Sal

The next morning, Abel kissed me hard when he left. He held me all night, brought me dinner, and took care of me.

I enjoyed it all even though I knew he was leaving and I was going to be sad. I watched as he got in his fancy car and drove off.

Closing the door, I looked at Briar, who was taking me to work. He seemed to ignore our little moment together. "Notice anything different?"

His brow pulled as he glanced at me. "Hair brushed for once?"

"Rude," I said, leaning on the island right beside them. "Maybe you'll notice if I'm closer."

He turned completely, which made me jolt. His eyes ran over my body, studying it before he said, "Turn around."

I chuckled, and I listened.

"Ass is fatter," he muttered.

I burst out laughing, looking at him. Briar was smiling at me. "Oh my god. It is my birthday. You just smiled."

"We have to go," he said, standing and smiling.

I grabbed his cheek and made him look at me. "I didn't know you knew how to do that. You have nice teeth. I've never seen them before."

"Annoying," he said, looking down at me.

"You're right. Beck would have noticed… But he left early."

"Just text him on your fancy new phone," he suggested.

"So, you did notice!" I pulled it from my front pocket. "Look!"

He took it before going into it.

"Try not to look at my nudes," I teased, watching him.

"Too late," he said, tilting his head like he was looking at them, but I hadn't even taken any yet. "Now you have our numbers, at least Beck and I. Let's go before we are late."

Smiling, I took back the one the phone, seeing he had added two contacts. Abel's was there with a heart next to his name. Now there was "ugly twin" and "really hot twin." I texted the second. "Gotta text Beck."

But then Briar's phone dung with my incoming message. "You think I'm the ugly one?"

Laughing, I shook my head, grabbing our stuff as we moved out to the car. I changed their names and put hearts next to them. It made me happy to be able to text them and talk to them, though I knew a phone could be used for so much more. I just didn't know it too much. I sat in the front seat of Briar's car, and it brought back hot memories of Beck and me in his car.

"What?" Briar asked, maybe noticing my face.

I shook my head.

"Okay, weirdo." Once the car started, I texted Beck.

Me:Guess who?

He answered quickly.

Beck:I have a hot girlfriend, sorry.

I smirked.

Me:Oh no! I'm probably hotter. Just wanted to see if you wanted to meet up. I'll let you fuck me in your brother's car.

Beck:Been there. Done that. Unless your name happens to be Psalm Adams, the hottest bitch around, then no thank you.

I chuckled.

Me:Close. It's Psalm Adams, the hottest bad bitch around.

Beck:Oh shit, hey baby. Look at you with a phone, though we already knew Abel was going to get you one.

"Beck said you knew Abel was giving me a phone. Did you know?" I asked Briar.

"Yeah…"

I rolled my eyes. "And you lied to me? You're just not a good boy."

His dark eyes glanced at me as he straightened in his seat.

The things I would do to Briar in his own car if we weren't late. I wanted to rub my hand over his dick and play with him until I had him begging. But I wanted to go for a long time, keep him begging until I was satisfied with it.

"You'll be mine soon," I told him, and a small smirk crossed his lips. "And it won't be fun for you."

"Fuck off, Psalm. I don't need a hard dick throughout the day. You want women to see that?"

"Be a good boy and make sure they don't," I told him as we pulled up to the headquarters. I could see Osiris's car, and fuel lit up my low stomach.

He was saving his come for me.

With an exhale, I opened the door, but Briar stayed still for a moment.

"What's wrong?"

His eyes dropped, and I followed his eyes and saw his large erection through his skirt. My mouth watered, and I wondered if we would get into trouble with just fucking here.

Briar cleared his throat, fixing himself as he began to go down. "Let's go," he muttered with red cheeks. He signed us in, and the moment we entered the lobby, Theron looked up at us. He flashed a smile that had my knees weak.

Get a grip, Psalm. The man is a vampire.

"Father Theo," Briar said when we got close to him.

"Bishop Briar. Been a long time since you were in my class."

Briar noticeably stiffened. "I have to get to work, Father. I'm sorry." He shared a look with me before leaving.

I cocked a brow. "Seems like you have that effect on everyone." I tried to lead the way, but I stopped. I didn't know where I was going. Not yet.

"Not you," Theron said, grabbing my forearm and pulling me down the hall.

Heat rushed through me as I pulled from his touch. "Whatever. I would never be affected by a va—"

Theron's eyes snapped to me, and I stopped myself. He grabbed my forearm, guided me around the corner to an empty hall and into the broom closet.

"Hands off," I snapped, pulling from his grasp.

"Try very hard not to ruin the years of fucking work that I put into this!" He snapped in a low voice.

"Then don't talk about anything sexual. Don't think it, don't imply it or anything!" I hissed.

He rolled his eyes. "You're the one… smelling like that."

"Like what?" My brows pulled. I had taken a shower today, even though my panties were soaked from all the thoughts of my men. Was he talking about that? The heat boiled in my stomach.

"Like that," he growled, stepping closer.

My lower back hit the shelf in the small space.

