outdated and cruel but it was our way of cementing the future. I won’t feel burdened or angry over something that was inevitable. And why should I?
It led me here.
“My love, you can give in now or later, but you will accept this. If not tonight, tomorrow. From now on, you belong with us. We just need to make it official.”
This time when I reach for her face, she doesn’t pull away.
Mikeal watches on, pretending to gag at the affection. He might prefer to hide the soft side of his psycho but we’ve both seen it here and there.
“Please, , just untie me,”
Reina pleads with me.
My brother is already shaking his head. “No, you’ll run. Don’t deny it either, it’s insulting to lie to our faces.”
I don’t disagree.
Reina isn’t the type to give up so I do the one thing I’ve always wanted.
I kiss her.
She hesitates at first but slowly she begins to kiss me back. My mouth moves against her gently, trying to ease her into this. Reina returns every movement and when she lets my tongue pass her lips, I can’t stop the groan I let out.
The noise must break the spell on her because she pulls away.
A grin takes over my face until my brother’s voice ruins the moment.
“My turn,”
Mikeal demands.
When his lips press to hers, it’s definitely not soft or romantic. It’s a battle they both fight and it ends with Reina’s teeth biting into Mikeal’s bottom lip so hard that she breaks skin.. Blood pools at the wound.
I’m pretty sure that turns him on more.
He runs his fingers over his lip before laughing. “Lucky for you, the fight just makes my cock harder.”
Reina rolls her eyes in disgust which pisses off my brother.
“Don’t do that.”
He says as he grabs her chin.
I watch as he takes his bloody fingers and forces them into her mouth. “Suck.”
I’m not expecting compliance from his demands but I’m pleasantly surprised when she follows the order.
“Good girl.”
I tell her, encouraging her behavior.
For just a slight moment, she lets her guard drop and I can see how much my words affect her as she licks her lips.
Mikeal lets out a chuckle. “This is going to be fun.”
“Why did you pick me?” she asks.
I look at my brother and he shrugs, leaving me to take the lead.
“It was always going to be you, Reina. Since the day you defended me and stood up to Mikeal, you were ours. The Ceremony was just a convenient opportunity to put our plans in motion, though we may have moved sooner had it not been for formalities.”
Being honest and transparent now is our only hope for salvaging the trust and friendship she thinks we’ve ruined.
“No matter what, no matter who, you were always the end game. For both of us.”
I nod my head to Mikeal who has let the mask he wears fall just enough to show her that this is his truth too.
He grunts. “You’re ours, Princess. From tonight until my blood stops pumping.”
Moving back towards her, he squats down to ask, “Are you going to let us take you? Because we’ll never give you back.”
Attempting to show a false sense of power, she hesitates with her response. There’s a fight going on within her.
With one word, filled with sass, she gives in.
“Fine.”
Mikeal moves quickly, grabbing one of her legs and pulling until she’s on her back. “I might make you regret that.”
