Chapter Five
Angel
The air between us was thick with tension, crackling like the moments before a storm. Drago's eyes were locked on mine, dark and burning, filled with something raw and dangerous. My heart raced as his hand cupped my cheek, his thumb brushing lightly across my skin as if he were trying to memorize the feeling of it. The fire in him was rising, and I could feel it—an undeniable pull that made the air almost impossible to breathe.
His lips hovered over mine, so close I could feel his breath mingling with mine, and my whole body trembled in anticipation. The kiss we had shared moments ago still lingered on my lips, a taste of something that I knew I shouldn't want but craved all the same. The tension between us had only grown, spiraling out of control, and I wasn't sure how much longer I could fight it.
Drago's hand slid down to my neck, his fingers tightening slightly as if he was holding back the flood of emotions coursing through him. His chest rose and fell with heavy breaths, his body radiating heat. He wanted me. I could see it in his eyes, feel it in the way his hands held me like he was barely keeping himself in check.
"I can't," he growled, his voice low and rough. His gaze was intense, searching mine as if trying to find the strength to pull away. "Angel, you need to leave. Now. Before I lose control."
His words struck me like a blow, and for a moment, I just stood there, frozen. I could see the internal battle he was fighting, the way his darkness was clawing to the surface, desperate to consume me. But I wasn't afraid. I wasn't afraid of him, of the demon inside him. I had felt its power, and somewhere deep inside, I knew that I could meet it with my own.
Still, I hesitated. His hand slid from my neck, his fingers brushing my collarbone as he let go, stepping back as if forcing himself to create distance between us. "Go," he repeated, his voice thick with restraint.
I swallowed hard, the intensity of the moment almost unbearable. But I nodded, my feet moving before I could think. I turned and rushed out of his office, my breath coming in ragged gasps as I fled down the hall, away from the heat of his gaze, away from the fire that threatened to consume us both.
By the time I reached the bedroom suite, my heart was pounding, my mind racing. I closed the door behind me, leaning against it as I tried to catch a breath. My skin still tingled where he had touched me, and the fire that had ignited between us refused to die down.
I pressed a hand to my chest, trying to calm the storm inside me, but it was no use. The hunger I felt for him, the need that had taken root deep inside me, was impossible to ignore. I had felt it from the moment I met him—that pull, that undeniable connection. And now it was stronger than ever.
I walked to the mirror, staring at my reflection. My cheeks were flushed, my lips swollen from the kiss we had shared. My hands shook as I brushed a strand of hair behind my ear, trying to make sense of the whirlwind of emotions coursing through me.
He was dangerous…I knew that…But I couldn't deny the truth that had been growing inside me since the moment I had stepped into his world: Drago was my fated mate.
The realization hit me like a bolt of lightning, so sudden and powerful that it almost knocked the breath from my lungs. He wasn't just the man who had taken me, who had brought me into this dark world. He was already a part of me.
I tried to ignore the heat building inside me, tried to convince myself that I should stay in my room, lock the door, and let the fire burn itself out. But it was impossible. The pull between us was too strong, too undeniable. It was as if some invisible force was guiding me, pushing me toward him, and before I could think twice, I was out the door, my feet carrying me down the long corridor toward his room.
I didn't even knock. I couldn't. My body moved on instinct, driven by something primal, something that went beyond rational thought. When I pushed open the door to his master bedroom, my breath caught in my throat.
Drago was there, standing at the foot of his bed, his shirt unbuttoned, his chest bare. His muscles gleamed in the low light, and the raw power he radiated was overwhelming. He hadn't heard me come in—his head was tilted back slightly, his eyes half-closed as he ran a hand down his chest, his breathing heavy.
I froze in the doorway, my eyes widening as I realized what he was doing. The sight of him, lost in the heat of his own need, was both shocking and mesmerizing. My heart pounded, a mixture of desire and something deeper stirring within me.
When he finally sensed I was there, Drago looked up, and his eyes met mine. For a moment, neither of us moved. The air between us was electric, crackling with unspoken desire. His gaze darkened, the fire in his eyes unmistakable, and without a word, he crossed the room in two swift strides, grabbing me by the waist and pulling me to him.
"Angel," he growled, his voice low and rough. His hands gripped my hips, his fingers digging into the fabric of my dress as if he was barely holding himself back. "You shouldn't have come."
But I couldn't stop now. I didn't want to. "I couldn't stay away," I whispered, my voice trembling with the force of my emotions. "I don't want to stay away."
His response was immediate. His hands slid up my sides, grabbing the thin straps of my dress and tearing them away with a single, fluid motion. The fabric pooled at my feet, leaving me exposed in a way that I had never been before. But I didn't feel vulnerable. I felt powerful. Revered and desired. Slowly, I reached behind my back and unhooked my bra, letting it slip down my arms to reveal my breasts.
His gaze raked over me, dark and possessive, and I shivered under the weight of it. Then his lips were on mine again, fierce and demanding, and I melted into him, my body arching toward his as the fire between us ignited into a full-blown inferno. His hands roamed my body, rough and urgent, as if he couldn't get enough of me, and I welcomed every touch, every stroke.
