Chapter 12
Adriana had spent most of the day alternating between worrying about Decker and his men and being furious that he’d left her behind. Greg had been needed in the clinic and so had dragged her along with him. To keep her from pacing and railing that she was now being held prisoner, Greg had Wordsworth bring her a computer to help occupy her time.
“I found something you might want to follow up on,” the librarian had said to her when he was setting up the computer in Greg’s office.
“What’s that?” she snarled.
Greg growled low in his throat. “Adriana, we talked about you taking out your ill temper with Decker and me on others.”
When the hell had he and Decker become so buddy-buddy?
“My apologies, Wordsworth. Greg is right. It isn’t you that I’m pissed off at. You don’t deserve my bad attitude. Given that I’m not being allowed to do anything that I could be doing to make the situation better—such as going with Decker or attending to Shadow Sister business, researching something might alleviate the boredom.”
Wordsworth chuckled and turned to Greg. “You have a spirited mate. I suspect it will take both you and Decker to keep her safe.” He swiveled back to Adriana. “There are some interesting things about the O’Shea pack going back hundreds of years, if not longer. I bookmarked some sites that might be of help.”
When the librarian left, Adriana sidled up to Greg, rubbing against him and allowing her growing arousal to travel down the link to him.
“You do know that both of us can feel that, don’t you?” he asked.
She didn’t but that was beside the point. She’d discovered fucking one of them, or preferably one shortly after the other, was often the best way to deal with the growing discomfiture she was feeling.
“Your point being?” she all but purred.
Greg’s hand connected sharply with her backside—something he and Decker had taken to doing whenever they wanted to divert her from something. She should have resented it. She should have wanted to retaliate in some way—but she didn’t. Instead, she found the small, sharp pain had a way of spreading into a comforting warmth which was really annoying.
“My point is that part of what you have been feeling all day is a growing concern for Decker’s safety. If he was in any real danger, I suspect you would know that, but distracting him at the moment is not your best idea.”
She hadn’t thought of it that way. Somewhat sheepishly, she backed off. “I guess I didn’t think about that. I won’t do that again when Decker is out saving the world or you’re working with a patient. Both of you need to be able to focus.”
Greg took her in his arms, holding her close, and Adriana found herself clinging to him. “It’s all right, sweetheart. This is still very new to all of us. We’ll figure it out and get better at it.”
“Are you sure? You may not have noticed, but I can be kind of petty and vindictive.”
“Actually, I had noticed,” chuckled Greg, “but I’m like Erin. I kind of see you as some kind of superhero, so when you act up, I find it reassuring and amusing. It’s actually kind of adorable.”
Adriana groaned and rolled her eyes. No one had ever found her adorable before, and it was annoying that both Greg and Decker did.
Sitting down behind Greg’s desk, she began to pull up the sites Wordsworth had found. After several hours, she had to admit that the owl-shifter was onto something. Eoghan had led her to believe his pack needed the money he would get from selling her to Strode. But if these landholdings were any indication, nothing could be further from the truth. Eoghan had plenty of money already. She was beginning to wonder just what was really behind Eoghan’s actions.
The sudden lightening of the gloomy feeling that had descended when Decker left was her first indication that he had returned and was unharmed. Without thinking, she sprang from the chair and all but bowled Greg over as he was headed to his office, most likely to tell her. She sprinted out of the medical facility and into the main courtyard of the abbey just as Decker was parking the sleek, sexy, black motorcycle he had been riding and removing his helmet.
Launching herself at him, she covered his face with kisses as he caught her, swinging her onto the motorcycle in front of him so she was facing his way.
“Miss me?” he laughed.
“You have no idea.”
She might have told him more but was prevented from telling him all her dirty fantasies by the arrival of Erin, who also clamored for his attention.
“You’re back!” Erin said, hugging his neck.
“I am. Can you do me a favor and ask Maya to prepare something for my men?” She nodded. “Can I trust you to make sure their needs are seen to?”
“Of course,” Erin replied, running back to the kitchen.
“Aren’t you hungry?” Adriana purred, responding to the lust she could feel rolling off him in waves.
“Ravenous, but the honey I seek isn’t found in the kitchen,” he said, sliding his hand down to cup her mons.
As he wrapped his hands under her ass, she was pretty sure Decker didn’t give a damn who was watching. He swung his leg over the motorcycle, lifting her up. Adriana wrapped her legs around his waist as his mouth latched onto hers, his tongue invading her mouth. She held him close as he carried her past everyone who was between them and the closest bed, which just happened to be the one in Greg’s clinic.
He was so strong. She never had any doubts that he could carry her anywhere. He carried her into the room, elbowing the door open and kicking it shut behind him. He crossed the room and Adriana found herself stripped naked and on her back on the mattress. Looking up at Decker, she watched as he got just as naked and joined her on the bed, making it creak. He grasped her knees, pulling them apart and taking his place between her legs.
