20. Jacob
MONTHS LATER
" J acob… Jacob…"
Leo was turned away from me, shamelessly riding my cock as I sat in his office chair. He was in between sending emails, but I'd successfully distracted him by ordering him to bend over his desk and let me eat him out. One thing led to another, and now, my favorite person in the world was taking my cock like a pro, like his body was made just for mine.
"Fuck, Leo. You feel so fucking good. Don't you fucking stop—" My words were cut off by Leo's phone ringing on his office table.
"Shit. I need to take this." Leo scrambled away from me, as he reached for his phone, pulling it up to his ear.
"You're going to pay for that later," I mouthed over at him, with a grin, as I pulled my pants back up to my waist.
Leo playfully rolled his eyes as he pulled his pants up, too, his ear still close to his phone. "Hello? Hello? Wait. I can't—it sounds like you're in the middle of a concert or something?—"
Leo paused for a moment; his face scrunched up in confusion. "You want me to video call with you?"
He shrugged before doing what he was told, turning the phone call into a video call. A few seconds later, four familiar faces popped up as Chris, Andrew, Diego, and Keith appeared on the screen. It looked like they were at a soccer match, maybe even the finals, with a large crowd cheering behind them.
"A-ha! I knew it!" Keith pointed at me through the camera. "I knew you two were going to make it!"
"Fifty quid! Everyone owes me fifty quid!" Chris chimed into the conversation. "Fuck yeah! Love wins!"
"Where are we supposed to get quid? Is there an exchange machine around here?" Andrew looked from left and right. "How about I just give you $75 American and we call it even?"
"I can't believe it! Can you guys believe it?!" Diego gave us an excited wave. "It's like watching a love story come true in real time. And we were there! We were part of this!"
"I don't know about you guys, but I was rooting for them, all along," Keith said, and as soon as the words came out of his mouth, the rest of the guys loudly booed.
"Whatever! Everyone has their own truths!" Keith defended himself, just as Diego roughly nudged him in the shoulder. "Anyway, congrats on your wedding, guys. We just wanted to call and say that?—"
"Wait. What?" I looked over at Leo before looking back at the phone. "What wedding are you all talking about?"
"Uh, I think I know what happened." Leo let out an awkward laugh. "I'm guessing one of you has been following my updates online? And you noticed that post that said I was shopping for a wedding?" Leo's cheeks burned red as he went on. "Yeah, I was actually shopping to be Jacob's plus-one for his best friend's wedding. Not our wedding. I probably should've posted that with more context."
"Not yet anyway!" Diego playfully winked before he shrugged. "Still, hope you two have fun at the wedding!"
"And keep us posted for when it's your turn! But don't send me one of those online invitations. It's tacky. Send me an invite in the mail!" Andrew instructed.
"Bye! We need to get back to the match! Things are just getting heated!" Chris waved, and the rest of the guys waved along with him before they ended the video call.
"Can you believe it? One week snowed in together and it's like we all went to summer camp," Leo joked as he set his phone back down on his desk. "Now, where were we?"
"Did you really forget to add the context to those wedding posts?"
"What?"
"I'm just wondering," I said, trying to sound as innocent as possible. "If there was something else you had on your mind."
"Who's to say?" Leo seemed to be feigning innocence, too. He then looked me up and down, like there was something else on his mind. "Shit."
"Shit, what?"
"Shit, we should probably start getting ready for Parker's wedding. Didn't he want the guys in the wedding party to show up a few hours early?" Leo sighed. "Even though, I would love to finish off where we started a few minutes ago."
"Me, too." I smirked as I stood up from his office chair. "But there's always later tonight."
"One of the benefits of moving in together." Leo smiled as he pressed a quick kiss against my lips. "Seriously, though. We need to get a move on or we're going to be in serious trouble with the groom."
It was almost dusk by the time we got to the venue, which was exactly what Parker and Nicholas had wanted.
