41. Reese
Sunlight warms my closed eyelids. I squint against the brightness, noticing the little dust motes floating around in the light before taking in the rest of the room.
We came in last night in a tangle of lips and limbs. I barely looked around.
Cody’s guest room is simple, but comfortable.
Especially considering the fact that I have a very large, very warm body curved around mine. I don’t think I’ve ever woken up feeling so relaxed, so content, in my entire life. Stretching, my back curves against his chest and he stirs awake. His lips and soft scruffy jaw brush my shoulder.
Twisting back, I angle my head and he leans in so that he can kiss my lips.
It’s a soft kiss, sweet and lingering—a big contrast from last night. Everything about that was fierce and desperate. My lips are still a little puffy, probably somewhat bruised. There’s a slight ache between my legs, but it’s all so, so good.
He gently pushes my shoulder so that I’m lying flat on my back. His forearms cage my body and his kiss is so tender.
I can’t believe this man never gets a second date. If he kisses everyone else the way he kisses me, I’m amazed there isn’t a rabid fanbase trying to pound his door down.
But then I’m thinking about his first dates, so many first dates.
He pulls back, peering down at me. “Where’d you go?”
Oops. Let my wandering thoughts give me away. “You don’t want to know.”
He smiles softly, bending down to nibble at my neck. My fingers trail down his chest, nails gently scratching along his hips, before finding what I’m after. I curl my fingers around his heavy shaft, marveling at the way it stiffens under my touch.
Skyler nips at my shoulder. “Fair warning, I only brought that one condom.”
“Skyler!”
I groan. “You’ve got to set higher goals.”
He chuckles, grunting when my grip tightens. “I need a fatter wallet.”
I let my fist slide up and down his length. “Think Cody has spares floating around?”
“I know he does, but they’re the wrong size. Too snug.”
“I don’t want to know why you know that.”
He grins sheepishly. “Yeah, I know. I’m an animal.”
When I was with Jonah, I’d get insecure if he so much as talked to another girl. But we’re basically discussing the other times he’s brought women back to Cody’s place and I’m not that bothered by it.
Much.
Maybe that’s because with Johan, the premium was placed on being the only one, and with Skyler, we’re both trying to prepare for the next one.
My fingers trail over the veins in his shaft. “Do we need one?”
He goes still, putting his hand over mine. “A condom?”
He doesn’t pull my hand away, so I drag my fist slowly up his shaft.
His eyes flutter shut, and he takes a shaky breath. “You should always use a condom when you’re with a guy, Reese.”
“Yeah, but you’re not just another guy.”
I let go of his shaft. “You don’t want to?”
His gaze meets mine, heated, but conflicted. “I want to.”
“Have you been tested lately?”
“Yes.”
“And?”
His fingers tentatively trail up my side. “Came back clear.”
“So…?”
“So, I’ve never…”
I grin, unable to help myself, biting my lip. Finally. Found something that we were both inexperienced with. I put my hands on his hips, guiding him between my legs. “Don’t worry, I’ll be gentle.”
He chuckles, bending down to kiss my neck. “I’m in your hands.”
I reach down, adjusting him so that he’s nudging between my folds. He takes another raspy breath, pressing his forehead to my shoulder as he slowly pushes inside. I gasp, fingernails digging into his hips. I’m dimly aware of the tremble that wracks his body.
“Reese.”
He groans. “It’s so good. You feel so good.”
My thighs slide up along his hips and he runs his hands over the back of them, pushing them towards the bed so that I’m spread wide for him. He pulls back and pushes in again, stretching me. I love the way it feels. I love being possessed like this, being connected with him like this. A moan catches in my throat as he draws back.
“Am I hurting you?”
His voice is a husky murmur, laced with concern.
“No. Not at all.”
I whisper, pressing my forehead into the crook of his neck. “Don’t stop, baby. I can take it. Deeper, please.”
He gathers me up in his arms and pins my hips to the bed. His weight anchors me down and with each thrust, he presses me against the mattress so that I’m sinking into it.
It’s always good when I’m with Skyler, but this feels different.
It’s like he’s not holding himself back and I didn’t realize he was before. But now that I’ve seen what he’s like when desire and pleasure are shivering through him, I think I might be hooked.
Which isn’t good.
But being good never did me any favors.
