ANGIE

M y body was aflame, and only this man was going to extinguish me. Not too soon, I hoped.

We'd been talking about . . . something. Right now, all I could focus on was his amazing cock pumping inside me, pulling out, before driving right back in where I needed it most. He was big and wide, and I wouldn't have him made any other way.

I rocked up to meet each of his thrusts, and when his tail curled around and started stroking my clit, my shriek burst out.

He chuckled. "You're going to worry your staff if they hear you screaming."

"Don't be so good at this, and I'll keep my mouth shut."

"I'll try not to be too good."

I could tell by the high color in his face that my words pleased him. I wanted to make this male smile all the time. He was the best thing that had ever happened to me, and the thought of losing him sent pain arching through me—the last thing I wanted when he was angling his hips to make his cock hit my G-spot just right.

Since I didn't want to cry, I focused harder on his cock. Not a difficult thing to do while it was moving this nicely inside me.

His tail was amazing, as were his fingertips stroking my nipples. And when he curled his wings around me as if sheltering me from view and protecting me, my heart pretty much soared out of my chest and all the way to the clouds drifting across the sky far above.

He started moving faster, and I kept pace with my counter thrusts. A dull ache centered down there. He was big, and we'd had a lot of fun last night with his cock. But the feeling soon faded, replaced with a growing need that only this guy would ever fulfill.

I jerked my hips up to meet him until his hips were a blur and I couldn't keep pace. As he braced himself over me, his tail rubbed my clit harder as if it knew exactly how to drive me to the brink.

I'd like to say I came softly. That's how it happened in romance novels, right?

Instead, I crashed, shouting out a guttural cry that probably echoed throughout the microbrewery.

Tuvid came right after, shouting my name as he shuddered above me, his big cock stiff and jerking within me.

I should be worried about gargoyle babies, right?

I should also be worried about liverwurst.

But all I could think of was how I wanted to do this again.

Tuvid untied our tails and snuck out the back door, determined to track down some clues. I worked in my office, ordering big ticket items from new suppliers. Once I'd established relationships with them, I'd hand them over to Emma, and she'd take it from there.

Then I went through some of the supplies ordered over the past month. When some of the numbers didn't add up, I called Emma into the office. She sat opposite me, and I explained.

"Why am I seeing orders for so many bottles?" I asked, running down the column once more.

"Remember? The forklift broke and we dropped a pallet."

"Oh, yeah. Someone did mention that to me a month or so ago. I was busy and forgot. And the caps and sanitizer?"

"The caps were defective. We returned them, and we're just waiting for them to reimburse us. The company went bankrupt, but I was told we had a good chance of getting our money back."

That sucked, though it wasn't a lot of money. Each thousand dollars added up, however. "And the sanitizer?"

"Manufacturer recall. We shipped it back, and we're waiting for them to send more. I didn't want us to run out, so I took the liberty of ordering from our second supplier."

"Perfect." I appreciated that she was savvy enough to keep up with stuff like this. If we ran out of sanitizer, the line would have to shut down. It wasn't like I could run out to a convenience store and buy bottles of it off the shelf.

"Anything else?" she asked.

I sat back in my chair. "Nope. How are things going?" I referred to her ex-boyfriend situation.

"Actually," She wiggled her eyebrows. "Jularin and I got back together."

"I thought he was cheating on you."

"We decided to make it a threesome."

Not my thing, but if they were happy, I was happy for them. "Everything's okay otherwise?" The last thing I'd bring up was her debt. Although . . . "I meant to mention it last week." Not really. "I'm giving you a raise."

"Yay." Her face lit up. "Thank you so much."

"You'll see it in your check next week." I'd have to speak to payroll about it, but something like that wasn't hard to set up. Emma deserved it. She worked incredibly hard, and she was loyal to my business.

"You're such an amazing boss. I appreciate you very much. I hope you know that." She stood. "Is there anything else you need to talk about? I want to go call Jularin and tell him the good news."

"No, nothing else."

She bustled from the office, leaving the door open behind her.

Smiling because I loved sharing good news, I got up and went looking for Gracie. My smile fell once I'd found her. I wasn't sure how to broach something delicate like this, so I decided to be evasive .

"Hey," I said when I found her polishing the bar top in the tasting room.

"Everything's almost ready," she said, putting her elbow into the shine. "That orc construction dude Tuvid recommended stopped by not long ago and said his crew would start next week. He said he has enough orcs and ogres on board to handle this within a few days."

"Really?"

"Really. They'll rip out the lower section of the walls, replace the insulation, sheetrock and paint, then replace the trim. There's no mold under the floor, thankfully, so we should be able to open once they've finished and the inspector has signed off. Oh, and the orc guy has an electrician friend who'll work along with them."

"Perfect. Thanks for handling that." Gracie could not be trying to sabotage my business. If she was, she'd be dragging her feet on this, not doing all she could to make sure I was up and running within such a short time.

"You're welcome." She dropped the rag and rounded the counter to spontaneously hug me, murmuring by my ear. "You gave me a chance when no one else would, and I appreciate it."

"You're a great worker. I'm glad I hired you. I'm grateful we hooked up again on FaceSpace."

"Me too." She leaned back in my arms, grinning.

"Are you on there much anymore?"

"Sometimes. Someone hacked my account about a year ago, and that kept me off for a while, but I created a new account. I should give you the address one of these days in case you want to chat." Her laugh rang out. "Outside of work, that is. "

"You never know." I stepped backward, feeling reassured about my friend. Gracie was not gossiping about me and Benjamin on FaceSpace.

I had no idea who was, but I suspected if we could discover who'd hacked into her account and stolen it, we might discover who'd also hacked into our recipe files and made a few changes.

And then we'd know who was trying to sabotage my business.
