Chapter 8

Colby

“Your responses are clear, my Colby. Good boy.” Saint ran the tip of one tentacle gently down my face as the rest of his body did other incredible things to mine. “Focus on your pleasure and submission. It is something your body needs, my human. Submit and I will reward you.”

Part of my brain perked up at the promise of a surprise.

Part of my brain wanted to do as we were told and just submit as much as possible.

Other random bits tried to pop up as well, but my brain, my desire, and my dick were in enough agreement to drown out the rest.

We submitted.

My brain went quiet.

My desire burned bright.

My dick did it’s best to get even harder.

Whatever Saint felt from me had him making happy sounds like I’d been the best sub ever. It also seemed to get me my reward because his limbs twisted me around, and before I could register what was happening, I was ass up, being sounded again and kept immobile.

Adding the spice of a tiny bit of embarrassment only made everything better, but nothing compared to the first thud of his tentacle across my ass.

I knew my body jolted and it tried to move, my brain agreed with that, but nothing actually moved.

It was weird as fuck.

And obviously really hot because Saint did it again, sending thuddy pleasure through my very stuck body.

Yep, weird and wonderful.

Spank.

Fuck.

Twirly caress around my cock like I was his ice cream cone.

Spank.

Fuck.

Stroke.

The firm, heavy way his limb landed on me somehow kept it from ever being too much or too sharp like some spankings could feel. It was the perfect weight to send waves of pleasure through me and it made my brain unable to forget how helpless I was.

Best. Spanking. Ever.

When one thud finally sent a wave of pleasure too big to hold back through me, he slipped his tentacle out of my dick and my orgasm crashed over me. A distant part of me realized I was crying out and shaking, but it didn’t feel real.

It kept getting further away until everything faded and all I could feel was Saint wrapped around me. He stayed just like that until the world started coming back into focus like headphones slowly getting louder.

He must’ve felt some kind of change in me because his limbs gently relaxed until I found myself being cradled in his arms and their touch shifted to a slow massage. “Your submission has retreated slightly, my Colby.”

Nodding against his torso, I made sure to stay relaxed so he knew I didn’t want to move. “Enough for me to think. Kinda. You’ve got to keep me here, though. Yeah. Right here.”

There was a good chance that I had a little nap because when everything got clearer again, I’d shifted slightly and one limb was holding the water bottle the human helper had made sure to drop off.

“Your body requires hydration.” Saint shifted me around so I was sitting up enough to drink, even though he didn’t release me. “Restaurant food contains high concentrations of salt and submission exerts considerable force on a human body.”

I knew he was right because at the moment it felt like I’d just run a marathon.

“Thank you, Sir.” Drinking my fill, I drained the bottle before I went back to relaxing against him again. “Thank you.”

I might’ve already said that, but I wasn’t sure enough to take a chance.

“You are welcome, my Colby.” Saint’s limbs caressed over me until thinking finally got easier. He must’ve sensed that too because I could feel his body tense. “Human social conventions in domination-based relationships say I am required to ask about your physical and mental well-being even if I am confident about your bodily status.”

He knew I was fine but he had to ask.

He was so cute.

“You’re right, Sir. I’m wonderful.” There was no point in downplaying it since he wasn’t a human Dom and my being clingy wouldn’t bother him. “You were amazing and a good Dom during aftercare.”

Hmm.

“Do you need to put me down? You don’t seem to think I’m too heavy but I don’t want to wear you out or injure you.” He didn’t seem to be winded at all, but I wasn’t sure enough about how their bodies worked to bet on it.

“Thank you for worrying about my care. However, I could hold you for one of your Earth days before my body could no longer provide structure for you.” He chuckled when I made a confused sound. “Our evolutionary process started under water. Our scientists theorized that we had needed to grip to keep our body in one place.”

“Had to hold on to something so you didn’t float away. Makes sense.” And probably why I’d heard they didn’t need as much sleep as us. “Thank you for explaining it.”

“I will always do my best to explain our differences. Although, I have to admit to not always understanding human behavior. I will research and expand my knowledge, however.” He sounded confident in that but I wasn’t worried.

“Is that why you read a lot? Wait. Why haven’t you been here as long as everyone else?” That would’ve hit me earlier if he hadn’t been so distracting. “Wait. Did we already talk about that?”

My head felt like reality was a thousand miles away.

“Yes. Reading helps me understand human thought. I do understand the concept of fiction versus nonfiction. Do not worry.” Patting my head, Saint did a very human sigh that I had a feeling he’d been practicing. “I also understand the difference between fluff and dark romance .”

What had he been reading?

“Let’s focus on you reading happy stuff for now…or maybe just solving murders? The dark romance section is kind of scary.” Fun. But not for everyone. “I like fluff. I’ve read a few of the books on your shelf.”

That got me a tight hug and an excited sound that was definitely not anything I’d heard from a human. “Readers are wonderful humans. I have found a reader outside of your social media.”

Oh.

“Did you find the online book groups and stuff?” Maybe that was where he’d found the dark romance books?

“Yes. I am highly appreciated in what is called monster fucker groups.” He was really proud of that and seemed to be bragging, so I managed not to laugh but there was no way he couldn’t feel my reaction. “I am pleased you understand the importance and excitement of that.”

Adorable.

I’d never met a Dom who was so cute, but I loved it.

