I liked anal sex. It was a forbidden pleasure, a different way to appreciate a woman’s perfect body. Most women didn’t enjoy it, in my experience. They would maybe try it if you pushed hard enough, but that was no fun. I only enjoyed it as long as my partner was just as into it as me.
And somehow, against all odds, Melissa was the kind of woman who loved it.
Sure, it was hard at first. Sliding it in. Making sure she was relaxed and comfortable. But soon she was pushing her hips back against me, demanding more.
So I gave it to her.
The sight of my cock disappearing between her round cheeks, swallowed by her ass… it was more than I could stand. It was a wonder I didn’t come the moment I was inside. Somehow, I managed to restrain myself enough to make it last—a Herculean feat.
We went upstairs and used the primary bathroom to clean up, then collapsed in my bed. Ash was the last one to join us; he hesitated a few seconds before grudgingly climbing into bed on the other side of Melissa.
It struck me as funny. Ash could trust two people enough to have a threesome with them, but balked at a little bit of intimacy.
“I’ve got a confession,” Ash said.
Melissa sat up a little straighter against the headboard. “Uh oh.”
I frowned at Ash. What was he going to say? Although he had let loose during the sexual act, he was now back to appearing a little more reserved with his words.
“You wanted it exactly like the first threesome we had,” he explained slowly.
“Uh huh,” Melissa said.
“I didn’t come in her mouth.”
I blinked. “You didn’t?”
“I came all over her chest. You don’t remember?”
“I barely remember anything after I came last time,” I said with a chuckle.
“I don’t understand,” Melissa said, furrowing her brow in concentration. “The angle we were at, with me bent over the arm of the couch… how did it work?”
“Noah came, then we rolled her onto her back. That’s when I came on her chest. It was, uh, kind of her fantasy.”
“Oh.” Melissa blinked as she considered that.
“I’m… I’m sorry,” Ash said. Apologies were rare from the big man. “I couldn’t hold back.”
Melissa leaned over, held his face with both hands, and kissed him softly. “That’s an exception worth making. I loved that all three of us came at the same time. That’s better than rolling me over and finishing by yourself.”
“You sounded like you had a big one,” I observed while gently caressing her thigh. She had the smoothest skin.
“Oh my God, yes!” Melissa said with a goofy grin. “The way you kept edging me before that, getting me closer and then denying me what I wanted, it made it so much bigger and more intense when I did come.”
“It sounded like it. It’s a good thing nobody lives near me or they probably would’ve heard.”
“Fuck, they still might have heard her all the way over at Jack’s place,” Ash muttered. “Practically pierced my ear drums.”
“Sorry,” she said.
Ash grabbed a handful of her hair and pulled her into another kiss. “Don’t ever apologize for coming that hard.”
As soon as he let go, I cupped her chin and pulled her to my lips. “Agreed. How do you feel? I was seriously afraid it would be too much for you.”
“I’m… a little sore,” she admitted, little spots of red touching her cheeks. “But I’m good! I can’t believe we just did that.”
“Next time, we’ll use real lube,” I promised. “It’ll be even easier.”
Next time . Implying we would do this again—potentially with Ash. I wondered if I had gone too far, had made an assumption that didn’t align with what she wanted. Maybe this was just a one-time thing for her, a bucket list item to be crossed off.
But she bit her lip, then gave me a peck on the cheek. “How did this compare to the first threesome you guys had?”
“It was better,” I said, which was completely true.
“Really?”
“Fuck yeah,” Ash agreed. “No question.”
We chatted about it a little more, and soon Melissa was snoozing with her head on my chest. I gently stroked her hair and glanced over at Ash.
“Glad she kissed you while climbing” I said.
“Me too,” he admitted.
“Did you know this might happen when you loaned her your bike?” I asked.
“I was just trying to be nice.”
“That’s the thing,” I said. “You aren’t nice to anyone. Especially strangers.”
“Yeah, I know.” He stared off at nothing.
“Something on your mind?”
He shrugged one shoulder.
“I can see the wheels spinning,” I prodded. Sometimes we could coax an answer out of Ash, sometimes not.
This time it seemed to work. “When you first took her out, you said it was just a fling.”
“It is.”
“You don’t do flings.”
“I’ve had the occasional emotionless fling.”
Ash turned his head and stared at me. Jesus, that gaze was intimidating, even as a friend of his.
“Yeah, fine,” I said. “I like her a little.”
Ash continued staring.
“Okay, I like her a lot .” I glanced down to make sure she was still asleep.
“I’ve never seen you like this,” Ash said. “Jack agrees.”
I gave a start. “You’ve been talking to Jack about me?”
“We’ve talked about her ,” he replied.
What does that even mean?
“Jack’s just jealous I asked her out first,” I said.
“Jack seems annoyed by her.”
“Exactly,” I said. “That’s how you know he likes her.”
Ash snorted, which was as close to conceding that point as I would get from him.
“It’s fine,” I said. “Nothing wrong with catching some feels.”
Ash let out a long sigh. “Yeah, there’s something wrong with it.”
I frowned. “You don’t know—”
“I know,” he interrupted, “because I like her too.”
I recoiled in surprise. “You do?”
Begrudgingly, he nodded once.
I almost laughed. Since getting out of prison, Ash hadn’t dated anyone. He’d had his fair share of hookups, but that was it. Nothing serious. In fact, he’d only dated someone once, and he called that off after three dates because he was afraid that he liked her. He didn’t want to get too close to anyone, to allow himself to trust a woman that way again.
Yet here he was, throwing himself head-first into Melissa.
“You knew you were catching feels for this girl,” I said slowly, “and you still agreed to try this? To have a threesome with her? Why would you do that when she’s leaving town in the next week?”
He shrugged. “I wanted to. Future’s not guaranteed. Giant meteor could kill us all tomorrow. No point worrying about the future ‘til it happens.”
I looked at my friend with bewilderment. Ash wasn’t the YOLO kind of guy. This was a totally new attitude for him. At least since I’d known the man.
It’s Melissa , I thought, glancing down at her again. A lock of hair had fallen across her face, so I gently brushed it back. She has this effect on all of us.
Ash was staring at her too, I realized. He bent down and gave her a soft kiss on the forehead—another uncharacteristic action—and then got out of bed.
“You can stay,” I offered. “This bed is big. Room for all of us.”
“I like to sleep alone.”
“There’s the guest bedroom down the hall. It always has fresh sheets.”
Without hesitation, he said, “I like my tent.” He gave Melissa one more look—some mixture of caring and passion crossing his expression—and then left the room without so much as a goodbye.
Yeah. He’s still the same independent Ash . Yet if he was willing to admit he liked Melissa…
I watched her sleep for a bit and thought about what Ash had said. That he’d never seen me like this, and that Jack agreed.
And with this beautiful woman in bed next to me, I was afraid they were right.
