Epilogue
Snow
O ne Year Later
THE SOUND OF HAPPY chatter mingles with the music as the people of Dracaria celebrate.
Today marks one year since the death of my father. Since dethroning a ruler who was detrimental to so many people of this kingdom. A man no one misses.
So much has happened in the past year. With the help of not only Regina and my monsters but the people of the kingdom, I took my rightful place on the throne. They played a big part in rebuilding what was lost.
The people are thriving, no one is going hungry or is out of work.
We lost a few lives during the battle, and their deaths have not been ignored. Their families will want for nothing, and the children of the fathers lost will forever be known as heroes.
Knowing people died to save me, to save this kingdom, is something I still have yet to process. It's something I'll never be able to truly get over. Death is something I wanted to avoid, but my men have done their best to explain to me that sometimes life isn't that easy. That in this world, sometimes people lose their lives for the greater good and as much as I hate it, I know it's true.
"How are you feeling, my queen." Sterling leans over the throne from behind me, whispering in my ear
A small smile plays on my lips as I shiver, his breath fanning over my neck. "I'm fine. Just like I've been fine for the past five minutes since the last time Sullivan asked me."
"You can't blame us for wanting to make sure our girls are okay." Sterling grins, placing his large hand over the swell of my belly as he places a kiss on my shoulder, making me sigh, my eyes fluttering closed for a moment.
"We are okay. And enjoying the night. Most of all, the food." I moan as I take a bite out of the turkey leg currently gripped in my hand.
"Careful there, love," Gabe growls from my other right side. "Keep making those noises, and I'll take you into the hall and put another pup in you."
I laugh, swallowing my bite of food. "That's not how that works." I shoot him a cheeky look.
"You know, as soon as Dallas gives you the go-ahead for sex after the baby is born, they're just going to put another one in you," Regina taunts from my left.
"Or at least have fun trying," Henry chuckles from his spot next to Regina.
We're sitting in thrones of our own, watching our people enjoy their lives for the first time in a good while.
I wouldn't have it any other way, ruling this kingdom with my mates at my side.
The word has gotten out that Dracaria is a monster-friendly kingdom and that we do not discriminate based on your species. As long as you are respectful of the kingdom and its people, anyone is welcome within my lands.
"I can't wait to have a whole litter of pups running around the palace." Brady crouches down before me, placing his hands on my belly. "You're going to be so loved, Sweet Girl."
My eyes sting as pure joy fills my heart and soul.
My life is perfect. At least to me. I have loving mates who adore me as I adore them, a kingdom of people who believe in me and stand by my side, and a sweet baby girl who is going to be so spoiled.
The only thing that could make this better was if my mother was here, too.
Lifting my eyes to the portrait on the wall, I smile. I've been told I was the spitting image of her, from the same Raven hair and blue eyes down to the kind heart.
I'm even wearing the same dress she was in the photo. Black velvet top with gold embroidery on the chest and a gold skirt to match.
The same red ribbon holds back my long, wavy curls as it did in her photo.
I believe she sent me my daughter, my sweet Ella, named after her grandmother. And I know she's watching over us, with her mate Derek at her side.
Finding out the part my father played in both of their deaths hurt beyond compare.
But now he's gone, and the world is a better place because of it.
"I can't wait." I smile at Brady. "I want one from each of you."
Regina lets out a choked sound. "Babe, six kids?"
"What?" I laugh. "Why not? We have the room."
"And the hands to raise them," Dallas adds.
"And the love to give them," Sullivan supplies.
Regina sighs. "I do love me a cute squishy baby. Alright. Bring the little rugrats on."
We all laugh.
Sally makes her way up the steps, and I smile at her in her pink sparkly dress. Annie and the kids at the orphanage are doing wonderful. Now that people have been able to afford their lives, more children have been adopted.
We moved them within the palace walls, where the kids can live safely, happily and are free to roam around.
As for Sally and her little brother John, they have taken it upon themselves to make the palace their home. None of us mind, but she sure does give poor Annie a run for her money.
"Princess, princess!" Sally rushes over to us.
"It's queen now," John corrects from behind her, nearly tripping over his feet.
"Right. Queen Snow. I like it." She gives me a beaming smile.
"Thank you." I laugh. "How are you enjoying the night?"
"It's amazing." Her eyes light up with wonder. "I feel like a princess."
My heart warms at her words. "Well, to me, you are."
"Go on, ask her," John whispers loudly to his sister.
I look around to see my guys watching the little ones with amused smiles before bringing my attention back to the kids.
"What would you like to ask me?"
Sally sighs dramatically, rolling her eyes. "John wants to know if your baby is going to come out furry like your mates."
My eyes widen as my lips part. I'm at a loss for words, taken by surprise by her blunt question. "Ahhh." I blink, not sure how to answer.
But my men and Regina? They burst into laughter.
"What's so funny?" John huffs, putting his little hands on his hips.
"I mean, the kid has a good question," Regina responds, and the guys' expressions all turn somber.
"I'm not sure." I let out a little laugh. "We haven't really thought about it."
"It's okay, we will love her even if she's all hairy like them." Sally points to the guys.
"Come on, Sally. I want more cake!" John takes off and Sally follows after him, her laughter a sound I hope to hear for years to come.
"If you kids don't stop eating the damn cake, there won't be enough for everyone else!" Mrs. Bark huffs, trailing behind the kids. She shoots me a grin over her shoulder and a wink that has me smiling from ear to ear.
Mrs. Bark sold the bakery part of the building, and she and her husband moved onto the palace grounds. She now works for me, baking for all our important events. She says she loves it and missed working for my mother. I'm beyond happy to have her here. She's the only real family I have left outside my mates.
"Is the baby going to come out looking like one of you?" I ask, turning my attention to my men.
Dallas scratches the back of his head. "I'm not sure." He chuckles. "There's not much history on lycan-human hybrids. Most humans have been too terrified to come near our kind, let alone breed with us."
"I don't see why." I lick my lips, my eyes slowly taking in all my men. "You're all insanely attractive to me."
Gabe growls, no doubt getting a nose full of my perfume. I was already desperate for them at any waking moment after my first heat; it's only gotten worse with pregnancy. "Come with me, little omega." He stands from his throne and holds out his hand.
"Where are we going?" I ask, letting him pull me to my feet.
"To see if I can prove you wrong about putting another pup in you." I gasp as he scoops me up and carries me out the back way.
I look over my shoulder, finding the rest of my mates following behind us. Regina shakes her head and shouts. "Have fun!"
I laugh, burying my face into Gabe's chest.
I'm so utterly and irrevocably in love with my seven sinfully addicting mates.
And I wouldn't have it any other way.
The End.
