13. Jax

Jax

" F uck, yes, Tan. Right there," I cried as Tanner hit my prostate over and over.

God, his cock felt wonderful inside me, and I couldn't get enough of it. We both loved switching it up, and since Vegas, we'd tried all kinds of positions, always ending in a sweaty, sated mess.

"Do you want it harder, Jax? Can you take it?" he growled in my ear.

I gripped the soft cushions of his couch and pushed my ass up to meet his thrusts.

"Yes. Fuck, I'm so close."

I saw stars as Tanner thrust in and out of me like his life depended on it. Every time we were together, there was this desperation to be closer, to claw more out of each other. It was almost feral.

Sweat ran down my arms as I tried to keep up with his pace. Every time he hit my prostate, he pried a moan out of me that came from a place so deep inside my soul I didn't even recognize it as my own.

"Shit." My arm cramped and I had to let go of the cushion. I fell forward, crying as Tanner's dick was suddenly absent from my body.

He fell on top of me and kissed my shoulder before his weight was gone. "Turn around."

I did as he commanded because, for Tan, I would do anything. He placed one of my legs over his shoulder and sought my hole again.

"You look amazing like this, Jax. It's like I'm the only one who can do this to you and you love it."

He was. I wanted to say it loud enough for the whole world to hear. I belonged to Tanner Beckett, and I would do anything for him, including being at his mercy. But my words got stuck in my throat and all I could get out were grunts of pleasure.

My dick was rock hard and leaking like a fucking faucet.

I reached out to stroke it, but he slapped my hand away.

"Not until I say you can."

"Fuck, Tan. I need to come so bad. I'm so close."

The corners of his lips raised into a smile. The kind I noticed he only had for me.

The muscles on his chest rippled as he moved in and out of me. I'd liked Tanner when he was the skinny kid who hung around my house, but this Tanner? This guy was all man. He didn't have a lot of chest hair, but the small peppering around his nipples and the happy trail leading to his cock were drool-worthy.

In fact, I hadn't just drooled over them. I'd licked them repeatedly.

Tan wrapped his hand around my cock.

"I'm going to give you what you need, but you can't come until I do. Got it?"

All I could do was nod.

The pace he set was relentless. The couch moved, and I wouldn't be surprised if it broke from under our combined weight.

I needed to be closer to Tanner, so I pulled him until his chest was flush with mine. His hand was trapped between us, giving me slow, purposeful strokes as if he knew any more would set me off.

With my legs wrapped around him and my hands free, I cradled the back of his neck and kissed him. I swallowed every moan. A single gasp later, I felt him coming inside me. Marking me in the same way he'd been doing for days.

He didn't need to tell me to let go because my body did it for me. My release flooded the space between us, lubricating his strokes until I stopped shaking.

"That was…" He shook his head, leaning his forehead against mine. "I've never had sex like this."

"Same."

He raised his head. "Really?"

"Does that surprise you?"

"A little."

I kissed him again. "I've been busy for the best part of the last twelve years. Sex like this doesn't just happen with a hookup or a relationship you're only half-heartedly into."

He hid his face in the crook of my neck and just nodded.

The alarm I set for my phone went off.

"What's that?" he mumbled.

"My cue to get clean and get out. I'm meeting Noah downstairs, and I shouldn't do it smelling like sex."

"But it's such a good smell."

I sighed. "You're going to be the death of me, Tanner Beckett."

"I'll die on the spot and will follow you into hell."

"Hell? What have I done?"

"You've been the best. But it's warm in hell, and those things you can do with your tongue? Look up the definition of sinful one day, and you'll find just two words: Jax's tongue."

We grabbed a shower together. Something else we'd started doing after sex.

In fact, in all our time spent together, there were only two subjects we hadn't touched on.

The first was Vegas. It was as if it hadn't happened.

The other was us, and I knew it was my fault. My schedule at the hospital was hectic, and I spent every free moment with Tanner.