He lifted me effortlessly, carrying me to the bed and laying me down with a gentleness that contradicted the intensity of the moment. But the softness didn't last. After removing the rest of his clothing, he joined me on the bed, quickly curling his fingers beneath the edge of my lace panties and sliding them off my legs. The moment I was finally beneath him, both of us laid bare to the other, his control shattered, and he was all heat…devouring fire. He bent his head to my left breast and took my nipple in his mouth, teasing it with his tongue.
The sensation made my breath hitch, and I felt myself getting wetter by the second. He moved his head lower, running his tongue down my stomach and abdomen, leaving a trail of heat in its wake.
I could feel his darkness mingled with my light, creating something fierce and unstoppable. The air around us crackled and shimmered with power, a tangible force that pulled us together, binding us in ways that went beyond the physical.
"Angel," he murmured, his hands gripping my thighs, spreading me open for him. "I'm going to destroy you."
I sucked in my breath. "Not if I destroy you first."
With a growl, he shoved his face into my pussy, already slick with need. The moment his tongue met the sensitive flesh at my core, I gasped, a jolt of pleasure shooting through me. I threaded my fingers through his hair, guiding him, urging him on without words as my back arched off the soft bedding. He found a rhythm that had my toes curling, his tongue working magic that had only existed in my fantasies until now.
"God, yes," I moaned, the sound muffled by the pounding of my own heartbeat in my ears.
Drago groaned against me, the vibration sending another wave of pleasure rippling through my body. His movements became more insistent, more demanding, and I felt myself spiraling towards a release that had been building since the moment he kissed me.
"Drago." His name escaped me in a breathy whisper, a prayer for more, for everything he had to give. And he delivered, his tongue and lips coaxing me over the edge into an orgasm that shattered my world, leaving me floating in a sea of white-hot bliss.
As I came back down, panting and spent, I sank deeper into the bed, my legs still wide open, welcoming him to take what was left of me. In the flickering candlelight, I watched him, and knew that no matter what happened next, this moment was etched into my soul forever.
Drago slipped a finger effortlessly inside me, then another, as if they always meant to be there. My wetness welcomed him back with ease. I could only manage a nod, my mind whirling in the whirlpool of desire he was again stirring within me.
"I love your sweet, innocent little pussy," he murmured, his stubble rough against my skin.
I reached for him, and he hovered his body over me so I could grab his thick cock. I began to stroke its length, running a fingertip over the top, causing him to moan with pleasure.
"Fuck me, Drago," I whispered.
With a growl, he pushed into me, and it felt as if he was tearing me open. But I didn't pull away, enjoying the way his fingers dug even harder into my hips, holding me still, while he thrust deeper still, filling me completely, stretching me in ways I'd never known possible. Any protest died in my throat, morphing into a breathless gasp instead.
"You really are an angel," he whispered, our bodies melding into a rhythm that seemed as natural as breathing, as necessary as the frantic beat of my heart. I spiraled up and up until I was nothing but sensation, raw and unfiltered. I climaxed again, the force hitting me like a storm breaking against the shore, leaving me shattered in its wake.
"You're so beautifully perfect," Drago groaned, his voice thick with lust. His movements became erratic, driven by need as much as desire. "I'm going to make you mine, Angel."
His words frayed into nothingness as he drove into me one final time, his body tensing as he reached his own release. I felt him pulse inside me, hot and insistent, and a part of me knew this would change everything.
He gasped, his breath ragged against my ear as he locked me beneath him with a strength that left no room for denial.
"I'm already yours," I said, my heart hammering in my chest as he emptied himself into my core, claiming me in a way that was both fierce and tender. The world around us faded into oblivion, and then all that was left was the two of us, intertwined, our souls and bodies collapsing in the aftermath of our firestorm of passion.
I felt the light inside me flare brighter, intertwining with his shadows, pulling them in, softening the edges of his darkness. And in turn, his fire washed over me, filling me with a heat that left me trembling.
We weren't just two people caught in a whirlwind of desire. We were something more, something ancient and powerful, bound together by forces neither of us could fully understand. Angel and demon, light and dark, heaven and hell.
When the storm finally passed, we lay tangled in each other's arms, our breathing ragged, our bodies still humming with the remnants of the energy we had unleashed. I could feel the weight of what had just happened, the shift in the air around us, as if the world itself had acknowledged the bond we had formed.
Drago's hand slid up my back, his touch gentle now, almost reverent, as he pulled me closer to him. "I will make you my bride," he whispered, his voice soft but firm. "For eternity."
"Yes," I whispered, pressing my lips to his, sealing my promise.
Then I closed my eyes, resting my head against his chest as the truth of his words settled over me.
He was right. We were bound together now, in ways that went beyond the physical, beyond the mortal world. Our fates were intertwined, two souls connected by light and darkness, fire and shadow.
And there was no going back.
