Chapter 2
Ryder
Damn, this woman is tough.
Scarlett was like a small tornado. She came out of nowhere and sent me into a frenzy with her sexy body, sassy attitude, and beautiful smile. She wasn't what I expected, but damn if she didn't catch my eye.
When I agreed to do some charity work, I thought it would only entail a few signed autographs, pictures, and maybe a few hours of my time. However, finding out that I was going to be working with All Our Children, I found myself surprisingly excited.
Ever since I made my way into the professional world of racing, I've wanted to help out others. Coming from Hollow Cove and being raised by my older brothers, I never had a lot. Knowing I can help other kids gives me a new sense of purpose.
Oh shit, did I really just say that?
What I honestly didn't expect was to be intrigued by the stunning woman working at All Our Children.
Riding down the streets of Los Angeles, I can't get the image of Scarlett out of my mind. Those plump lips would look really hot wrapped around my cock.
Revving the engine of my bike, I enjoy the scenic drive as I make my way home. Ever since I moved to Los Angeles, I find that I love just going for a ride. I used to enjoy doing the same in Hollow Cove, but it was usually to calm down after an argument with my brothers. Here, I feel like I can breathe.
Once I get home, I spend a few hours answering emails from my agent and reviewing my upcoming racing schedule.
A ping from my phone has me pausing my work. When I pulled my phone out of my pocket, I saw a text from Blaze.
Blaze : Hey, what is your racing schedule like?
I shot him a screenshot of the schedule my agent just sent me. It's busy, but I like to be busy.
Me: Not a lot of downtime. What's up?
Blaze just got married to Remy. She's pretty cool and I have no idea why she puts up with him, but they are in love.
Blaze: We were just hoping you could make it back to town for a few days. Axel and Ivy are expecting another baby, and you haven't been home in a while.
I cringe when I read his text. Guilt instantly washes over me. Blaze and Remy have a beautiful little girl and Axel and Ivy are on their second baby, another boy for them. Even Drake is married to a woman who has put up with way too much shit from him, but still loves him. I've missed a lot since I moved to Los Angeles.
Me: I know. Once my schedule calms down, I will make it back. Hopefully this time, we won't be dealing with crazy ex-boyfriends, disgruntled assholes like Chuck and Josh, or torched bars.
Being a Raven and part of the Twisted Kingdom Motorcycle Club had made us many enemies. The last couple of times that I had been back home to Hollow Cove, I had spent my time helping my brothers out of some pretty dangerous situations. I loved them and didn't mind to help, but sometimes, I just wanted to relax when I went home. Maybe that's why my trips home were short.
Or maybe it was because the last time I was home, I allowed a shady guy named Josh, to almost destroy my brothers and Lacy was kidnapped. Before hitting it big, I did a lot of illegal street racing to make money to pay for parts for my bike and entry fees into real, legitimate races. It was a fucking thrill to race and I loved doing it when I went home. However, since all of that trouble, I had found excuses not to come home as much as I used to.
Blaze: Ok, just don't stay gone too long.
I stuff my phone back in my pocket and try to focus on my emails once again. However, I have a sick feeling in my stomach knowing that my new world is conflicting with my old life.