They were hosting their wedding at one of the Wild Woods approved sites, a gorgeous cabin settled among the trees. They'd decorated the place with twinkling lights, hanging off various branches, blinking as the sun went down. They'd also added a temporary dance floor behind the cabin, complete with a small space for a band set-up. There was also a fully stocked bar, complete with beer and wine, with a chalkboard resting right next to it that read:
Parker and Nicholas: Two Hearts As One
"Who knew Parker could be so sentimental?" I said, mostly to myself, a warm smile coming to my face. It was nice seeing him express himself like that, being open and honest about who he loved and who he wanted. Parker was known for using humor to brush off how he was really feeling, so it was kind of refreshing to see so much earnest emotion all around me.
"Good! You're finally here!" Parker hastily pulled me aside. "How do I look? Is the tie too much? If the tie is too much, I think I have a backup around here somewhere?—"
"Parker. You look perfect." I grabbed onto his shoulders, trying to keep him from freaking out any further. "Nicholas is going to be blown away."
"Right. Yeah. Nicholas." Parker let out a nervous laugh. "This would be kind of the best time, and the worst time, for him to realize that he doesn't actually want to do this. In a way, it'd be a blessing if he ran away right now, even though it'd also be devastating?—"
"You're spiraling, Parker."
"Am I spiraling? Or is everyone here just way too fucking calm?" Parker brought a hand to the side of his head.
"It's the first thing. Trust me."
"Fine. Okay. Sure." Parker took a deep breath as he brought his hand back down to his side. "Sorry for freaking out. I think it's just hitting me that this is it. Like, this is the biggest thing I've ever done."
"But you're happy to do it, right?"
"Are you kidding me? I'm fucking honored to be marrying Nicholas." Parker laughed, this time a lot more sincerely. "This is going to be the best day of my life. Assuming we avoid all disasters."
"In that case, let's avoid all disasters."
"Easy as pie." Parker laughed again before his expression turned serious. "Hey. Quick question."
"Yeah?"
"You are going to marry Leo, aren't you?" Parker quirked an eyebrow. "Because if you don't, someone else is going to swoop in before you know it. He's a catch, Jacob. Don't try to play games here."
"Who said anything about playing games?" I playfully scoffed. "You ever think that the rest of us were holding off on wedding planning because we were waiting on you and Nicholas to get through your wedding first?"
"How very kind of you." Parker smirked before he started to walk away, motioning for me to follow behind him. "Come on. It's time for pictures. If we're late, Nicholas is going to hold it against us forever."
"I do."
"I do."
The people in attendance at the outdoor wedding roared with applause as Parker and Nicholas leaned in for their big kiss. Leo was standing in the row right in front of me, trying to discreetly wipe away a few tears in his eyes. Even Damon seemed like he was getting choked up by the ceremony, sniffling a time or two as he stood by my side.
It didn't take long for the ceremony to shift into party mode as everyone headed to the reception area inside the cabin. Once we were inside, the place was overflowing with hearty Virginian food, chicken and potatoes, seafood that made my mouth water with its buttery scent. Leo and I filled up our plates before we took a seat at the main table with Parker and Nicholas, both of them totally engrossed in each other.
Sam and Damon sat next to them, with Sam smiling as he fixed Damon's tie, right before pressing a kiss against his temple. As soon as we sat down, Sam turned his attention toward us, his face still bright with a smile.
"You two! Are you coming to our engagement party or what?" Sam pressed. "Don't make me hunt you down because I will."
"He will. He's not kidding," Damon added, leaning back in his seat. "He can find anyone, anywhere. He should really be using his talents for the FBI."
"Of course, we're coming to your engagement party," I replied. "But does an engagement party mean that you two have finally locked down a date for the big day?"
"We did. But we weren't going to send out wedding invitations until we got to celebrate Parker and Nicholas on their big day," Sam replied as he nodded over at the happy couple. "It just seemed rude to take any attention away from their ceremony."
"Wait, Sam." Damon held up a hand. "Maybe we need to consult with Leo and Jacob about the wedding date? Just so we don't end up having the same one?"
"I don't—um—" Leo started, his cheeks turning red as he spoke.
"How about that promotion you got up in Roanoke, Leo?" Sam added, obviously trying to change the subject. "Is that working out well for you?"
"It's working out perfectly!" Leo happily latched onto the subject change.
"So, you're liking Roanoke?"
