CHAPTER 31

T he tension between Sin and me was at an all-time high when he left for work. He was pissed because I wouldn't call him Daddy and I was pissed because he won't say he loves me even though I'm pretty sure he does. I know he thinks I'm being a brat, but I can't figure out why he won't just admit how he feels about me. If he can't say the words to me I don't think he has any business collaring me. If a collar means a lifetime commitment, it shouldn't be something taken lightly. I go to send him a message to tell him I love him even if he can't say it back because I hate the way we both left things when I hear someone at the door.

I open the door to let Joe bring my belongings inside and am frozen in front of the door. All the guards are dead and soon I will be, too.

A silent scream tears through my lungs.

The men have come for me.

I know without asking why.

This time there's nowhere to go. I'm stuck on the forty-third floor of a hotel. Either I run to the balcony and jump to my death or I die at the hands of the monsters who have finally trapped me.

We all know we'll die one day, yet we do anything we can to stretch out our time on this earth. When death finally catches up to us, there's no preventing it from taking us. Today, my time is up. I know it's inevitable. Still, I won't go down without a fight.
