Five years later
SITTING IN THE nursery in the middle of the night, I hold my newest baby in my arms. Dallas, my Sweet Girl, has given me three children now. The twins came roaring into our lives in the middle of a snowstorm almost five years ago. We had a little girl named Gia Taylor, who's a complete daddy's girl, and Sebastian Thomas. He's a mama's boy, but still follows me and his uncle Tripp around to learn everything he can about bikes and cars. Now, I'm holding our daughter Ariel Grace after Dallas has fed her. Ariel is the perfect combination of Dallas and me while Gia looks just like her mama and Sebastian is all me. There isn't a single feeding that I don't get up for. Every single day I'm with my kids and hands on. The only time I ever leave them is to go to work and I've cut back the number of hours I work at Entice. If I go on a run, it's none that are overnight. We've all been staying around home more often because so many kids have been added to our family over the years.
There isn't a single member of the club who hasn't added kids to their family. Reaper and Alex now have three kids, adding a little boy they named Daniel to their family. Trax and Reagan have added a little girl to their family named Berkliegh. Savage and Zoey also had a little girl they named Teegan. Hawk and Kendall also had a daughter they decided to call Brinley because it was a name Kelsey always wanted to name her daughter if she had one. Emmie and Tripp have had two kids. A son named Coleson and a daughter named Carlie. Tripp hates that he has a daughter because she's already beautiful and he knows he's gonna have to beat the little fuckers away from his girl. Cash, Rebel, and Eagle have just had their first child as well. Rebel gave her men a son named Beckett. They were so excited when Rebel decided to give them a baby. Both men adore her and I've never seen the three of them happier than they are now.
Dallas is the most amazing mom to our kids. She's there every second of the day and takes them everywhere with her. When she's in with an animal at the clinic, the kids are in the playroom that was added on to the back. We hired a nanny to work there to keep an eye on the kids so Dallas wouldn't have to rely on anyone else to take care of them. Plus, I'm there more often than not because no one else will be with my kids when I'm more than capable of spending time with them. Our relationship has only gotten even stronger over the years and I love her more today than I did so long ago. We rely on one another, support each other, and have never taken a single second for granted when it comes to the love we share. I know every single thing there is about my wife and she knows everything but club business about me.
Emmie and Dallas are also closer than ever. Tripp, Emmie, Dallas, and me are always together. I overheard the women talking one day about building a large house so that we could all live together instead of going from one house to the other on a daily basis. Tripp and I have no clue if they were joking or not so we're literally just waiting for them to bring their grand idea to us. Honestly, I don't think I'd hate living with them, but it's kind of insane to think that we'd add more kids, animals, and adults to a single home than anyone else on the compound. No, I can't tell my wife no and neither can Reaper.
The compound now has a barn at the back of where our homes are located. Inside there are horses, a donkey, mini goats, a pig, and ducks. The ducks spend most of their time in the pond that's been stocked every year with fish. Dallas takes care of the animals with the help of Shield and the Prospects. While my wife does most of the work, the guys always help her. Especially Shield. He is learning everything he can at Dallas' side and has been thinking about going to school to become a vet so he can help her even more at the clinic and step in to give her time off when she needs it.
We spend at least two nights a week at Mayor Parker's house so he can spend time with his daughter and grandchildren. I've gotten to know him over the years and he loves his family so much. For the first time since he lost his wife, Mayor Parker has been out on a date. He wasn't sure about it and decided not to ask the woman out for a second one, but Dallas was excited to see him take that first step. When we're not at the mayor's house, he comes to see us. And he's been to so many cookouts over the years and everyone in the club loves it when he's here. The mayor isn't anyone special as he dresses in jeans and tee-shirts and drinks beer with us. He's just a man who happens to be my father-in-law and has given me his daughter to love and protect for the rest of my days.
So many changes have been made in the club over the last five years. One of the biggest changes has been the Fallen girls. While we still have them for the men who remain single, they no longer live in the clubhouse. An apartment building was built for them not far from the clubhouse where single parents can live with their children as well. The Fallen girls know they are to dress appropriately at all times and not to drag our name through the mud or they're gone. When they do come to the clubhouse, it's only during certain hours and then they're out before the morning. Even on the weekends, they aren't allowed to spend the night at the clubhouse. The only one who stays full-time now is our new girl behind the bar. Her name is Cassie and she's sweet just like Rebel. Shield actually has his eye on her and I hope they work their shit out.
