Chapter 5

CHAPTER 5

" Y es?"

Josh blew out the breath he’d been holding at Lyssa’s answer and Jake’s disbelieving response.

"Damn, right, yes," Jonah muttered, while Josh kept his eyes on her lowering head, before her clear gaze landed on him. After the look of uncertainty her eyes had held seconds before, he’d been positive they’d be finding a way to get her down the mountain and to her own house. Of course, that would have entailed corralling Jake to help him tie Jonah up in the back seat to get it done.

"Okay," Josh said, while Jonah moved in and lifted her up and inside the truck.

"Oh, god," Lyssa moaned, her body seeming to sink into the seat, while her eyes closed in a look that reminded him of orgasmic bliss. "Heated seats."

"She’s killing me," Josh muttered, meeting his brothers’ gazes as Jonah shut the door. That was just the kind of moan he wanted to hear in their bed, and that same look of complete satisfaction when they were done.

"You think heated seats could act as an aphrodisiac?"

Josh frowned at Jake’s question, then shook his head at his brother’s familiar smirk.

"I don’t think so," Jonah groused. "Now, let’s get going before she changes her mind." His brother grimaced at them. "And don’t think I didn’t know you two would have found a way to get her down the mountain if that’s what she’d insisted on. With or without me."

"True," Jake said. "I’d already planned how we’d tie you up."

"Me too," Josh added in, snickering.

"You two are a riot," Jonah grumbled as he glanced into the passenger window. "So, again, let’s go. My balls are starting to freeze."

Jake laughed as he opened the door and got in. Josh followed him, then wanted to moan too at how heat seeped through his damp jeans. His balls appreciated it.

"Go slow," Lyssa said. "Just in case, we…" She took a deep breath. "Just in case."

"Don’t worry, baby," Jonah said, his tone gentle as he kept both hands tight to the steering wheel. "We’ll go slow."

His brother hadn’t added that going slow was the only way they could drive at this point. Josh had been deadly serious when he’d said they could be stuck if they didn’t get going. Looking ahead through the windshield, then out the side window, they still might. It was coming down fast and hard now.

There had been snow events —something the overzealous weatherman liked to call them—since they’d moved to Parson’s Ridge, but never one like this. This was?—

"How can you even make out where we’re going?" Alyssa’s quiet question was a good one. He and his brothers had driven this road for three years, but even he was having a hard time making out the way.

"Don’t worry, baby." Jonah’s own quiet response exuded confidence he hoped his brother actually had. "I know every turn in this road."

"I can’t see the sides of the road anymore," Alyssa said. "If Becca’s car?—"

"It’s not." Josh had to cut that morbid train of thought completely off. She needed to believe her friend was safe. And fast. What better way than to challenge her? "Is Becca a smart woman?"

"Well, yes," she answered. "Of course, she is."

Josh shared a grin with Jake over the bit of heat she’d used to say that.

"Alright. Now, do you honestly think once she saw how bad the weather was that she would actually try to drive in it? And remember," he said, heading off whatever she might be about to say with the deep breath she’d just taken, "the snow would have started at the higher elevation first."

That deep breath left her in a whoosh.

"Well…" Alyssa turned, grumbling about how tight Jonah had her seatbelt secured in place. Of course, his oldest brother’s profile sported a grin as she peered at Josh over the back of her seat. It wouldn’t be too much longer before found out just how much Jonah liked having his own way.

"I suppose you have a point." He could tell she wasn’t too happy about having to admit that. "However," she said, her eyes determined, "as soon as the road is clear, we will be looking for her."

"Absolutely," he said, nodding. "Right, brothers?"

"Sure," Jake answered, nodding, while Jonah just sort of huffed.

" Right , Jonah," Josh emphasized to his brother, while staring a hole in the back of his head. And Jonah felt it too from the way he rolled his shoulders and shook his head.

"Okay, we’ll look for her." Of course, Jonah wasn’t finished. "But only if I decide the roads are clear enough."

Alyssa cut her eyes to Jonah, then leveled them back on Jake, then him.

"Has he always been this contrary?"

"Since we were in the womb," Jake said, laughing, while Josh held Alyssa’s questioning gaze.

"Only when something’s really important," Josh said, leaning forward as far as he could—getting as close to her as his seatbelt would let him in the dark confines of the truck. "Like you."

His gaze dropped to her parting lips. He needed his mouth on hers again. The small taste he’d had would never be enough. Who knew, maybe no kiss would ever be enough. And the kissing wouldn’t only be on her full lips, but in other places he knew had to be just as delicious.

"Are we there yet?" he rasped out, his gaze meeting and holding her widening one.

"Turning in now," Jonah answered, his voice holding a lot of relief, as Josh sat back, and Alyssa swiveled back to face the front.

"Wow…" she breathed out. "Your cabin. It’s huge."

"That’s what she said," Jake chuckled out low.

"Really?" Josh gave his brother a frowning glance, while Jonah shook his head and Alyssa let out a little snort.

"You and Jonah," Jake said, giving Josh his full attention as the truck came to a stop, "are far too serious. It’s been my job for the past twenty-five years to lighten you up. And I take that pretty seriously."

"Twenty-five?" Alyssa groaned. "Oh, god. Y’all are way too young for me."

Any hint of humor fled as that little statement garnered all of their attention. Seatbelts unlocked, before the three of them leaned toward where Alyssa had straightened and gone still, and her wide eyes bounced between them. Jonah, the lucky bastard, moved in the closest.

"Baby, try saying that again. My hand has been itching to give your ass a few good swats."

The image of Lyssa laid over his brother’s lap—her bare ass rosy—giving her those swats, her mouth full of Jake’s dick, and Josh…

He pulled on the crotch of his still damp jeans. He would be taking his time licking deep inside her pussy. His mouth watered for that, while he struggled to keep his cock under control. He was surprised his glasses weren’t fogging.

" What? " Lyssa undid her seatbelt and pivoted in her seat, her eyes narrowing on each of them in the dark, while snow continued to fall all around the truck. It was like they were in their own little world. "You think I’d allow that?"

"Oh, I think you’d allow that," Josh said, his voice gruff, as Jonah shut off the engine and the interior lights came on. Alyssa blinked several times and squinted. "I think you’d allow that and a whole lot more."

"Really. And what makes you think that?"

Josh liked that little breathless quality in her voice.

"Because, Lyssa, you’re wet." A gasp parted her lips. "For us. How just the thought of Jonah turning your ass all nice and hot and red while Jake and I watch…" His cock had gone so hard it was about to rip through the zipper. "It’s making your pussy even more wet and so achy, you can’t wait for us to give it what it needs."

"Umm…" A shaky breath left her, as her gaze darted to each of them and the light dimmed, enfolding them again.

"Is that what you want, baby?" Jonah’s low, raspy question rumbled around them. "You want us to take care of that pretty little pussy of yours? Give it what it needs. Give you what you need?"

"Tell us," Jake said, just as low, his hands going to the back of Jonah’s seat and his fingers digging into the leather. His younger brother came off to everyone as laid back. And he was. Most of the time. But right now, Jake’s tension and need nearly vibrated around him.

"Please, Lyssa." A year of waiting and biding their time had come down to the next few seconds. "Tell us that’s what you want."

The truck was almost soundproof, but he could swear he heard every snowflake hitting the ground as they waited for Lyssa to say the words they all so desperately wanted to hear.

"It’s…" A low breath left her. "It’s what I want."
