Chapter Six

The heat from his breath against my cheek sends delightful chills coursing down my body. I want to give in to anything he demands, surrendering to all temptation. "Tell me you're mine." His deep, commanding voice almost has me giving in, but I can't because whatever this is, it won't last, and it won't change my future. I can't be his even if I want to.

Damiano is a nightclub owner with one thing on his mind, and that's getting me in his arms—and I need that too. His hand cups the back of my head, caressing me so tenderly that I fight off the moan caught in my throat and find my voice.

"I'm not yours. I'm getting married in two days." My words hit him like a slap in the face, and he's clearly pissed. Although I'm not afraid of him like I am of my stepfather or even of Tommy, I still don't want to upset this handsome stranger. I want to belong to him in ways neither of us can comprehend. We've only just met, and he's better than the devils I already know because his touch, his gaze, draws me in.

He chuckles. "You're cute. I almost believe that you believe what you're saying."

"I do," I huff weakly, trying to push off him. My body shifts just enough to rub my ass on his lap, grinding his thick length on my bottom, widening my eyes at the surprise. He's massive everywhere.

"Stella, don't lie to either of us because it's not going to do us any good. You're wasting your precious evening out, denying what we both want." He brushes his nose up and down my throat. "Tell me you don't want me to please you."

"I…I…"

My skin burns as his fingers trail down my arms, caressing my flesh.

"I want you to please me, but only for tonight." His room darkens and his eyes brighten, and I'm terrified of how much I want him. We are polar opposites in all ways, from his dark features to his devilish charms and expensive everything. I am nothing in comparison and yet, I can't deny the attraction.

"Surrender to the devil, little angel," he commands ever so subtly, and I do.

"Yes," I breathe out, parting my lips as he trails his mouth along my throat.