"All day yesterday, you smelt like this. You live with five men, and they don't know how to please you."

I swallowed. "I'm… insatiable."

His jaw tightened; eyes dropped to my neck. I could feel my pulse heating up. It has been a bit since we were pressed that close to each other, but it felt good. It felt right, but it shouldn't. Theron was a vampire that went unnoticed for years.

"Stop looking at me like you want to eat me. I'm your student, Father Theron," I said in the sweetest voice.

But it didn't help. His hand trapped me between him and the shelf. His head dipped a bit, and my head tilted back instantly.

"So, act like it."

My legs were trembling, waiting for his soft lips to touch mine. Last time he tasted like my blood. This time… I didn't know what he would have tasted like.

Coffee? Blood? Do vampires need anything else to survive?

His cock twitched, and I wanted to beg and moan. Over a vampire. I was fucking insane.

Cozen and Father Nero? Okay a bit crazy. Kier? Getting warmer to insane. Father Theron? I deserved a jacket that makes me hug myself.

"Don't fuck this up for me, Psalm."

I swallowed my name. "I would never, but don't imply I want to sleep with you, or I want anything to do with you. I don't. Us together was a mistake."

He blinked, straightening. He fixed his outfit before nodding. "You are right. You were a mistake."

"Me? You came onto me!"

"I don't know what you're talking about, Ms. Adams. Now if we can please get back to work, that would be amazing."

My jaw tightened. This was what I wanted, for him to treat me like his student, not the girl he tasted and fucked. Yet when he treated me like that, it hurt.

Why?

He fixed himself to hide his long dick from all the eyes that would love to see it. I heard Miren talking about him. It didn't piss me off. He would never go for a girl like that, especially not one he couldn't trust.

Could he trust me?

"Let's go," he ordered and left me, alone and dripping in the broom closet. The moment he stepped out, I could breathe and think again. I fixed myself and followed him.

The day went on with us ignoring what had happened. No more sex comments were made, no more implying, and no more vampire talk.

Right before the end of the day, I watched as the others began packing their stuff. I sat in the middle of the ring, leaning on my hands. My body ached, and I couldn't exactly get myself up anymore.

"Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned," a familiar voice hit my ears. My eyes searched and I found the pale, gothic Father Nero moving inside the gym. "Hello, little mouse."

I rolled my eyes. "Hello, guy who can't make cookies."

He chuckled, leaning on the ropes of the ring. "Father Theron kicking your ass or teaching you something?"

"Just kicking my ass," I chuckled. Last time I saw him, it was at the academy when I left him behind to die. Now he still looked at me the same way, even though I could have stayed behind and helped him. He looked the same, pale skin, black hair pulled into a bun, tattoos climbing his neck and hands, piercings everywhere. He looked more like a vampire than Theron did. "I'm glad you're okay."

Slowly I get to my feet, groaning. I moved to him, head tilting back to look up at him.

"I'm sorry I left you."

"No matter who you are and how strong you are, you're still a lower rank. I would have done it either way, Psalmy. I do miss the cookies, so please apologize for that," he said, split tongue running over his lips.

Heat blazed in my stomach as I smiled at him. "I'll make it up to you."

He nodded. "You better."

"You know Father Nero?" Theron's voice had me looking over.

I wanted to sigh. Can't he go back to Miren and his constant flirting? I was watching, laughing to myself. She had no chance with any of my men.

"Yeah, he was at the academy when…" I started, but my voice trailed.

"Also, I like to sneak in and get some cookies."

Theron rolled his eyes. "One day, you'll get into trouble."

Nero shrugged, glancing at me. "I haven't yet."

I shook my head, rolling my eyes. "Going to get me into trouble, Father." I ducked under the rope, and when I looked up, he was closer than I thought.

"I would never get you into trouble, Psalmy," He smirked. "Not too much trouble anyways."

I scoffed, about to grab my shit, but Nero touched my wrist lightly.

"I came here because I heard you were here working. I'm glad you are okay, and I just wanted to say, if you ever need anything, let me know."

My eyes met his dark gaze. This was the first time I knew he was serious and genuine. "Thank you, Father."

He gave me a nod. I grabbed my shit, ignoring the glare that Theron gave Nero. Nero was oblivious or… just tried to be. He smiled at Theron before leaving.

Soon it was only me and Theron alone in the gym. I stood with my bag and jolted when I hadn't realized that he was this close to me.

"Stay away from Nero," Theron hissed.

I cocked a brow. "You failed to realize I'm not going to listen to you."

He grabbed my wrist to stop me. My eyes moved to it before going up to his face. "I'm serious. He's trouble."

I rolled my eyes, pulling my hand from him. "You might be a father, but you're not my dad. Have a good day, Father Theron. See you tomorrow."

He growled, so I left him there growling. I texted Briar, trying to find him or figure out who was taking me home.

"Hello, beautiful," Beck's voice made my body melt. I twisted to him as he moved toward me. "Ready to go home?"

"Yes, please," I whined, wanting to climb on his back and let him carry me.

But I didn't have to ask; he did it anyway.
