Synopsis
Sam Walker traded her chalkboard and lesson plans for a beach and a bar, and she's never been happier. No more smart-mouthed junior high kids, no more pain-in-the-backside parents, and no more dreary snow days. Instead, Sam spends her mornings with a leisurely cup of coffee on her small private patio, sells wine and books for a living, and walks the beach whenever she chooses.
Who needs a man to be happy?
Roman Ewing retired young from his family practice. His adult kids have flown the coop, his ex-wife doesn't need him around anymore, and he's tired of long, cold winters in the Midwest. Roman's ready for a little RR, and where better to rest and relax but a beach town—Love Beach, to be exact.
Who needs love to enjoy life?
When Roman wanders into Book Barrel, he's interested in a glass of cabernet sauvignon and a good book. He finds more than he bargained for, starting with cool and carefree Sam Walker. Sparks might fly, but will either of them even notice since they're not looking for love?