"I'm loving it." Leo nodded. "And it's not just the job, even though that has great perks, and a lot of flexibility so I can travel whenever I want. It's also the people? I don't know. There's just something about this city. It makes me feel like I'm at home."
"I know exactly what you mean," Sam replied, as he looked over at Damon. "Once you get here, it's like, you never want to leave again."
"Plus, that place you and Jacob got for yourself was a total steal," Parker said, with a wide grin. "Seriously. You should invite me over more often."
"Why? So, you can rummage through our kitchen and help yourself?" I joked.
"Hey! That only happened once?—"
"Twice—"
"Twice!" Parker broke into a laugh. "And all I did was make myself a sandwich. There's no way you can be that greedy when it comes to bread and deli meats."
"Parker, what have we said about eating food out of other people's refrigerators?" Nicholas' tone was gentle and sweet.
"They're my brothers! They don't count! Legally, I'm allowed to raid their fridge!"
"I agree with Parker. If you're close enough with someone, all bets are off when it comes to the fridge." Sam shrugged. "What are we supposed to do? Starve?"
"It's the principle of the thing—" Damon started, but I didn't get a chance to hear the rest of his sentence, now distracted by Leo subtly nudging me in my arm.
"You know," he whispered, "I thought that time when we first went out to dinner together and they got into that fight over the breadsticks, that was sort of a one-off thing."
"Absolutely not," I whispered back. "They can argue about anything and literally everything. But they don't mean anything by it. I promise."
"I know." Leo smiled up at me. "It's sweet. It's…"
"Family."
"Family." Leo leaned against me even further, watching the scene unfold in front of us. I leaned my head on top of his own, as my brothers went back and forth, their food going cold as they got lost in one of the silliest disagreements known to man. I then snuck another look down at Leo, my heart racing as a question appeared in the back of my throat, threatening to make its way out of my mouth if I didn't do something about it soon.
Leo Sullivan, will you marry me? Will you be a part of my family, too?
Thankfully, I was able to make it through the rest of dinner without popping the question, especially since it would've been beyond faux pas to propose to a wedding date while at someone else's wedding. Instead, Leo and I finished the rest of our dinner, stuffing ourselves with stomach-warming food and taking small bites of cake for dessert.
Soon enough the wedding guests filed toward the dance floor, getting to shift gears. I offered my hand to Leo as we headed out to the dance floor, too, not stopping until we were standing underneath a wave of string lights. Leo's eyes seemed like they were sparkling whenever the light hit them, each time hitting me right in the chest with how beautiful he looked tonight.
Just then, a slow song started to play over the speakers, and Leo moved closer.
"May I have this dance?" He lightly laughed as he wrapped his arms around me, his hips rhythmically swaying from side to side. "This whole thing is kind of magical, isn't it? The lights. The stars."
I looked up at the night sky, now seeing that the stars were out in full effect, constellations dazzling through the darkness. "Huh. I hadn't even noticed how beautiful the sky was tonight."
"Really?"
"Really." I looked back down at Leo. "Honestly, I don't think I've looked up all night."
"Why?"
"Because I think I've spent the whole night looking at you," I admitted, with a small smile. "You're the most beautiful thing I've seen all night, Leo. I guess I just didn't feel the need to look anywhere else."
"There you go again."
"There I go again?"
"Being the most romantic person in the whole world." Leo softly sighed. "You're ruining me for other people. You know that, right? There's no way I'm going to be able to be with anyone after you. My standards are going to be way too high."
"Who said anything about you being with anyone else?" I placed my hands on Leo's waist as I swayed along with him to the music. "I feel like I've made it clear that I want you all to myself, Leo."
"Forever?" Leo whispered the phrase.
"Forever." I bent down to kiss him, just as the chorus started, our bodies pressed perfectly together. I was proud of myself for not full-on proposing and stepping on Parker's toes, even though the thought of being with Leo for the rest of my life was beyond tempting.
Fuck it.
No one said anything about not proposing the day after someone else's wedding. I could wait another day to pop the question to Leo, but the thought of going another day after that, without promising my forever to the man I was so madly in love with? It just wasn't going to happen.
Because Leo was mine. And I was his.
And I was ready for the whole world to know it.
