Epilogue

The cheer of the crowd as my firstborn scores her first goal of the season echoes through the arena. Ella might only be five years old, but she"s already a natural on the ice. She"s the tomboy out of my three daughters. She is constantly proving herself to her male teammates.

Our league was too small to have both a boys" hockey team and a girls" hockey team, so we had to combine them into one team. Ella outshines them all. Inheriting my hockey skills from me and her mother"s intelligence, she"s a force to be reckoned with on and off the ice.

"Did you see that?" Eden cheers alongside Eve, our three-year-old. Eve is our little girly-girl, always wearing pink and playing with her baby dolls. Ella and Eve couldn"t be more opposite, but they are the best of friends.

"Go, Ella!" Eve jumps up and down, her little fists pumping into the air as she cheers her sister on.

Our one-year-old Erin tries to mimic her sister by lifting her chubby little fists in the air and yelling, but she loses her pacifier in the process and begins to cry instead of cheer.

I reach into the diaper bag, pull out a clean pacifier, and give it to Erin. She reaches her little arms out to me with a sweet smile. Like all my girls, she has me wrapped around her little finger. I lift her off her mother"s lap and snuggle her into my arms, where she promptly falls asleep.

"Wow, you certainly have a way with the women." Eden teases. "She never falls asleep that fast for me."

"That"s because you aren"t old and boring like me."

"First of all, you"re not old and certainly not boring." My eyes follow hers as she glances down at her little baby bump, cupping it gently in her hands.

Baby number four will be here in just a few months, and life couldn"t be better. Eden continues to write her lady porn, as she likes to call it; I call her amazing. She has a huge following and outshines me in the fan department.

I"m still with the Chicago Kraken, and we"ve won the Stanley Cup the last four out of five seasons. I"m considering retiring after this season; I haven"t told anyone yet, but I think it"s time to hang up my skates with baby number four on the way.

Eden wraps her arms around my neck, "What are you thinking about?" She coaxes.

Ever since I opened up about Jessica, we"ve never kept anything from each other, and I"m not going to start now, "I"m going to retire after this season."

"It"s about time," she says, capturing my lips with hers. "I love you, Dr. Drake Ramoray." She teases, recalling the first time we met.

"And I love you fluffy."
