134. Arnulf

CHAPTER 134

Arnulf

~Several hours later~

As I gradually awaken, the unmistakable aroma of sizzling bacon permeates the air, filling the room with its savory fragrance. It's a surprising scent to encounter in my bedroom, not typically associated with my morning routine.

Beside me, Aurora begins to stir, her movements slow and languid as she emerges from her slumber. I observe the subtle twitch of her nostrils, catching the faintest whiff of the bacon scent that hangs in the air.

Suddenly, her eyes flutter open, a spark of recognition igniting within them. A soft chuckle escapes her lips as she takes in our surroundings, her amusement evident in the laughter that follows. "I can't believe we ended up fooling around in the closet and then falling asleep here," she remarks, her voice laced with humor. "This is certainly a new experience, even for me."

As her laughter fills the room, I can't help but join in, the absurdity of our situation washing over me in waves of amusement. Despite the unconventional circumstances, there's a sense of intimacy and closeness that envelops us, turning this unexpected morning into a cherished memory to be shared between us.

She smiles and then kisses my nose, my cheek, and then my lips. "It smells like one of the boys brought me breakfast." She lifts her nose in the air and inhales. "Bacon." Deep sniff. "Eggs." Another deep sniff. "And smells like waffles too." She tilts her head several more times. "Yep, definitely waffles and maple syrup." She wiggles herself free from our little cocoon and then offers her hand to me. "Come on, let's go eat."

As we step out of our secluded sanctuary, I feel a mixture of contentment and exhilaration coursing through my veins. My disheveled appearance and stained clothes are a testament to the passionate night we shared, but I wear them with pride, devoid of any sense of shame.

In the room, the air is heavy with the lingering scent of our lovemaking, a heady mix of sweat and desire that hangs in the air like a tangible presence. Despite my state of bliss, a twinge of paranoia creeps in, and I find myself scanning the room for any signs of intrusion.

With each careful sweep of my gaze, I search for hidden threats, my senses on high alert. But as I find nothing amiss, a sense of relief washes over me, mingling with the lingering traces of passion and intimacy that still linger in the air.

Aurora's laughter fills the room, a melodious sound that pierces through the tension and soothes my frayed nerves. "What are you looking for, babe? There's no one else here but us." Her reassurance is like a balm to my restless mind, grounding me in the present moment and reminding me that in her arms, I am safe and loved.

As she sips at her ginger water, her eyes twinkling with mischief, I can't help but smile in response. In this moment, surrounded by the warmth of her presence, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude and contentment.

"Okay, babe, not a problem." I settle down in the chair next to her and load up my plate. I even put a few slices of bacon with my food. Aurora looks at me curiously because normally I don't touch the stuff. I pick up the offensive bacon and wiggle it at her. Promptly she lunges forward and bites the bacon strip in half. I am mildly concerned for the health and well-being of my favorite member in the back of my mind. My free hand slides down and just makes sure that he's still intact. Once I'm sure everything's okay, I go back to feed her the other half.

Of course, she's laughing at me because she caught me checking. "Why on earth would I harm something that I love to use?" She tilts her head to the side and flashes me one of those dazzling smiles of hers.

I get butterflies in my stomach, and my heart flutters in my chest from being the center of her attention. "Well, babe, you see, the way you attacked that bacon was frightening. Thankfully, I was not holding up a breakfast sausage, that would have been way worse," I say with my eyebrows raised, trying to get her to relate the two things to my member.

She double blinks, looks at the bacon, and the breakfast sausage on her plate, then back to me, under the table, back to her plate. And in all seriousness, she looks at me, and she says, "Yours is bigger." I damn near choke on my orange juice. I'm coughing and sputtering, trying to clear my throat when the boys come waltzing in.

They all look from me to Aurora, and I'm still coughing. "What did you say to him?" Dominik asks.

Aurora holds up the eight-inch strip of bacon and wiggles it towards Dom. "I scared Arnulf when I bit the piece of bacon in half earlier. I then told him that he is bigger than the bacon." She motions to me while I'm still trying to clear my throat. "This is the result."

She smiles broadly as Dominik looks at the bacon, then down to his own crotch back to the bacon, then over to me. "Mother fucker! Why do I always have to be last in the goddamn lineup?" he says just before he storms out of the room.

I furrow my brows as the other guys all start laughing their asses off. "Obviously, I'm missing something here," I say as I look between the guys and Aurora. "Would somebody mind filling me in?" I ask curiously.

Dimitri steps forward and pours himself a glass of orange juice, and starts laughing. "Once upon a time in a castle far, far away, Aurora decided to put her mates in order according to the size of their dicks." He tilts his head to the side, waiting for it to sink in.

That aha moment hits when I look at the bacon, look down at my crotch, back up to Dimitri, and I just nod slowly. "Okay, so apparently I'm not last, and he is." I can't help but smirk at that news, I look over at Aurora, and she's still laughing hysterically. "I'm just curious, where am I on the lineup?" Raising a single eyebrow, I watch my mate for the answer.

