Kimera Epilogue- Three Months Later
Since our return from Louisiana, so much has happened. Thankfully, it was all good. The day after Paden was dispatched, Spawn and I went to see Sonny and Claudia. We didn’t give them details or outright say he was dead, but they knew he was gone. She was as relieved as I was. The Highwaymen took care of disposing of Paden. While his death was cringe-worthy, I meant what I told Spawn. He deserved it.
When we returned, he didn’t waste time presenting me with my property cut. The thrill it gave me to have it and see Property of Spawn shocked me. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw my club name he chose. I was worried it would say Hotcake, but instead, he put She-Wolf. I loved it. Hotcake was my special name, like Studcake was his. Then, to make it even better, he presented me with an engagement ring a week later.
If he had his way, we would’ve been married the following week, but I told him we couldn’t get married before Troian and Lash. Thankfully, they got married at the beginning of February. I was able to convince him to let everyone have a small breather. Our wedding was set for May sixteenth. Theirs was wonderful, and I got the opportunity to meet most of the people from the other clubs I had heard so much about. It had been a huge event, and it seemed ours would be too. I found that bikers loved any chance to party.
Spawn and his hacker posse, as I called them, worked quickly and not only drained Paden’s money away but also his parents. The last I heard, they were living in a one-bedroom apartment in a crappy neighborhood. Their money, investments, and everything else had gone bad, and they had no clue why or how. The small part of me that might have felt bad for them didn’t in the end. Why? Because the posse discovered Paden had done what he did to us to three of the five girls before me. They were the recipients of a secret benefactor who gave them money. It wouldn’t make up for what he did, but it was something. The rest went to a couple of foster care programs.
Another thing Spawn did, which was all for me, was he tracked down my parents and told me what the deal was with them. At first, I wasn’t sure I wanted to know, but the more I thought about it, the more I needed to know. It seemed they had both been flighty people who didn’t work, always were on public assistance but wasted their money on drugs and alcohol. They even were known to sell drugs to pay for their vices. Having a child cramped their style. After they gave me to Granny, they left Lake Charles for another part of Louisiana. They died from overdoses a few years later and only a couple of months apart. What a sad ending.
Even though I made it back in time to keep my job, I didn’t stay long. Not long after my return, Alisse told me Dr. Simpson was hiring more staff. Her partner was starting in the new year. My interview went well, and I think she liked me too because of my association with Alisse and Chey. I was offered a job the next day, which I happily took. I loved working with everyone there, especially Cheyenne and Alisse. It wasn’t as hectic as surgical recovery could be, but I enjoyed it. It left me more time to spend with Spawn, my new Punisher family, and Toro. Speaking of Toro, he was loving life. He was free to run and explore every day and had so many more adoring fans. He never lacked attention.
Right after we returned, the club brought on not one or two but three new prospects. Their names were Dekian, Trigg, and Knox. I wasn’t sure yet if they’d make the cut, but so far, they seemed to be doing okay. The club wanted to make sure Rhaines had time to teach them the ropes before he was patched in. Of course, they didn’t tell him that. They were terrible to him and kept hinting that the new prospects were needed since he was to be kicked out. The poor man almost killed himself trying to show them he was Punisher material. In the end, they patched him in, thank God. They decided to play off his name when they gave him his road name. His name was now Hail. I liked it, and he seemed to as well.
As I watched the guys, especially Hail, run the prospects ragged tonight, I had to laugh. I was so glad to become an old lady. We didn’t have to go through a year-long audition. I didn’t know if I could’ve stood it. Movement caught my eye. Turning further to the right, I saw Spawn coming toward me. He had an intense, passionate expression on his face. My body lit up instantly. I knew that look. He was about to take me home and make love to me. I wondered what new things he might introduce to me next. The man was nothing if not creative, and my pleasure was always guaranteed.
He scooped me up and growled. “She-Wolf, what would you say to a chase at the house? You get naked, and let me try to catch you.”
I moaned, “Yes.” It was one of my favorite games. I loved being the prey to his predator. He loved to tease me and say it was only fair I submit since I was paying off my debt. It seemed repeated sexual submission was his idea of me paying for losing the childbirth bet. He had promised to give me sex, which would make me lose my voice and weak, and he made it happen often. It was a debt I wanted to keep on paying for the rest of my life. I adored this man and the happiness he brought me. There was nothing I wanted more than to be Spawn’s She-Wolf.
