SECRET EPILOGUE

ROMAN

I raised the steaming cup of coffee to my mouth as I joined Richard on the stone balcony that ran the length of the front of the house.

We watched in silence as the Bentley slowly wound its way down the drive, shrouded in the early morning mist.

Close behind them, but out of sight, was a small army of black SUVs, as well as several men on motorcycles.

My lips quirked. "The motorcycles are a bit much."

Just then, the rapid sound of helicopter blades caught our attention. We both looked up as two black military grade helicopters swooped over the roof and across the open field in pursuit of the Bentley.

Richard spared a glance in my direction as he lifted his coffee cup to take a sip. "Says the man who arranged for the helicopters."

I shrugged. We couldn't be faulted for wanting to make sure our baby girls were safe while they embarked on their naughty little misadventure.

I looked at my Rolex. "How long do you think we should give them?"

"Let them have their fun. I've arranged for the pilot to delay their departure, so we should beat them to the villa."

I held up my coffee cup in mock salute. "Well then, let the games begin."
