Ross

R oss was nervous as hell, but asking Leo to marry him felt right. For the first time in his life, he wanted to be with just one person—Leo. He just hoped that his guy would say yes, or he was going to be eating the stuffed lobster tails that he had delivered from Leo's favorite restaurant.

He had planned everything down to the second that Leo was supposed to walk through the front door. Dakota even lent a hand, ordering dinner for the two of them and picking up a ton of flowers to place around the room. She made the place look like a fairytale and when she left, she turned to tell not to fuck things up. He couldn't help but feel that she had jinxed him, but he wasn't about to start thinking about that. No, he needed to concentrate on what was important, and tonight, asking Leo to marry him was the most important thing he had ever done.

As soon as heard the garage door open, he just about swallowed his tongue. He could feel his heart beating, as though it might just thump out of his chest. He stood in the corner of the room, trying for casual, but feeling anything but.

"Hey," Leo said, tossing his keys on the table in the entryway. could tell the moment that Leo looked up by the shock that registered on his handsome face. "What's going on?" Leo asked. "Are we having company?"

"No," almost whispered. "It's just us."

"Then, what's all this for?" he asked, pointing to all the flowers around the room.

"My sister helped with all that," said as if that would answer Leo's question.

"Well, that was nice of her, but you still haven't told me what this is all for." Leo reminded.

"I thought that we could have a nice dinner," said.

"That sounds great," Leo agreed, "but, do we really need all these flowers to have a nice dinner?" 's mouth felt dry and by the time he got down on one knee and opened the ring box in his sweaty palm, he felt about ready to pass out.

"No, we don't need the flowers for our dinner. I had Dakota pick them up to go along with this," he said, holding the ring out for Leo to inspect. "I was hoping that you'd marry me."

"Marry you?" Leo asked. wondered if he wasn't clear, but the smirk on Leo's face let him know that he was just fucking with him.

"Yeah, marry me," grumbled.

"Don't get mad, babe," Leo said.

"Did you know about this?" asked. "I was hoping that everything would be a surprise, including my proposal."

"I hate to tell you this, , but I ran to town today for lunch, and saw Dakota loading all these flowers into her car. When I stopped her to ask what they were all for, she told me what you had planned," Leo admitted.

"Shit, I'm going to murder Dakota," growled, "she didn't say anything about seeing you earlier." He was still kneeling and holding the ring out to Leo, suddenly feeling worried that he might never agree to 's proposal.

"You don't have to," Leo insisted. "I pushed her for answers, and you know that your sister is a really bad liar." Dakota was an awful liar, but she should have kept her mouth shut. "About your proposal," Leo reminded.

"What about it?" asked. He wasn't sure if he should have gotten up from the floor or stay put. Leo was hard to read, and that wasn't usually the case.

"I think that I'd like to say yes," Leo said.

"Wait, are you saying yes, or are you thinking about it?" asked.

Leo paused, toying with , and when he finally nodded his head and smiled, stood from the floor, pulling his guy against his body.

"That's a yes, right?" he asked.

Leo chuckled, "That was a yes," he agreed.

removed the ring from the box and put it on Leo's ring finger. Leo looked the ring over and once again panicked. "If you don't like it, we can take it back and get you something else."

"I'd like to go back to the jewelry store," Leo said. 's heart sank. Although he had just offered to return the ring, he was hoping that his guy would like it.

"All right," said. He reached for the ring and Leo pulled his hand back from him. "What are you doing?"

"I'm not returning my ring," Leo insisted. "I think that we should go to the store and get you a ring too. I'd like to pick something out for you."

swallowed past the lump in his throat and nodded. "I'd like that too, babe," he agreed. "Thank you for saying yes," whispered.

"Oh, babe," Leo breathed, "I'd say yes to you every day, for the rest of our lives."

smiled, "You just did," he teased, "because I plan on spending the rest of our lives together."

Leo took 's hand and started to pull him into the family room. "What are you doing?" asked. "I ordered from your favorite restaurant."

"I see, but I'm not interested in food right now," Leo teased. He pushed back onto the sofa and quickly started to strip in front of him. always liked it when his guy took control—especially in the bedroom, or in this case, the family room. was naturally dominant, but he loved it when Leo came out of his comfort zone to take some of 's control from him.

reached for Leo, and he playfully pulled away. "So impatient," Leo teased. readjusted his cock and grumbled something about getting to the good part, making Leo laugh.

"We'll get to the good part soon, babe," Leo assured, "you'll just need to learn to be patient."

grabbed Leo's hand and pulled him down onto his lap. "I think that I've been very patient," he insisted. "I've wanted to fuck you since you dropped the keys on the table in the entryway." He grabbed a handful of Leo's ass and squeezed, making him moan.

