ADRIANNA
R eality clings to my skin, working hard to pull me from my deep sleep, and try as I might, I can't seem to prevent it. My eyelids are heavy, grogginess weighing on my limbs as I sigh, but confusion quickly floods my thoughts as I struggle to stretch out.
Maybe it's not the grogginess weighing down on me but the limbs of others smothering me beneath the bed sheets. Blinking, I fight off the exhaustion that still claims me to find Brody sprawled over me from the left and Raiden pressed along the length of my right side.
It's definitely a sight to wake up to, but the heat they're generating is on the verge of suffocating. Shifting between them, I spy Kryll lying on the other side of Brody while Cassian fills the chair in the corner of the room. His chin rests against his chest and his eyelashes lay softly against his cheeks.
I take a moment to soak it in. Four men, my four crazy men, who can be sharp, cutthroat, and deadly, yet they look so angelic when they sleep.
It's another layer of them, one I want to claim for my own. I want to blame the thought on my connection with my wolf, but if I'm being honest, it's been there all along, growing stronger with every passing day until I can no longer avoid the truth.
I muttered the words to Kryll back in his home, but now I feel them through my entire body.
They're mine. And I am theirs.
A shiver runs down my spine, and I don't know how, but I do know that acknowledging the fact makes my wolf happy. Very happy. It's a weird sensation, feeling something so strongly, but it's something I'm going to need to get used to.
Brody shifts beside me, offering a minuscule opening between us, and I take it. Shuffling between the two hot furnaces, I manage to reach the foot of the bed before the sound of a deep, raspy voice makes me freeze.
"Where are you going?"
I cock a brow at the wolf still filling the chair in the corner. His eyes are open, but otherwise, he hasn't moved an inch. "Out of the depths of Hell. It's fucking hot in here," I answer, pointing over my shoulder, and he smirks. Fucking smirks. Who knew Cassian Kenner was capable of such a thing?
Without a word, he rises to his feet, sauntering toward me with his usual cocky stance. My mouth dries, betraying the calm and collected vibe I'm trying and failing to exude as he falls to his knees before me.
He skims his palms over my thighs, leaving goosebumps in his wake as I shiver.
"Are you okay?" he asks, earning nothing more than a nod as my breath lodges in my throat. "Are we okay?" he adds, uncertainty flickering in his eyes for a beat before it disappears, and I nod again.
He searches my eyes for answers I can't seem to verbalize, and whatever he finds must be what he's looking for because in the next moment, his palms lift, taking the oversized t-shirt I stole from Raiden's closet with it, until his skin is flat against my stomach. With a little pressure, I silently follow his guidance, lying back on the bed as he remains above me.
Looking down the length of my body and seeing him nestled between my thighs is enough to unravel me, and it only intensifies when he grabs my thighs, dragging me closer before spreading me wide. Only then do I lose his eye contact. His gaze shifts to my core as he places my feet flat on the bed, offering himself the perfect view of my pussy, leaving me completely exposed.
He stares, and stares, and… stares, for what feels like a lifetime. I try to clench my thighs together, but his grip denies me the opportunity as he holds me in place. His fingertips press into my flesh, causing my breaths to release in shallow puffs, and I can't take it anymore.
"Cassian," I breathe, pushing up on my elbows to get a better view of him.
The motion pulls him from his thoughts as his eyes latch on to mine. "You're mine, Addi. Mine. Not just because I brought you to the brink of an orgasm and made you say it last night, but because you are my mate. My Alpha."
My body vibrates at his words, my brain short-circuiting as I peer down at him, unable to offer anything more than a nod. Not that he seems to need words from me, because his focus is gone from my face again with his next breath, which coasts over my exposed pussy, making me shiver.
"Ca—oh fuck," I gasp as he eliminates the whisper between us, swiping his tongue through my folds. My fists clench, bunching the sheets at my sides as my head falls back.
"Eyes on me, Alpha," he rasps, his lips brushing against my sensitive skin with every word. I shiver again, a ball of coiled nerves, needy for more.
It takes everything in me to tilt my head back in his direction, even more so to open my eyelids, but the second I do, I'm rewarded with him feasting on me again.
One swipe, two swipes, three. His tongue lashes at my pink center before swirling around my clit. I buck up off the bed, desperate for friction, as another moan parts my lips. "Cassian, please." I don't know what the fuck I'm begging for, but I need it, and I need it now.
He rakes his teeth over my tight nub, continuing to hold my thighs apart as I seek more, but he thankfully puts me out of my misery a moment later when he thrusts his tongue into my core. I melt into the bed beneath me, my subconscious aware that the others are sleeping, but the desire coursing through my veins makes it impossible for me to worry about waking them.
His fingertips press into my thighs so harshly I know there will be bruises once he's done. The thought only strengthens the tingles that zip down my spine, racing me toward my climax. I'm a jumble of gasps and groans as he works my body with only his tongue. Every time my hips lift off the bed, he sinks his teeth into my clit, leaving me feral and pushing me beyond the point of no return.
"Cassian." His name on my lips is the only warning he gets before I'm thrust over the edge of ecstasy, writhing beneath him as wave after wave washes over me, rendering me helpless as I succumb to his touch.
I fall flat on the bed, gasping for breath as he slowly trails kisses over my thighs, likely tracing the bruises he's left behind. I'm still nothing more than a ragged breath when I hear a sigh, but it's not from Cassian… it comes from behind me.
"I could wake up to that every morning." Brody's voice dances with amusement and satisfaction as I sink deeper into the mattress.
"Same," Kryll and Raiden add, confirming the audience I didn't know we had.
"Let's—" Raiden's next words are cut off by the distant sound of a knock. He grumbles under his breath as he storms out of bed. I watch his ass as he goes, but my view is quickly consumed by Brody's face as he leans over me. He strokes a finger down my cheek, his lips parted, but before he can get a word out, Raiden is stomping back into the room with purpose. "Well, it seems this morning you're being summoned by some fae chick to go to Fairbourne's office," he states with a huff as I rush to sit up. But Kryll speaks before I can even process what's going on.
"Fairbourne? He's been about as useful as a chocolate teapot. What the fuck could he want?"