“I’m glad you found things that make you happy.” I was counting me in that mental list, so I wiggled and turned my head toward his torso to make him hold me tighter.

Amazing.

And I really needed to go back to social media if I’d missed out on aliens in the monster fucker book groups.

“As for your other question, reviewing the information again is understandable. Our ship in space must be maintained. I volunteered for that task so I would be able to more thoroughly research where I wanted to live and what type of humans should be documented.” Saint stroked my head as he snuggled me closer. “You come in a significant variety.”

That was an understatement if I’d ever heard one.

Oh, yes. I remembered.

“I’m glad you ended up here.” Moving didn’t sound like a good idea but petting the tentacle under my fingers got a soft sound from Saint. “Does that feel nice? The science people on TV said you guys don’t do recreational sex but my romance novels and the porn I’ve watched say differently. So I’m not sure what to do for you.”

Might as well make that clear so he didn’t think I was being an ass if there was something I could be doing. All the scientists the networks put on had blushed and nearly had strokes when asked about the fun aspects to our new alien friends…so they hadn’t been that helpful.

“Many of your scientists have a very narrow definition of sexual behavior.” The confusion in his voice was apparent. “We do not have the same need for sexual pleasure as humans and our bodies are not designed for it. However, we derive pleasure from touch and there is significant…satisfaction, maybe, from caretaking a submissive human.”

He made a cute thinking sound.

“One of the human mates I have met said we are wired for it .” The phrase didn’t come naturally to him based on how carefully he said it. “We are happiest when we have a mate. In humans, those that are bonded mates are always submissives of some form.”

Okay, so some of the romance novels were a lot closer to reality than I’d expected.

“Thank you for explaining that.” I’d mentally sort through it later. “But you need to let me know if I’m doing something you don’t like or if I need to be doing something to take care of you.”

Because I couldn’t read him nearly as easily as he read me.

Romance novels were going to make up for that, though. I was just going to have to do some rereading and notetaking.

“I will be forthcoming about any issues and expect the same promise from you, my Colby. Being able to list your physical responses does not always provide me with contextual information.” That frustrated him to high heaven as my grandma would’ve said. “I will learn quickly. Do not worry.”

“It’s not a race.” Or some kind of competition. “We’ll both ask questions and communicate thoroughly. We’ve done great so far.”

Fabulous if I was taking into consideration how wonderfully achy and orgasmed-out I was.

For the moment, anyway.

The gentle caress of his tentacles was making me wish I had a faster recoup time, though.

“You gave me a wonderful orgasm and I loved everything we did. Then you got me water and held me while I napped.” A-plus date so far. “What would you like to do? What would make you as happy as me? As content, maybe?”

Being around Saint was making me overthink my word selection.

“I’m hoping you know what I mean, but let me know if I need to find my phone and pull up a thesaurus.” I wasn’t sure I was joking about that, but he made me smile when he let out a happy breath. “You like those, huh?”

“Yes.” His limbs tensed and squirmed for a second, giving me the impression of a toddler waving their arms around. “They are wonderful. Human speakers of English have created a fascinating language.”

I was really glad he liked how weird we were.

“We’ve got a lot of words to learn that all mean almost the same thing.” It was weird when you actually tried to logic it out. “I’m glad you’re enjoying learning them.”

“I must learn your language if I am to continue my work.” He wasn’t really specific about what that was, but he was excited about it. “It is what humans call a work-in-progress .”

“You’re doing great, though.” Amazing honestly. “But you’re distracting me. I was trying to make you happy.”

That actually made him laugh again. “Submissives.”

Were clearly cute but I had to try to frown at him even though his near giggle said it wasn’t believable at all. “Doms.”

More laughter escaped my silly Dom, but he stroked my head and rearranged me so I was sitting on his lap. “You would like to please me. Yes. I will not deny you that necessity.”

That was it…he’d done way too much research about subs.

“You must be put back to a clean state and your dessert is waiting.” His thoughtful look made me think he was doing an Angela Lansbury impression. “I will not dictate your submission in this case. Would you like to use water to become clean? I have a human shower as well as a bathtub.”

“Yes.” I didn’t have to think about that before an answer popped out. “You’ll get in too?”

Wait.

Turning my head, I looked over at the tub. “We won’t fit.”

And I wasn’t sure how we’d fill it up either.

Or how we’d drain it.

Yeah, I had questions.

“That is a secondary bathtub that is not for bathing.” His thinking sound made me smile. “Is there a human word for bathtub that is not for bathing or washing?”

“Everything I can think of has water or cleaning connections.” There had to be a word but I needed more information first. “What do you do with it?”

I’d dated a guy for a couple of weeks who had a toilet in his living room, so I was prepared to keep a straight face for something weird.

“Our bodies do not have the same internal structure as humans.” He rippled one limb like it was an ocean wave. “Our density is alterable. There are times when complete relaxation dictates containing ourselves.”

He needed a bucket.

Like Odo from Star Trek.

Okay, that made sense.

“We’re going to have to think of a good word to describe that, but I get it.” And it wasn’t as weird as toilet guy, so I leaned in and gave Saint a quick kiss.

As he grinned like a kid at Christmas, I focused on our original discussion. “So you have another tub that we’ll both fit in? One for bathing?”

Did we have a word for sleep tubs?

Nap vats?

No, that sounded like we were in a horror movie.

I wanted a steamy romcom date…not one in the slasher genre.
