Chapter 20
Remus
While I clutched my abdomen, she flew into the air and crashed through my bedroom window. I morphed into my wolf, ignoring the usual tearing from my clothes. The pain in my face and gut lessened once I had shifted entirely. The sleeping beauty took me by surprise, but I needed to bring her back as Dr Lawrence needed us both. I only needed to make her pay before I mounted my little she-wolf.
The thought of her escaping made me howl in a way I’d never howled before. I snarled before I ran across to the window. I dug my claws into the window frame and leapt to the ground. She was genetically altered, and it must have worked, or how else could she have controlled her werewolf in her second shift? It wasn't possible.
I could smell her in the air and took off in her direction. I clawed the ground and raced towards the electric fence before leaping over it. My wolf was much larger than hers, and I could cover the ground faster. The sly little bitch changed course, and I switched directions to follow her. The pain was fading from where she clawed me, but she was well enough for me to fuck her up when I caught up with her. When I heard her noisy running in the woods. She might as well have worn bells around her neck. I sprinted faster until I caught sight of her black fur.
The wolf in me was tense, but I ignored it.
She was mine. Zailah was mine. Her wolf was mine. Her womb was mine.
My mind froze as my body continued to give chase to her. My animal instinct to hunt took over. The startling thought confused me, but before I could dissect it any further, I was running beside her. She snarled at me and snapped her teeth before she stopped to face me. When she leapt at me with her vicious teeth fully visible, I knew she was aiming for my neck again.
I stood upright and gripped her entire neck between my jaws before I slammed her to the ground. She clawed uselessly at my body. My body wasn't human, and she couldn't inflict much damage, if any. I enjoyed sinking my teeth into her neck. As my grip tightened, her growls turned into whimpers.
The need to fuck her was imperative. Punishment could wait. I pushed my claws around her body and lay on top of her. She lay on her side, and I relaxed my hold on her to look into her yellow-glowing eyes. Her black fur made them shine brighter like two rare gems. She was fucking sensational both my wolf and human felt it within every cell in our being. I felt her muscles tense beneath me, and I knew she would try to run or fight, so I tightened my grip on her neck again. She was mine, and tonight, I would take what was mine.
A soft growl escaped from her and continued until she began to lose consciousness. I watched until she slipped away before I released her neck and bit into the soft flesh at the back of her neck. Once my grip was secure, I used one claw to hold her body beneath mine so I could transport her back to the asylum. It was awkward dragging her body and running on three legs, but my human body wouldn't be able to get her back fast enough.

I stood naked in my bedroom while the doctor took her blood. He looked uncomfortable, but I didn't give a fuck. I wasn't going to leave her to put clothes on. Her wolf was powerful. Just thinking about our tussle made my cock harden. She would soon return to her human form.
“The shift must have pulled her out of her coma. The genome editing worked. She should have died with the amount of liquid silver she swallowed,”
the doctor said as he turned to look at me.
It was almost comical when he saw my erect dick. My dick was something I was immensely proud of. It was long and thick, and that’s why I loved choking women with it the majority of the time. He became flustered and gathered the new samples he’d taken from us.
“No more causing her pain,”
I said. “Even if it takes longer or you need to use me. If she gets as much as a scratch on her, I will end you.”
“W-what? But you—”
“I know what I set out on the contract. Add the DNA in me and run the silver tests on me. If it’s worked on her and she survived consuming the liquid silver, then it will work on me.”
“Of course, it’s your choice,”
he said cautiously before he turned to leave.
She wouldn't be in her wolf form for long since her body had transitioned the last time. It all clicked into place when we were in those woods. She was not only mine but myself, and my wolf was hers.
My ignorance and arrogance kept me from acknowledging why she was different or why I’d kept a distance from her, but with this second full moon, every sense told me what I needed to know. I grimaced when I thought of Shelton and what I’d allowed.
She could have died or never have come out of her coma, and I would never have known. That would never happen again, even if I had to chain her to me for every second of the day. She would never be rid of me. I rubbed the stubble on my jaw before I flung her over my shoulder to get what I needed.
When I reached the bedroom, I felt the cool night air filter through the broken window. Once I lay her on the bed, I stood up and stared at her unconscious face. One month had passed without me realising what she was to me. I was the cause of her pain and misery. This required a drastic change of tactics, but not enough for her to try and run from me again.
I was grateful that I’d planned her captivity with so many contingencies in mind. This was our destiny. We had always meant to cross paths in the manner that we did. I would ensure she accepted her fate because I wouldn't give her a choice.
After all, I told her from the beginning that I was content to be her villain.
