Synopsis
When my boss insists I run a team-building weekend in the mountains, I figure it’s just another chance to prove myself. But nothing prepares me for what we find. The lodge is falling apart, most of the amenities are out of order, and the owner?
Preston Wright—six and a half feet of growling, brooding mountain man—is as intimidating as the place itself.
When I barrel through his lobby and crash-land in his massive arms, I can’t tell if he’s annoyed by the whole world, or just by me. But then those piercing green eyes lock onto mine, like I’m the only thing keeping him grounded. Like I’m already his.
This grumpy mountain man is a whole lot more than I expected. Possessive, protective, and unexpectedly sweet. And I get the feeling he sees right through my cheery fa?ade to the real me underneath.
But there’s something wild about him, something he’s hiding beneath all that growling and glaring.
And even though I know I should be scared, I can’t stop wondering what would happen if he let me all the way in.
Grumpy, growly mountain man? Check. Sunshiny city girl? Check. Sparks hotter than a campfire cookout? Oh, absolutely. Get ready for a hilarious, heart-warming ride with a possessive beast and the human woman who stole his heart.
