Chapter 23
CHAPTER 23
***ARCHIE***
A rchie stood looking down at Felicity, his love for her warming him from the inside as the words of their wedding ceremony washed over him, and he couldn't help but smile. So much had changed in only a few days. He was in love, marrying the woman of his dreams; no man could ask for more. He was very aware of how close he'd come to missing out on it all and promised himself that he'd never forget how lucky he was.
When it came time for him to pledge his love to Felicity, he found himself with tears in his eyes as he said the words, but he wasn't embarrassed by his tears of joy. When the minister finally pronounced them husband and wife, he kissed Felicity for so long that the guests began to get restless, and he was forced to let her go.
A cheer went up when they turned to face their new friends and Felicity's family and he was pleased to see her father and mother beaming at them. "We did it," he said, taking Felicity's hand and leading her back down the aisle. "You belong to me officially now. I hope the island was paying attention. "
"Oh, I think it was," she said. "The weather was gorgeous during the ceremony, and now we have a beautiful sunset to enjoy while we eat. This couldn't have been more perfect, Archie."
The tiki torches had been lit for hours, the food had been gone for just as long, and the night was slowly winding down as the moon began to rise in the sky, and Archie was ready to take Felicity back to their cabin. He'd been fighting the waves of desire for hours and knew that only she could satisfy the deep need that had begun to grow inside him. He wanted his wife in his bed, writhing underneath him, her cries of pleasure filling the room; he wanted her soft skin under his hands, her beautiful body exposed to his gaze.
Ten minutes later, they were scampering up the trail to the cabin, Felicity as eager as he was to be alone. "I've been wondering what you have on under that dress all night," he said, trying to lift it as they walked. "Can I just have a little peek?"
"Archie, behave yourself," Felicity said, slapping his hand away. "You'll just have to wait and be surprised."
"Hey, that's not fair," he said, helping her up the ladder to the porch. "I'm your husband, you shouldn't hide things from me."
"I'm not hiding anything from you," Felicity said, opening the door and stepping inside. "I'm just delaying showing you, there's a difference."
"You are a big tease, Mrs. Robinson," he said, reaching for her. "Now can I see?"
Felicity stepped away from him, a mischievous smile on her face, reached back and unzipped her dress, then let it fall to the floor with a shrug of her shoulders. He gasped when he saw the black silky lingerie she wore underneath, his body began to throb, and he reached for her again. She went easily into his arms this time, her eyes full of desire, and he buried his face in her breasts, inhaling her scent until his senses were swimming.
Without a word, he lifted her into his arms, carried her into the bedroom, and made love to her until the early morning hours, the passion between them burning brightly. When they finally settled down to go to sleep, he leaned down and kissed Felicity. "I love you," he said. "This has been the best night of my life."
"I love you too, Archie," she said. "More than anything in the world, and I can't wait to start our life together."
"We already have, sweetheart," he said. "It started that day we ran into each other at the dock."
They fell asleep tangled together as the moon began to set and a new day began, their bodies and souls saturated with the love that they shared. Just as the first rays of light began to appear on the horizon, the air in the bedroom began to stir, a little current of power began to fill the small space, and the island invaded their dreams for the last time.
***Felicity***
Felicity opened her eyes to find herself in the red brick room again and let out a little gasp. Then she felt Archie's hand in hers and looked over at him. "I thought we were done with this," she said. "I didn't think I'd ever see these doors again."
"Look, there's a new one," Archie said, pointing across the room. "Do you think we should go inside?"
"Do we have to?" she asked, shivering. "This was supposed to be a happy night."
Archie studied the door for a second, "I don't think it will be something bad," he said, then grinned at her. "Come on, aren't you just a little curious?"
"Okay, but just a little," she said. "Where are the keys? "
The door creaked open on its own. "I guess this one isn't locked," Archie said, leading her over to it. "And look, you can see inside."
She looked around Archie, surprised to see a beautiful field of wildflowers. "Oh, how pretty," she said. "Maybe one more time wouldn't hurt."
Archie took her hand and pulled her through the door into a beautiful spring scene. The trees were just beginning to bud out, and the smell of new growth was in the air. She took a deep breath, then looked up at Archie, wondering where they were, but only a second later, a couple walked into view.
Even from a distance, she could see that it was her and Archie, but it still made her gasp, and he squeezed her hand. "You get used to it," he said. "Just give it a few minutes, and it won't feel so weird."
As the couple got closer, she could see the bump under the other Felicity's shirt. "Oh, look, Archie," she said. "A baby, and we look so happy."
He wrapped his arms around her, "I told you this time it would be something good," he said. "A little wedding gift from the island, I guess."
They watched the couple stroll along the edge of the field, and then suddenly, a little boy appeared. "Mom, Dad, Ginny won't listen to me, and she won't touch bugs with me," he said. "I hope this one is a boy. Girls are no fun."
Just then, a little girl came toddling out of the tall grass. She looked exactly like Felicity, and Archie sighed. "I always knew our kids would be adorable," he said. "She looks just like you, sweetheart."
The other Archie swung the little boy up into his arms, "I'm sorry, son," he said. "But your sister is still a baby. She doesn't like bugs yet. Give her some time. "
"Dad, put me down," the boy said, squirming. "I'm five. You don't get to pick me up anymore."
"Well, excuse me. I failed to realize how grown up you are," the other Archie said, putting the little boy down. "Run off and play now, Tom. Your mom and I will keep an eye on Ginny. Go have some fun."
Archie turned her around in his arms, "Have you seen enough?" he asked. "I'm in the mood to work on making those three kids, but I'd rather do it in real life."
"Dr. Robinson, do you ever think about anything else?" she asked, grinning up at him.
"Not when you're around, my love," he said. "Let's find the door and get back to the real world, so I can make love to you again."
Felicity woke with a start, feeling the power of the dream slowly fading away, and Archie sat up in bed and grinned at her. "I guess it wasn't quite over," he said. "But that was nice. I don't know if it will come true, but I sure hope it will."
"I love you, Archie," she said, pulling him down to her. "As long as we're together, I'll be the happiest woman alive."
"I love you too, Felicity," he said, sliding his hand down her stomach. "How about we get started on those kids? A boy first, if you please."