"Now, this is more like it," hissed. "I need to taste you." He rolled Leo underneath him and kissed his way down his body, loving the way that his guy couldn't seem to hold still with anticipation of what was about to do to him. He wasn't going to tease Leo or make him wait any longer than necessary. He wrapped his hands around Leo's shaft and stroked him until he was panting for his next breath.

"That feels so fucking good, ," Leo praised. "I need more," he begged.

"Now who's being impatient?" taunted. Leo looked down his body at as if waiting for him to do what he had promised. He chuckled and wrapped his lips around Leo's erection, sucking him to the back of his throat. He allowed Leo to pull free from his mouth and shove back in, letting him use him to get off. Leo tried to pull free from 's mouth when he was about to come, but didn't allow that. He made sure that Leo finished in his willing mouth, and when he came in hot spurts down his throat, he took everything his guy gave him and licked him clean.

"My turn," growled, wiping his mouth on his sleeve. He stood and stripped, loving the way that Leo watched him.

"I don't know if I should be excited or worried about what you're about to do to me," Leo admitted.

"A little of both," teased, pulling down his pants, letting his cock spring free.

"Shit," Leo grumbled, but could tell that his guy was almost as excited as he was.

"I'll be right back," said. "I need to grab some lube from the bathroom." With the promise of lubing up his ass, Leo shivered. hurried up the stairs, taking them two at a time, to the master bedroom. He grabbed the lube and turned around, running into Leo's hard body.

"I thought that I'd save you a trip back downstairs. How about we move the celebration up here?" Leo asked.

"I like the way that you think," admitted. The sooner he could get Leo lubed up, the sooner he'd be able to sink into his body and take what he needed from him. He grabbed Leo's hand and pulled him into the bedroom. "Turn around," he ordered. He pushed Leo face first into the mattress and started lubing up his ass. "This is going to be fast, babe," warned. He was about ready to come into his hand as he rubbed lube over his erection.

When he finished, he tossed the tube of lube onto the bed and grabbed Leo's hips to line up his cock. He pushed past Leo's tight ring and loved the moan that he elicited from his guy. "Fuck, you feel good," groaned. "I'd really love to take longer with you, but I'm going to come, babe." pumped into Leo's body a few more times and when he lost his load, he shouted out his name. was lost in his guy, and he wouldn't want it any other way. Leo had become his whole world and now, he was going to be his husband.

Epilogue

couldn't believe that Leo had agreed to spend the rest of his life with him. Asking Leo to marry him felt right—like they were meant to be together, but he already knew that. A part of him expected Leo to decline his proposal since his father had just died and his mother was still facing possibly going away for a long time for killing his father. Everything was so fucked up, but the way Leo leaned on for support gave him hope that they'd be able to conquer anything that came their way—even marriage.

's mother had a blast planning their wedding, and honestly, both he and Leo were grateful for the help. His sister was going to be his best woman, and Zane had agreed to be Leo's best man. It was all coming together, and wasn't sure how he had gotten so lucky. One thing was for sure—he wasn't going to take his new life with Leo for granted. He was going to love and cherish his guy for the rest of their lives.

They had agreed to his mother's crazy scheme to stay in separate locations until the ceremony. They were using her backyard to exchange vows and have a small reception afterward, and she was like a guard dog, watching to make sure that they didn't break the rules she had put in place. Leo was staying with Zane for the night and had agreed to stay in his old childhood bedroom until he could see Leo again. Being back at his family's home always brought him so much comfort, but waiting for his wedding day was stressing him out. He couldn't seem to find any of the peace he usually did by going over to his mother's, and that plain sucked. He just wanted to be with Leo, and in one short hour, he would be. They would be married, and he'd never have to spend a night away from his guy again.

"You look nervous," Dakota said. She had taken a few days' leave from work and he was grateful that she did. He wasn't sure that he would have been able to have gotten through the last few days without her.

He turned to find her standing in the doorway and motioned for her to come into his room. "Not so much nervous as excited," he insisted. He was lying. was nervous as hell, but he planned on keeping that truth to himself.

She smiled at him, and he knew that Dakota could tell that he was lying. "If you say so," she teased. "I'm really happy that you and Leo finally came to your senses and are getting hitched. It took you two long enough."

"You know," drawled, "it's not too late for me to find another best woman," he joked.

"You're already thinking about replacing me?" she asked, pretending to be upset about his statement. "You do know that I had to put up with a lot of shit growing up. You weren't the easiest big brother, ." He smiled, thinking back at all the tricks he used to play on his little sister growing up and how much trouble he used to get into for doing so.

