Chapter Twenty-Two

Two days later, the Little Star reached the shores of Isla Solara.

The small population was waiting in the white sand, cheering and waving as the king and Taylor walked toward them.

"Wow! Everyone is excited to see you," Taylor said.

"No, my love. They're excited to see you ."

"Me?"

"Yes, honey. You're their queen. Or will officially be once we marry. Word has reached them, thanks to my security detail's texts and messages to their loved ones. And on an island this small, news travels fast."

"I'm…a queen?" Taylor asked, barely able to speak.

"But of course you are. You're marrying a king. A world leader!" He laughed slightly as he said it. "Speaking of." He stopped walking. Once Taylor had, too, he looked into her eyes and smiled. "I spoke with some of my contacts at the UN. They have jobs for all your foster siblings. Good jobs, too. It includes two spacious apartments—one for the young men to share and one for the young ladies. We're reaching out now with the details, but they'll be fine, little one."

Taylor squealed with excitement as she threw her arms around Daddy. "Thank you!"

"They're your family. Which means they're mine, too." He kissed her. "I love you, little one."

"I love you, too, Daddy. So much!"

He kissed her again before taking her hand and walking toward the awaiting crowd.

"Come, Queen Taylor. Let's meet the citizens of your nation."