I'd started slipping into his bed after a night shift, waking him up with a blowjob before having breakfast with him and then dragging my tired ass to my apartment to sleep before doing it all over again the next day.

An early start to my day meant I could catch Tanner before the bar was busy. My favorite hobby was trying to see how loud he could scream when he came and then watching as he went down to the bar and had to face his team.

It was no secret what we were doing, especially when he told me that the door to his office had never spent so much time closed. I wasn't a blushing kind of guy, but knowing Tanner's team knew exactly what we were doing behind that door and when we were doing it made me feel a little overexposed.

After the shower, I left Tanner's apartment through the outside door and went around to walk into the bar through the main door.

I saw Noah at the bar. He already had two beers in front of him.

"Man, I really needed one of these," I said, taking the stool next to him and downing almost half of one of the bottles. Sex with Tanner made me thirsty. Mostly for more of him, but his new ale somewhat quenched my thirst.

"Tough day at the hospital?"

"Huh?" I looked at him. "Oh, um…no. Well, yeah, but I finished early today. Anyway, how's it been? And how's your sexy silver fox of a husband?"

He huffed.

"Could be better. We've been married for just over a week and I'm already climbing the walls because I can't climb my husband. "

"Okay, you're gonna have to translate that into real-people speak."

He huffed. "He thinks we shouldn't have sex while we're married because it could confuse things for us. But the problem is that he's sex-on-legs twenty-four-seven, and I'm going out of my mind. If he doesn't budge, it'll be the lack of sex that's going to make things bad."

"Poor Noah. Blue balls don't agree with you, huh?"

"Very funny. And how about you? Are you ready to tell me what happened in Vegas?"

I snorted. "I thought what happened in Vegas was supposed to stay in Vegas."

"That's what people say when shit happens in Vegas."

"Shit always happens in Vegas."

"Then spill it. Your disappearing act with Tanner didn't fool anyone. What did you do? Hookup in a club or something?"

I sighed. A glance behind the bar showed no sign of Tanner. He was probably catching up with the paperwork I'd interrupted when I turned up at his place earlier.

Maybe I could confide in Noah and get some advice.

The thought of getting advice about my Vegas wedding from the guy who married in Vegas for convenience was laughable, but I trusted Noah, and this whole thing was twisting me up inside. The only time I wasn't conflicted about it was when I was naked with Tanner.

"I…I mean, me and Tanner…Tanner and I, we kinda, probably got married in Vegas that night."

Noah coughed, almost spilling the mouthful of beer he'd just sipped.

"You two did what again?"

"Don't make me repeat it."

"I don't even know where to start, so I'll go with, why probably? Did you or did you not get married?"

"We did, but it's complicated. Some shit went down at the chapel and they can't be sure the officiant filed the paperwork. We won't know for a few days if we're actually legally married."

"Dude." Noah laughed. "I want to say congrats because I can see you two make a great couple."

I gave him a side-eye.

"But something tells me it's not straightforward. Why did you do it?"

"I'm gonna need something stronger than this."

Noah raised his arm to call the bartender as I started recounting the events of that night.

Hours later, I opened the door to my apartment and stumbled over a suitcase I didn't recall putting there. "Fuck, I didn't think I was drunk at all. Where did you come from?" I asked the suitcase.

"From home. Are you drunk?" Jodie asked.

I looked at the suitcase and then at my sister sitting on my couch with one of Tanner's, no, my throws over her legs and a book in her hand.

I crossed the room and threw myself at her. "Kiddo! You're here—wait…how are you here?"

She pushed me away and made a show of smelling my breath. Gross.

"Ever heard of airplanes?"

"No, you dumbass. How are you here, like, inside."

"Your porter is really sweet. Don't get mad at him. I asked him not to warn you. I wanted to surprise you."

"Consider me surprised." Because if I didn't know she was here, neither did Tanner.