"I wasn't that bad," he insisted.

"You were merciless," she breathed, "but, I still love you, . I knew that you were just trying to get on my nerves—um, I mean toughen me up." He shook his head at Dakota, making her giggle. She always did have a way of getting under his skin, even when she wasn't trying.

"How's mom doing with your decision to become a cop?" asked, changing the subject.

"She's starting to come around," Dakota assured. "She wasn't very happy about me leaving to go to the police academy, but I promised her that I'd be safe, and then, I reminded her that she still has you."

"Great, so I'm a consolation prize now?" he asked.

Dakota shrugged, "I guess so. Plus, your getting married gave Mom a project. She loves Leo and you and I both know that you're her favorite."

"True, true," agreed.

"You don't have to be so eager to agree with me, ," she insisted.

"Well, I've been taught to always tell the truth," teased. "I can't start lying now. Mom would kill me." rolled his eyes at her and turned back to the mirror to straighten his tie. Dakota stood next to him, seeming to study his reflection.

"You do clean up nicely, ," she said.

He looked her over, noticing the blue dress that Dakota had picked out because it matched her eyes. "You do too," he praised. "Were you able to secure a plus one?" he asked.

"Nope," Dakota said, "it's for the best, really. With my new job and taking care of Ma, I don't have time to date. I don't have time for a lot of things these days." was sure that she was referring to sex, but he didn't want to know. The less he knew about his little sister's love life, the better.

"How's Leo settling in as the new head of his family?" she asked.

"He's doing well. For a guy who didn't want to have to take his father's place, he seemed to pick it up easily. We're working on new ways of doing things, and I really like the way things are going for both of our families."

"Changes?" Dakota asked, "as in legal changes or am I going to have to arrest you and my soon-to-be brother-in-law at some point?"

"No need to get your hand cuffs out yet, sis," he teased. "I just mean that we're going to do things differently from how our fathers did things. We're even going to move both of our offices into one building, that way we can combine forces. Zane likes the idea too, but he has to get his father's approval before making any changes." He hoped that after the wedding stuff died down, they would be able to come to some decision about how to join their three families. He wanted to make a way into the future with his husband and their best friend by his side.

"Well, you will have plenty of time to figure out what your business future will look like after we get you hitched," Dakota said.

"Is Leo here yet?" he asked. A part of him was nervous that Leo would come to his senses and leave him at the altar.

"Yep," she said, "he's been here for thirty minutes now. I mean, I don't want to say that he seems eager to marry you, but he's been down at the altar you two built for the last twenty minutes. Maybe you should join him," she teased.

let out a breath that he didn't know that he had been holding and nodded. "Let's go," he said, "I can't wait to marry Leo, and I don't want him to give up waiting for me and take off."

Dakota giggled, "I don't think that's going to happen, . He seems to love you, despite all your faults."

"Ha, ha," grumbled, heading down the stairs to the kitchen. He found his mother standing by the door as though she was waiting for him.

"I won't tell you that you're running late," his mother chided, holding up her hands. "But you're late."

kissed his mother's cheek. "You look beautiful, Ma," he said. She immediately dropped her defenses and smiled at him. "Will you walk me down the aisle?" he asked, holding his arm out to his mother. She burst into tears, and he rolled his eyes. "I didn't mean to make you cry, Ma," he insisted.

"I know, but I'm so proud of you, . You stayed true to yourself and now, you're going to be married. I hope that you and Leo will always remember how lucky you are," she said.

"We will," Leo said, poking his head into the kitchen from the back door. "You're late," he said, looking over, "but, you're worth it." released his mother and pulled Leo against his body. "You look very handsome," Leo said.

"You do too, babe," whispered. "I'm sorry that I'm late, but Dakota gave me 'the talk'. I'm pretty sure that I know what to do on our wedding night now."

"I did not," Dakota shouted at her brother, making them all laugh.

"Should we go out there and get married?" Leo asked.

"I've waited my whole life to hear you ask me that, Leo," breathed. "I'd love to marry you." He took Leo's hand into his own and held out his arm for his mother again. "I guess you're walking us both down the aisle," he said.

"I'd love to," his mother whispered, trying to hold back tears.

"Keep it together, Ma," Dakota grumbled. Leo held out his arm to Dakota and she took it. "Looks like we're both going to walk you down the aisle," Dakota whispered, and damn if she didn't sound about ready to cry.

The four of them walked out to a chorus of cheers and clapping from their wedding guests and wasn't sure how he had gotten so lucky. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones, about to marry the man he had loved for a damn long time. Leo wasn't just his past, he was now going to be his future and for the first time in a long time, felt hopeful about what tomorrow might hold.
