Luke and his mom appear at the end of the aisle, stepping out from behind the wall of blooming flowers.
I pull Meghan into my side. “You did a good job, Banshee.”
She wiggles against me, causing her sequin dress to sparkle in the afternoon summer sun.
“I’ve always wanted to do something here,” she says, referring to the hummingbird garden in the arboretum. And I can see why.
It’s full of life.
Full of vibrancy.
I kiss the top of Meghan’s head. “Love you, Baby.”
She tips her head back, a soft smile on her mouth. “Don’t call me Baby.”
I press my lips to hers.
