Chapter 25

CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

Lulu

My head turns, reading the Riverside State Park sign as we pass it. Washington is beautiful, what we’ve seen of it anyway. After pulling off the I-90, Ajax headed straight here as if he’s been before.

I glance over at the man next to me. The past few days with Ajax have been . . . different. Andrew was always quick to temper, but Ajax warns me before he doles out a punishment. Following orders has been easier than I thought and not unpleasant.

My pussy chooses that time to pulse, reminding me of what else he does often. I shift in my seat, suddenly very aware of the large hand resting on my thigh. Will my body ever not respond to him?

My chest tightens like it does every time I start to remember what he did and how we got here .

“How long are we staying?” I ask, anything to break the suddenly stifling silence.

“A day or so, the same as the other places. Why?”

“No reason.” I shrug.

Ajax frowns, his eyes leaving the road to glance at me.

“This is just new is all.”

“You’ll get used to it.” He smiles, squeezing my leg. “Besides, we’ll head home in a few weeks.”

I don’t point out that I no longer have a home. I made that mistake yesterday.

My mouth dries.

Returning his smile, I blink out of the front window, watching the beautiful scenery coming into view.

“You’ll like it in Wisconsin. We have a lot of land for the hunting business, but don’t worry; the house is secluded and nowhere near the guest accommodation. It’ll just be you, me, and Mary. For now, at least.” He grins, raising his hand to rest on my belly.

My stomach twists—with excitement or horror, I’m not sure. We’ve taken no preventive measures, and we’re having a lot of sex. If Mary is napping or gone to bed and Ajax isn’t driving, he’s inside me. Even being on the road doesn’t always stop him. I blush at the memory of him pulling to the side of the road on the edge of a small town. The curtain to the front seats was barely closed before he had me on all fours .

The arousal I felt just a few seconds ago ramps up. Ajax isn’t the only one with a problem.

“Lulu?” Mary calls from the living room.

“Yeah, baby?”

“Can we wear matching overalls today?”

“Absolutely.” I smile.

Ajax’s hand squeezes me again.

“They’re still ripped.”

“I’ll fix them.” I promise her. “At least I know what I’m doing today,” I tell her dad.

Ajax grins as he reverses the RV, parking in the back away from everyone else and close to the tree line, like always.

I watch a family across the way setting up camp and wonder if I should ask for a phone. What would happen to Mary if her dad got arrested? The thought breaks my heart.

“Don’t even think about it,” he whispers in my ear. “I’d kill them all, and we’d be gone before the police even got here.”

I swallow hard and turn to him, our eyes meeting. He means it. He’d kill everyone here to keep me. My chin quivers, and a tear breaks free, not because he’ll never let me go but because I want to be here.

The past few days with this family have been the happiest I’ve ever been. Every day I stay with Ajax, I hate my mother a little more. She did this. She made me need him, want him.

So I don’t fight when his lips touch mine. Instead, I lean in.

After all, no one has to know how much I want this, right?
