Chapter 31

It had taken a few days for Drew to get his health back in order. In all the years I'd known him, I'd never seen him get that sick. The girl with the soup visited almost daily, and after the first day, she got him out of his room and sitting on the couch.

The strangest part about Gabriella was that hiding that sort of relationship was nearly impossible in a town as tiny as Ocean Shores. It was a miracle Nathan and I had hidden things when we did. When I came out, most people had probably assumed it about us, anyway. With Gabriella being almost twenty-five years younger than Drew, that had to turn a few heads.

She was very sweet and would sit and watch TV with him while Max shoved in between them. They made an odd little family.

"Are you ready to head over to the house?"

I nodded to Nathan, sliding into the passenger seat of his car. My heart still did funny little flips thinking about the other day at the beach. It seemed like he was about to admit his lingering feelings for me. That he wanted to keep this going and make things official. And I was being stupid and selfish by not giving in. He'd been nothing but the perfect, doting boyfriend since the day I took him to the tree... without me letting him wear the title.

With Drew feeling better, it meant that we were back at work. Our workload had doubled since he hadn't been tracking his properties while he'd been down. While we liked to have fun and mess around on-site, there had been none of it the past couple of days. And when we got home in the evenings, we were both too exhausted to do anything else.

As the scenery passed by out the window, I reflected on our discussion about Nathan letting me fuck him one day. Did he mean that? Not that it was something I should've been thinking about on our way to work, but maybe if we discussed it, it would give us something to look forward to.

"Do you think this is what it's like for old married couples?"

Nathan laughed, looking my way for a moment and then back at the road. "What do you mean?"

"I just mean, I love sex. Like, loooove sex, but we've been too fucking tired to do it lately."

I scowled when Nathan laughed.

"It's not that funny." I pouted as I crossed my arms and sank into my seat.

"It is. Just a bit. I love how fucking horny you are all the time." Nathan's hand slid up my thigh, between my legs, cupping my dick, and squeezing it. When I looked over, he was biting his lip, but his eyes were still glued to the road.

My whole body warmed as my cock plumped beneath his touch. Him touching me like this while we were driving was different, but still exciting. There was no thinking about it when I unsnapped my pants and pulled down the zipper so his fingers could slip inside.

The smile on Nathan's face was absolutely wicked, and I loved it as his hand worked inside of my pants while he continued to drive. The bonus to these narrow roads was that we weren't at risk of anyone driving alongside us and seeing what we were up to. Not that it would have bothered me. It would have only added to the thrill.

Just the idea had me rock hard. My eyes rolled back, and I bucked into Nathan's grasp. "Fuck yes. Keep going." I panted as his grip tightened.

"That's my needy boy. Always so desperate for it."

That warmth spread through me again, and my toes curled when his thumb dug into my slit. He'd never made me feel weird about being uncut. It was the one thing I'd always been self-conscious about in school in a locker room full of guys who looked nothing like me. When Nathan pushed the foreskin back and played with my head, I rode out the waves of ecstasy that came with having the sensitive skin exposed.

I pushed my pants down below my ass, exposing myself to the open air of the car, shivering momentarily as the cool air conditioning hit my overheated skin.

"Fuck, baby. Look at you."

I loved it when Nate called me baby. And having my pants and underwear out of the way made it easier for him to jack me. Was it a little fucked up that this was all about me? Maybe. But there had been a few times I'd taken care of him without expecting anything in return.

We pulled into a driveway, and Nathan's hand sped up. The friction, although rough, felt amazing even without lube. I was so frustrated from the last few days that it wasn't going to take much more to shove me over the edge.

"Does it feel good? I bet you love being on display like this, don't you? You'd love it if someone came by and saw you all blissed out while I played with your beautiful cock. Fuck, Chase."

Nate understood. He knew how to hit all those pleasure points and what words to say to get me there and I came, shouting. My cum spilled over his fingers and sprayed against the dash. I panted as I came down from the high and turned to face the man who had managed to blow my mind with just a little hand job.