As he stroked her slit, he smiled. “So wet. I was lying out there. I might want to eat your pussy later but right now, I just want to fuck it.”
With an infinite slowness she was sure was meant to drive her crazy, Decker began to sink his massive cock into her. He pushed in, only to pull almost all of the way out. He groaned as he stroked in again. She felt full in a way she never had with anyone else, except perhaps for Greg and that, she thought, was probably only fair.
As he gave her more of his weight, she realized she loved being surrounded by his strong, powerful frame. There was a deliciousness to it that was heady. He lowered his mouth to hers as he pressed in deep and remained absolutely still.
“There will come a day in the not-too-distant future where it will not just be me you need to deal with, but Greg, as well.”
She chuckled. “I already do that.”
“No, baby, you don’t. The only way this is going to work long term is if we truly share you—not just take turns but share a room and a bed. There will be long nights where the winter roars down this coast and everything outside will be cold, but trapped between Greg and me, you’ll be warm and snug.”
“You mean, you’d let him watch?” she asked incredulously.
“No, I mean share. The three of us are one. He may not be able to knot and tie you to him, but I won’t have him excluded from the intimacy. There will be many nights you’re caught between the two of us, but you will always know what it is to sleep in the arms of at least one of your fated mates.”
Adriana wanted to feel shocked, wanted to protest, but she didn’t. What she was feeling was even more aroused than before. Slanting his mouth across hers, he nuzzled her and nipped at the spot where Eoghan had marked her. She recoiled—at least as much as she could, locked to Decker as he ground his pelvis against hers, stroking deep and managing to light up her clit as well as her sweet spot.
“Don’t worry, baby, when the time comes, we’ll both be here, and you’ll be so focused on the pleasure we’re giving you, you won’t even notice.”
Again and again, he drove her right to the edge before backing her down. He was driving her crazy. She tried to move against him, to force him to give her what she wanted, but between his hold on her ass and the size of his cock, she couldn’t do anything more than take what he wanted to give her.
Then as if to prove the point that he could fuck her hard enough that she could think and feel nothing else, he began to pound into her. Again and again, he thrust into her, sending her flying as the climax swept over her, crashing into her like stormy waves against the rocks below. Decker’s face contorted as he gave her one last deep thrust and then filled her with his warmth.
There was a knock on the door. “If you two are finished, Colby would like to see us.”
Decker uncoupled from her. “Come on in,” called Decker.
Greg opened the door, stepping inside. “That wasn’t what I was expecting.”
“Yeah. I had some time to think about our somewhat unique situation on the way back. Maintaining three rooms isn’t working for me. I don’t like the idea of Adriana sleeping alone. Colby once offered me the rooms in the main keep usually given to a clan’s beta. Given that Colby’s beta shares his bed, they stand empty. I don’t know if either of you have ever been in them, but they’re huge. An enormous bedroom with an attached sitting room, bath and walk-in closet. I think we should tell him we’re moving all three of us in there. I know there’s a huge bed in one of the warehouses, and I do mean huge. I think you should keep this room so that if you have a patient who needs close watching, you can rest, but I don’t want Adriana alone.”
“You’ve just decided?” Adriana challenged, sitting up in the bed and not caring that they could both see her naked upper body.
Decker nodded. “One of the things I realized is there can only be one alpha. That’s me. Greg, for all intents and purposes, is the beta in this little menage of ours. And you, my sweet mate, will obey both of us in equal measure.”
“So, how do you see us being intimate with her working if we only have one bed?” asked Greg.
“Oh, he thinks he’s figured that out,” said Adriana, her pussy quivering at the thought but pretty sure Greg would object. He might not be an alpha male, but he was still all wolf. Male wolves were not known for their love of sharing.
“Don’t you dare act like the thought didn’t appeal to you,” said Decker. “I could feel your pussy tremble when I told you.”
“Would either of you like to fill me in? I’m feeling a little left out.”
Decker nodded. “And that’s one of the reasons we have to do it this way. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure there will be times when you’re in the mood, and I’m not, or vice versa. Neither of us should feel bad about taking her when we’re so inclined. But more often than not, I figured out on the ride back that we need to take her together.”
“Should I assume when you want to knot her, I’ll need to make myself absent?”
“Not necessarily. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the whole sharing aspect of this relationship. There’s a level of intimacy in knotting and tying your mate that can’t be duplicated in any other way. As you aren’t an alpha and can’t form a knot, I would propose that we share the tie, as well as Adriana, as often as we can.”
“Don’t I have anything to say about this?” Adriana asked, realizing that she was not going to be able to play one of them against the other.
“No,” they said in unison. That was happening more and more and was becoming annoying.
Decker was pulling on his clothes. “We need to talk to Colby about what we found up at the site where Erin’s coven once lived.”
“It’s not good, is it?” Adriana asked as she started to get dressed.
“No, but I think it might explain some things. It raises a bunch of other questions, but I’m beginning to think I understand Adriana’s vision.”