Aurora takes a deep breath, and with all seriousness, she starts naming her mates. "Dimitri, Alaric, Jayce, you, Klaus and Dominik." I look at Klaus, he shrugs his shoulders, I look at Jayce, he's smiling proud as a peacock Dimitri and Alaric both high five.

"Okay, I can live with that. Thanks babe," I say, smiling before I go back to my breakfast. Klaus kind of tilts his head looking at me, and then looks at my crotch and then back up again.

"So, if I understand this correctly, our resident eagle is bigger than two wolves." Klaus makes a statement instead of a question. He's looking at how much smaller my build is versus his build.

"Sorry to tell you, Klaus, but yes he is. It also helps that his body is much smaller than yours because I can fit around him better." She smiles and then lightly touches my cheek before stealing the last two bacon slices off my plate.

As I bask in the aftermath of my private victory, a sense of satisfaction washes over me, tingling along my skin like a warm embrace. The air in the room feels charged with an electric energy, crackling with the excitement of my achievement.

I revel in the solitude, savoring the rare moment of peace and quiet. The tranquility is palpable, wrapping around me like a comforting blanket, soothing my frayed nerves and easing the tension that had built up within me.

But it's not just the silence that fills me with contentment; it's the undeniable sense of accomplishment that courses through my veins. For once, I feel like I've come out on top, triumphant in a way that I've never experienced before.

And then, as if on cue, a sharp blow lands on the back of my head, snapping me out of my reverie. The sudden impact jolts me back to reality, dispelling the lingering euphoria with a swift and sobering reminder of the world outside my own thoughts.

As I turn to face Nicodeamus, a wry smile tugs at my lips, a silent acknowledgment of the playful reprimand. Despite the interruption, I can't help but feel a sense of pride swelling within me. After all, in this moment, I am indeed larger than life, if only in one aspect.

"I talked to Dom, kid, don't let it go to your head." As Aurora's dad addresses me, his words send a rush of heat to my cheeks, tinting them a brilliant shade of pink. The sensation of embarrassment washes over me, my heart pounding in my chest as I realize that Aurora's father may have caught on to our playful banter.

Amidst the laughter that echoes through the air, I can feel Aurora's amusement reverberating in the atmosphere. Her infectious laughter fills the space around us, nearly causing her to lose her balance and topple from her chair.

Quickly, Dimitri springs into action, swooping in to rescue Aurora from her precarious position. With a gentle yet protective gesture, he lifts her up and settles her onto his lap, ensuring her safety amidst the laughter and merriment.

"Silly woman, calm yourself before you hurt yourself and the cubs," As Aurora's emotions run high, a wave of tension fills the air, palpable even amidst the chaos of the moment. Dimitri's gentle nuzzle against her cheek carries a sense of reassurance, his words a soothing balm to her frazzled nerves.

But as the seconds tick by, a sudden shift in atmosphere takes hold. The unmistakable sensation of moisture against Dimitri's skin elicits a visceral reaction, prompting a mixture of surprise and disgust to ripple through the group.

With a grimace of distaste, Dimitri's expression contorts into an "eww" face, the evidence of our escapades now visible for all to see. The scent of the release lingers in the air, adding an unexpected element to the already charged atmosphere.

Amidst the chaos, laughter erupts from my lips, its sound echoing through the clearing. The tension of the moment is broken, replaced by the infectious energy of shared amusement.

"What am I missing here?" Alaric's voice breaks through the chatter, his brow furrowing in confusion. Suddenly, his nose twitches, catching a whiff of the heady, mixed scent of arousal lingering in the air.

With an exasperated sigh, he strides over to my bathroom, grabbing a towel and washcloth before returning to Aurora's side. "Go clean up," he insists, his tone firm but gentle. Yet, Aurora merely rolls her eyes in response, stubbornly refusing to comply as she shakes her head defiantly.

The tension in the room crackles with suppressed laughter as I watch the playful exchange unfold, a smile tugging at the corners of my lips. The interplay of scents and emotions fills the air, adding a layer of complexity to the already charged atmosphere.

"We need to get ourselves downstairs. There are still things that we need to take care of before the dignitaries arrive," Nicodeamus announces, his words cutting through the air with a sense of urgency.

Instantly, the atmosphere in the room shifts, and a wave of concern washes over us. I exchange glances with my companions, each of us mirroring the other's apprehension.

"What do you mean dignitaries?" I inquire, my voice laced with unease as I turn to face Nicodeamus.

"They were invited after the birth of the twins, or have you forgotten?" Nicodeamus's words hang heavy in the air, a stark reminder of our oversight.

A collective sense of panic grips us as we realize the implications of our forgetfulness. Aurora's sudden movement breaks the silence, her hurried exit signaling the urgency of the situation. Without hesitation, she bolts from the room, her footsteps echoing down the hallway as she rushes back to hers.

In the wake of her departure, a sense of urgency fills the room, propelling us into action as we scramble to prepare for the impending arrival of the dignitaries. The weight of our oversight hangs heavy upon us, driving us forward with a newfound sense of purpose.

"Thanks, guys," I say before heading into my bathroom to go shower and straighten up, making sure that I'm prepared for this visit that we all forgot about.
