Chapter 9

C in gazed up at Kristen from between her thighs. Damn, the woman even came beautifully. Her body rolled like a belly dancer, her legs parting farther apart each time as though begging Cin for more.
Kristen's fingers were still tangled in Cin's hair, her grip alternately tightening and loosening as the aftershocks rippled through her. Cin stroked Kristen's hips, murmuring soft words of praise and encouragement. She couldn't tear her eyes away from the sight of Kristen coming undone, so open and unguarded in her pleasure.
When Kristen's trembling finally eased, Cin kissed her way back up her body. She settled in next to Kristen and pulled her close, wrapping her arms around Kristen's waist.
"Was that okay?" Cin asked, a teasing lilt to her voice. She already knew the answer, but she wanted to hear Kristen say it.
Kristen let out a breathy laugh. "Okay? That was...I don't even know. Amazing. Incredible." She propped herself up on one elbow to look at Cin, eyes shining.
"It was my pleasure," Cin said. She stroked Kristen's cheek, gazing at her with a tenderness that made her heart ache.
"I'm pretty sure it was mine."
"You're exquisite when you come. Did you know that?"
A pretty blush spread across Kristen's cheeks. "I didn't know it could feel like that."
"There's more where that came from," Cin promised. She wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of the night showing Kristen all the pleasures her body was capable of.
"Would you like me to return the favor?" Kristen asked. Her voice was hesitant, in the way past lovers who just wanted to be pillow princesses who got to lie back while Cin did all the work. What Cin heard in Kristen's voice was an acknowledgement of ignorance of how to please her. Funnily enough, that was what pleased her: that Kristen wanted an education.
"I'm not finished making you come."
Kristen's eyes widened. "Again? I don't know if I can."
Cin chuckled. She traced a fingertip down Kristen's arm, feeling a surge of warmth at the anticipation in Kristen's gaze. "Want me to see if I can make you come again, darling?"
"Yes, please."
Cin stood, acutely aware of Kristen's gaze following her every movement. Slowly, she undressed. Just as much as she liked dressing herself in eye-catching fashions, Cin loved having her nude form admired. She'd never been one to hate her body, not once she learned how much pleasure it could give and receive.
She smiled to herself, standing taller and adding an extra sway to her hips as she stepped out of the pile of clothing and sauntered toward Kristen. Cin was made of soft curves and full breasts. She tugged Kristen up, moving them to the couch. Once there, Cin climbed over Kristen, bracing her hands on either side of Kristen's head. She lowered herself until their bodies pressed together, skin on skin, and captured Kristen's mouth in a piercing kiss.
Kristen moaned into the kiss. Her hands came up to grasp at Cin's back. Cin separated Kristen's legs, spreading them apart again. But this time, she climbed over Kristen until their legs pretzeled around each other and their groins met at the center.
Kristen gave a gasp and then a moan as hot, soft flesh met hot, soft flesh. Cin rocked her hips, rubbing against Kristen in a slow grind that made them both gasp.
"Feel good, darling?"
Kristen could only nod, eyes closed and mouth open as she panted for breath. Cin smiled, increasing the pressure and speed of her movements until Kristen was writhing beneath her. She moved against Kristen again and again, setting up a rhythm of thrust and slide that quickly drove them both to the edge of climax. But not over it. Not yet.
Kristen lifted her head, finding Cin's mouth in a passionate kiss. Cin groaned into it, her movements becoming jerky and uncontrolled as pleasure mounted inside her. When Kristen tensed beneath her with a choked cry, it was enough to send Cin tumbling into bliss after her. They held each other tight, shivering through the aftershocks and exchanging lazy, sated kisses.
The flickering glow of the fireplace cast gentle shadows across the walls. Cin lay beside Kristen, their legs still tangled up in each other. The warmth of their shared body heat was a comforting presence against the cool winter night.
Soon Kristen fell into a deep, contented sleep, her breathing slow and even. Cin propped herself up on one elbow, her gaze fixed on the woman lying next to her. Kristen's face was serene, a faint smile curving her lips, and Cin felt a surge of tenderness. She reached out, running her fingers gently through Kristen's hair, marveling at the silky texture.
The room was silent except for the crackling of the fire and the occasional rustle of the sheet Cin spread over them. Kristen shifted slightly, unconsciously leaning into Cin's touch. Even in sleep, Kristen was responsive and eager to please, a trait that had shone through so vividly during their time together. Cin's heart swelled with emotion as she watched her, the realization settling over her like a warm blanket—she was in love with Kristen.
Cin's fingers traced the delicate lines of Kristen's face, committing every detail to memory. The curve of her cheek, the flutter of her lashes, the softness of her lips. It was in these quiet moments that Cin felt the depth of her feelings most acutely. She wasn't surprised to find herself in love. It had been happening slowly over months. Kristen was everything she had ever wanted in a partner—submissive, eager to please, and incredibly responsive.
But with that love came a gnawing fear. Kristen had been into men until just this morning. There was no guarantee that Kristen wouldn't see this as an experimental phase and eventually return to dating men. The thought of losing her, of opening her heart only to have it broken, was almost too much for Cin to bear.
Her chest tightened with a mix of love and fear, the emotions warring within her. She knew she had to protect herself, even if it meant making a painful decision. As much as she wanted to believe in the possibility of a future with Kristen, the uncertainty was too great.
Taking a deep breath, Cin leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on Kristen's forehead. Kristen stirred slightly but didn't wake, her smile deepening in her sleep. Cin's heart ached at the sight, knowing that this might be one of the last moments they shared like this.
With a heavy heart, Cin carefully disentangled herself from Kristen. She moved quietly, not wanting to disturb Kristen's peaceful slumber. As she dressed, the cool air of the room sent a shiver down her spine, contrasting sharply with the warmth she had just left behind.
Cin paused at the door, looking back one last time. Kristen lay there, bathed in the soft glow of the firelight, looking utterly beautiful and content. Cin's resolve wavered, but she knew what she had to do. She couldn't risk her heart, not again.
