EPILOGUE
CROW
* Two Years Later *
I always take extreme care when doing a tattoo. Make sure it’s as perfect as possible, and that the client is comfortable, with the least amount of pain.
After I finish the last swirl on Emma’s first – and hopefully only, though that’s up to her – tattoo, I pull my hand back and shake it out.
My beautiful wife’s head pops up from where she’s sprawled across the padded leather table where I first ate her glorious pussy. “All finished?”
“Yup.”
I wipe off the area on her hip, then let her stand up to look in the mirror.
We designed it together – a small, doodled heart surrounded by sparks – but she said the color was my choice, and I kept that a secret. As soon as she sees it, her laugh rings out through the shop. “You absolutely sneaky-ass man.” Her head tilts as she examines it. “I’m kidding. Wow… It’s beautiful.”
I’ve always loved tattoos on people. Men, women, every shade of skin. But I couldn’t imagine marring the perfection of Emma’s pale softness with ink.
I also wasn’t going to tell her what she should or shouldn’t do with her body, though. So when she insisted on one small tattoo, I knew right away it had to be pale mauve. The soft color makes the fine line art very subtle. I also knew it should go on her hip, right where I’m always grabbing her.
The only times I don’t have my hands all over her is when she’s working in the café and at my work events. And even then we’re still constantly touching, we just try to keep things a little more PG.
I’ll admit, I do the same when I’m telling her about my fire calls. I never tell her about the danger. About the times we have to rush in and haul people out while they’re choking and sputtering. Or the times when I’m almost bashed in the head, or nearly trip down some stairs in the dark.
Nope, she only hears about the times when it’s my turn to rescue a kitten stuck in a tree. Or that time it was actually a good thing that a small portion of someone’s kitchen caught fire, because the wallpaper was hideous and now they’ll have to redecorate.
“What made you pick this color?” Emma asks, examining her hip in the mirror. I stand in the doorway so that there’s no chance anyone could possibly peek in and catch my wife in her light blue underwear.
“That’s the color your nails were on the day we met.”
Her jaw drops open. Then she grins, reaching around the back of my neck to pull me in for a slow, deep kiss.
“It would be an amazing color for a baby’s room too, don’t you think?” I whisper.
Her hand grips my bicep hard. “Hey now. Six more months. Then we start.”
“Whatever you say, Sparky.”
We agreed not to start trying for kids until our two-year wedding anniversary. Until then, we’re happy to practice every chance we get. Which reminds me…
“Drop those panties and get back up on the table,” I call out as I quickly walk to the front of the shop to lock up. “There’s an extra service I provide for gorgeous first-time clients named Sparky.”
You’ll be seeing Liam in She’s Got that Fire and Damon in She’s Got that Heat !