Another huge change that's been made is that Saturdays and Sundays are family days at the clubhouse. We spend our weekends together and the ol' ladies get together and cook huge feasts. If there's a game on, the men watch that while the women sit and gossip and watch over the kids. All of our kids are being raised together as cousins and best friends. There's so many little girls in our family now that we're all brushing up on our shooting skills every single day. None of the little fuckers are gonna get close to our daughters if we have anything to say about it. Especially those of us who have multiple daughters. I know I plan on starting Sebastian out young with his training. Tripp will do the same with his son.
I never once thought I'd ever find the love of my life and be as calm and filled with peace as I am right now. Dallas brings out the very best in me and makes me strive to be the best man I can be every day I wake up. Our children make me want to be the best version of myself that I can be. Looking down at my newest daughter who is only two weeks old, I realize that I am the best version of myself that I can be.
"Are you gonna hold her the rest of the night, handsome?" Dallas asks me as she enters the nursery with Danger at her heels.
"No. I got lost in thought and my baby girl loves bein' in her daddy's arms as he rocks," I tell her, leaning up for the kiss Dallas gives me.
"Ariel and Gia have you wrapped around their little fingers, Adam. You spoil them rotten and are going to make their teenage years a living hell. Have you thought about that?" she returns, her voice full of sass and laughter.
"Gia is already givin' me gray hair, Sweet Girl. Do you know what she did last night when you ran to the store?" I question my wife as she sits down in the second rocking chair we have in the nursery for these exact moments.
"What did she do?"
"She climbed up on my bike and was puttin' the key in the ignition when I found her. Told me she wanted to go for a ride and was waitin' for me. I don't even know how she got the damn keys from me," I say, exasperation filling my voice as I look at Dallas who doesn't bother holding in her laughter.
"Well, you've been giving them rides on your bike for months now. You know Gia always wants to go out with you. You're the one who's created a monster and you'll be the one to deal with her. But, I have to say that Sebastian is just as bad. He jumped down half the steps to beat Gia to me. They were racing or some shit. When he fell and slid head first into the couch, he laughed like crazy," she informs me as I take my turn to laugh.
"Our kids are hellions and are gonna outsmart us every single way possible. Tripp just found his first gray hair yesterday. He called me bitchin' up a storm. Blamed Emmie and the kids when I think it's the fact that he's so busy tryin' to make sure his kids don't ever get hurt that he never gets a second to relax and rest," I tell my wife as she places her hand on my arm next to Ariel's tiny feet.
"You know, by the time you put her in the crib, it's gonna be time for me to feed her again," Dallas says as we both watch Ariel squirm in my arms.
"I know. That's part of why there's no point in me layin' her down now. You know when she starts squirmin' like this that it's only a matter of time before she wakes up and screams down the house. The last time she almost woke up Bash and that's never a good thing because it takes him forever to get back to sleep," I remind my wife as she gets more comfortable in the chair for when our precious girl wakes up to eat again.
"I love you, Adam. Always and Forever. You've given me the best years of my life and I can't thank you enough. Every day with you is better than the last," Dallas says, her eyes sliding closed before popping back open. Even exhausted, my Sweet Girl will never complain about anything involving our kids.
"I love you, Sweet Girl. Always and Forever," I tell her, my voice a whisper as Ariel starts to squirm more in my arms. "Every day with the kids and you are the best of my life. You've given me thousands of memories I cherish and three of the best kids in the world. Dallas, every day with you is nothin' less than the very best. Thank you for the best years of my life and for keepin' me out of the dark when all I wanted to do was sink in it and stay there."
It's not long before Ariel is up and her whimpers go from soft and sleepy to a full on scream as Dallas lowers the top of her nightgown. I don't move as our daughter eats from her mama. Danger is at our feet and he keeps his eyes on our daughter. With every one of our kids, Danger has taken them in as his kids. He follows them around the house when they're awake and then patrols the hallway at night to ensure no one gets close to the kids. I've found him countless times sleeping at the end of one of their beds or in front of the crib when he hasn't been in our room with us.
When I tell Dallas I don't need anything else in life, I'm serious. I'm living my best life and there's nothing more I'll ever want.
Dallas and I take care of Ariel before she rocks our youngest princess back to sleep and puts her in the crib. This time she doesn't let me hold her because she knows I'll stay in the nursery with her until it's time to feed her once again. After checking on Ariel and making sure she's warm and comfortable, I leave the nursery with Dallas. We go to each kids' room and check on them before finally getting back in our own bed with Danger making one last round before he settles back in for the night. With my wife in my arms, I let sleep claim me knowing we'll be up again very soon.
The End of The Fallen Brethren!
