Chapter Eight

J asper

The stars above us shimmer brightly, as if they're celebrating our moment of passion. Lila and I lie on the blanket outside my caravan, the world around us fading away.

Her body beneath mine feels like the perfect fit, our movements both tender and urgent. There's a rhythm to our connection, a silent understanding that guides us. I lean down, capturing her lips in a kiss that's both soft and demanding, tasting the sweetness of her desire.

"Jasper," she breathes against my mouth, her voice a seductive whisper that sends shivers down my spine.

I respond with a growl, deepening the kiss, my hands roaming over her body.

"Do you feel it too?" I murmur against her lips, my breath mingling with hers.

She nods, her eyes dark with desire. "Yes, I've never felt anything like this."

I trail kisses down her neck, savoring the taste of her skin, the way she arches into me with every touch. So sensitive to my touch, I love that.

I slide my hands down her sides, feeling the softness of her curves, the heat of her body. Every gasp, every moan, fuels my desire, my need to make her feel everything I'm feeling. I've never been this attuned to someone, this connected.

I kiss her again, my hands tangling in her hair, pulling her closer because I can't get enough. I'll never get enough of this woman. The night around us feels alive, every star, every breeze, adding to the magic of our union.

"Jasper," she whispers, her voice filled with contentment. "You feel so right."

I kiss the top of her head, my heart swelling with emotion. "More right than anything I've ever felt in my life."

I've never felt this close to anyone, this connected. With Lila by my side, I know we can face whatever comes next. I wouldn't want to face life alone, not after being here with her.

"Tell me something," she says after a while, her voice playful, breaking the silence.

"Anything," I reply, a smile tugging at my lips.

"What did you think when you first saw me?" Her eyes gleam with curiosity and mischief.

I chuckle, remembering that moment. "I thought you were the most captivating woman I'd ever seen. And I knew I was in trouble."

She laughs softly, the sound like music to my ears. "Trouble, huh? And now?"

"Now?" I pull her closer, my lips brushing against her ear. "Now I know you're the best kind of trouble."

She shivers at my words, her body responding to my touch. "You're not so bad yourself, Jasper. In fact, you're pretty amazing."

We fall into a comfortable silence, the night wrapping around us like a blanket. The sounds of the circus are distant now, a reminder of the world outside our little bubble of love.

I've faced a lot of challenges in my life, but nothing compares to the intensity of my feelings for Lila. She's become my anchor, my reason for fighting, and as we lie here under the stars, I know I'll do whatever it takes to keep her safe. I think for the first time she was right afterall, I can't regret where I came from because it led me right here, to her.

"Jasper," she says softly, her hand resting on my chest. "Promise me something."

"Always," I reply, my heart ready to give her whatever she asks.

"Promise me we'll face everything together. No more secrets, no more holding back."

I take her hand, pressing a kiss to her palm. "I promise, Lila. You and me. Always."

She smiles, her eyes shining with trust and love. "Always."

As we drift off to sleep under the stars, I hold Lila close, my heart filled with a sense of peace and purpose. The challenges ahead don't seem so daunting with her by my side. Together, we're unstoppable.