Nathan's mouth crashed down on mine, and my fingers tangled in his hair. Over the month and a half that he'd been here, it had gotten so much longer and I absolutely loved it. I was turning him into a beach bum like me.

When we finally calmed down enough, I found some old napkins and wiped down before stuffing my dick back into my pants. We exited the car and entered the house. There was a little extra pep in my step now that I'd gotten off within the last few minutes. It had felt damn good.

Nathan unlocked the house, and we both froze when we entered. Maybe it had been a good thing that we'd had our fun in the car because the house had definitely had some partiers for renters and we had a giant mess to clean up.

Itossed the last garbage bag onto the curb and glared at the enormous pile of them. Normally, a clean-up resulted in maybe five or six bags. Not thirty. The sheer amount of beer bottles and soda cans had been stupid. I'd be thankful if I never had to clean up that many used condoms ever again. It was always a hazard of the job, but most had been tossed into the trash cans and didn't require me to pull them off of a lamp or other surfaces.

"I think we have a problem..."

I turned as Nathan came out of the house. He looked unsure, holding up his phone.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, since I've been cleaning these houses with you... I don't think I've seen this. Do we call someone?"

Now he had my attention and when he held out his phone to show me the picture, my heart sank. The hypodermic needles were hard to mistake. You could always assume that someone was on insulin, but the way the house had been destroyed for a party, it wasn't likely.

"I've only come across it once. I called Drew, and he handled it. Maybe we need to do the same thing again?"

Nathan nodded and called his uncle. The last time this had happened, Drew told me not to touch the needles or anything around them. I wasn't stupid, but it sucked that people took advantage of other people's properties like this. It was in the agreement when you rented the houses that drugs weren't allowed. Even though weed was legal in Washington state, Drew didn't even allow that on his premises.

When Nathan came back a few minutes later, he was stuffing his phone back into his pocket. "Uncle Drew says to lock up the house and that he'll take care of the rest of it. He's pissed."

"I don't blame him."

I went inside and grabbed the rest of my supplies before slipping back outside just as Drew's truck pulled up. He slammed the door as he got out and marched up to both Nathan and me. "I thought I said to get away from this house."

I stared at Drew. He'd never once yelled at me. "You did. I was just getting the supplies so we could move on to the next place."

He deflated for a moment before turning to his nephew and holding his hands out for the keys. Nathan handed them over and we rushed to Nathan's car just as a police car pulled up behind Drew's truck.

Maybe he didn't want us to be here in case the cops thought we were involved somehow, but everyone knew that I was only the guy who was hired to clean the houses. Something weird had to be going on there.

We didn't need to hang around to find out, and when Nathan and I climbed into his car, he pulled away from the house.

"That was weird, right?"

I laughed because at least I wasn't alone. "It was really fucking weird."

The next house wasn't anywhere close to bad. It was the standard turnover. Same with the one after it. By the time we got back to Drew's house that evening, my feet were lead. I could barely drag my body through the front door.

Gabriella was cooking something in the kitchen. It was strange how she'd become such a staple in Drew's house over the last few days. "Come on in, boys. I've got dinner going. It's Thai chicken and curry noodles. I hope that sounds okay."

My mouth watered because none of us knew how to make anything special.

Drew came out of the bathroom, wiping his hands on his jeans. Gabriella scowled at him. He grinned, grabbed a bottle of beer from the fridge, and plopped back into a chair at the dining table. It was the first time I noticed it was actually set. There were plates, glasses, and utensils. Another strange sight for Drew's home. We normally just helped ourselves and sat at the kitchen island.

Gabriella stood with her hands on her hips and then rolled her eyes. "Why don't you guys have a seat? I'll bring you something to drink. Dinner is just about ready."

"We're okay getting it ourselves, but thank you," I said, heading in the direction of the fridge before she shooed me toward the table.

"No, you don't. Sit. I'll take care of you all."
